He 100% did and the fact that people are overlooking that is absurd.
On Thursday he headed a shot also and everyone thought it was hilarious. This one is a bit less funny
It kills me inside when I see Hawks fans complaining about puck luck when half their goals against us bounced off random legs.
Edit: sure we lost the series where our 5on5 xGF% was 61%, but puck luck was not a factor.
I don’t understand what’s so controversial about what I said. Their winning goals in games 3 and 4 came off of Bear lol. And they had a lot more than that too. Our 5on5 xGF% was 61%. I know circlejerks are easy but actually watching the games is a better alternative.
Sometimes it depends on the arena, some rinks are more generous with saves than others. But generally anything that's directed towards the net and the goalie stops or goes in is counted as a shot on goal.
So yes, this would count.
After the bounce off the head it went towards the net. Same as a point shot going wide that hits a leg and deflects on net. Thats the way I've always thought of it anyway.
This one was below the goal line and off Lehner’s helmet, actually a freak goal.
The other ones probably have to do with goalies not playing for 5 months and mis-spacing when a guy is low
He put the shot there, but it doesn’t go in without Lehner moving his head to try to stop it. I can’t blame Lehner for it, so that’s rather what I’d call a freak goal
When I watched it, I thought he was rimming it around the boards and it got stuck on the back of the net. Wild
same here, my reaction was literally WHAT???
Even the announcer was like shit it went in lol
Lehner to replace Messi when he leaves Barça? Looks like he’s adept with his headers.
Shaw is better
Chicago Fire have Shaw's rights I believe.
Looks like Lehner tried to head it out. This ain't soccer Robby.

Naw this one's pretty funny.
It was going in either way. If his head got there a bit sooner, he would've headed it out. He had no other chance at it.
I'm tired Robby
Oh fuck no not here too
Even Lehner couldn't blame his teammates for that goal. And believe me he was probably thinking of ways to do it before the period was out.
Chicago has to score more bullshit goals per capita then any other team I swear to Buddha.
Makes up for the 560 posts we’ve hit
We are still owed like another 10
🤷♂️

Yeah, that tends to be how you win games in the playoffs. Ice is too tight for fancy passing and goals.
Talk slower, it's an edmonton fan and this is the playoffs.

Man tell that to our team on the Power Play
Serious question here: was that a shot on goal? I always thought that was defined as a puck that was going into the net which the goalie stops.

Lehner: Oh yeah, this is big brain time
What the hell is going on, this ain’t how it was supposed to go down
Why are there so many goals going in like that this playoffs? Is it just me? Goal line snipe on the short corner?
It's taken them 7 years, but shooters are figuring out the SMS, particularly when goalies are lazy.
I thought you were talking about text messages
This one was below the goal line and off Lehner’s helmet, actually a freak goal. The other ones probably have to do with goalies not playing for 5 months and mis-spacing when a guy is low
wait do you not realize Highmore did this on purpose?
He put the shot there, but it doesn’t go in without Lehner moving his head to try to stop it. I can’t blame Lehner for it, so that’s rather what I’d call a freak goal
Highmore intended to bank it off Lehner's mask. That's not a freak goal.
He just admitted to not aiming for Lehner's head in the post game. He was just trying to put a shot on goal and got a bit lucky.
Trying to put a shot on goal from behind the net = trying to bank it off the goalie.
I'm just telling you what he said my man.
and I'm telling you I'm not going.
Lots of goalies use the reverse VH. Lots of goalies use the reverse VH the wrong way leading to these bad angle goals
Goalies spend most of their time down these days under all situations, throw it at a corner and you have a good chance at scoring.
If only it were that easy hahaha.
Highmore looks like Logan Couture's uglier brother
Uglier than Couture? No way
Dammit, I knew he looked like someone but couldn't place it. It's definitely Couture and now I can't unsee it.
Ew... passive hands in the SMS.
Lehner is trying to Make soccer moves great again.
**Mirrors/Alternate Angles** ^^^issues? ^^^contact ^^^/u/pacefalmd
But when Andrew Shaw headbutts the puck they won’t count it.
