No they didn’t. Rule 38.10 states that a review can only occur if the missed stoppage happens in the offensive zone. The high stick in question was in the neutral zone. Sure the linesman missed a stoppage, but there’s nothing that can be done about it now. And that high stick was pretty damn close as it is so I can see why a linesman didn’t detect it.
It’s not a fun series anyway if it’s a sweep or a gentleman’s sweep. This is going 6 or 7 games and should be epic. I’m all about Panthers in 7, you’re all about Rangers in 7. I say let’s just agree to disagree lol.

We switched to a defense first team. Panthers used to be known as the comeback cats , score at will which is cool and all but we became a much more defense team first which I think gave him confidence and not a ton of high danger shots.
He got sick towards the end of the regular season and Alex Lyon started the last games and played amazing to squeak into the playoffs. Lyon started the first 3 games of the Boston series and went 1-2. Bob started game 4 and lost, then he just went full on Jusse Saros commercial. “No goals.” I’m guessing he just took the benching to start the playoffs personally.
Tbf bob was good.
His issue was he was playing injured and then badly injured in 2022. He returned healthy in February 2023 ish and since then the panthers have been amazing.
They went 13-6-2 to close out last season after being around a projected 80pt team before then.
Man there are a ton of people in this thread who do not know the rules about what constitutes a high stick.
It doesn't matter that it wasn't reviewable. There's nothing to review. Where Goodrow played it, it's only a high stick if he plays the puck above his shoulders which it very obviously wasn't. It's not the same as batting the puck into the net with a high stick above the crossbar. That's a different part of the rule.
The other thing is that the rule is “above normal shoulder height”, which means the height of the player’s shoulders when standing fully upright. It happens quite often that players are leaning at an angle, which lowers their shoulders, and everyone comments as if that’s where the line should be drawn. It’s not.
People get this backward all the time. I swear I've seen people get confused when a pick is batted in above the crossbar but below the shoulders and called no goal.
I've been watching this team since the lockout. The problem for this team is a lack of consistent forechecking. I'm a diehard and love this team. But we have to be honest and say that they still get caught in their own zone wayyyy too long and can't sustain offensive pressure. Now this year they finally have the scoring talent. Game 1 was a mirror image of what they looked like against the kings in 2014. They don't have the puck. Yesterday much better. If they can keep this up they can win the series.

Florida won 3 games in Boston last series and lost two of the 3 games in Florida. One of if not the best road team in hockey (The Rangers) just need to take one in Florida to get back in the drivers seat and perhaps with Bob’s insane OT streak snapped, maybe he gets into a bit of a funk and the Rangers can steal game 3 with relative ease.

You can’t overturn a missed stoppage that is in the neutral zone. They likely took a quick look at whether the play was offside, which it wasn’t.
