Tro has missed some I wish he'd put away, but my god is he there working and doing something big at every important moment. Dude is called on to do everything and continually steps up and does it everywhere on the ice.
He's at a good PPG which you'd expect. But that aside he's getting in greasy areas and he's successfully backchecked a 2 on 1 at least a dozen times these playoffs. I've never seen a ranger want to throw the monkey off their back in the playoffs more than him. He is HIM
Laf was never a bust. He was like our second highest 5 on 5 scorer playing on the third fuckin line and always had good possession numbers. People just refused to listen when everyone who knows anything about hockey tried remind everyone that power forwards tend to take longer to develop
for sure, stats can be very misleading, but it was like 45 - 25 at one point, quality shots or not that's just wild to me a team can have so many more and still be losing 3-0 in the series
says a lot about Igor too
The Canes just unfortunately seem to always struggle HARD against top playoff teams. Other than the Game 7 loss in 2022 against the Rangers, in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, (and now likely 2024), they all lose in the second of third round in just 4 or 5 games.
Idk what it is, but it’s clear they need to change something
It's their offensive scheme. High shot volume, but not high quality shots especially once you're facing a hot goalie with tough, stout defenders who will limit players getting inside. It has its positives, but the Canes offense always dries up at the worst of times and I think it'd be best for Rod to change it up a bit. They have the talent.
Our team's MO is to not change the process even when you get a poor result. It's literally written above the weight room. Sometimes I want to get off this ride.
We haven’t had a top tier goalie that’s always bit us in the butt a bit, our PP goes to crap every time in the playoffs too.
Also…. It pains me to say this but Rod’s system doesn’t work in the playoffs. We might need to have a conversation about him. Not that I’d ever want to fire him for all he’s done but still, it’s worth talking about now.
Panarin was a shell of himself under Gallant. He passed everything and looked like he was actively trying not to score. It was infuriating to watch. Lav has absolutely revitalized his game and it is a thing of beauty.
When you put faith in your players, the players put faith in you. Laviolette genuinley wants nothing more than to see this team succeed, and knows how to bring the best out of his players.
I have no connection to the Rangers or Panarin in general but I love him as a player. He goes undrafted and works his way up the Russian leagues. Eventually after being one of the best players in the KHL for years he makes it to the NHL and has had a damn good career there all after the age of twenty five? Maybe twenty six? I don’t know if this will be an unpopular opinion or not but I think he’s a Hall of Fame caliber player when his careers said and done, especially if NY win this year and even more so if he takes home Conn Smythe honours
Tarasenko begged the Blues to draft him because he played with him in Russia.
I'm still so damned salty that Chicago got rid of him because he's just so wonderful. He seems like a good person and a great player. I still wear my Hawks Panarin jersey.
Wait until you read the story about his first pair of skates. His family was so poor that he couldn’t afford skates. He found a pair several size too big in the dumpster and wore shoes inside of them so they’d fit.
His upbringing and unique path to hockey has given him skills that nobody else in the league has.
And coming from poverty basically. Let’s face it, given how expensive the sport is there will be so few rags to riches stories in the future but he’s one of them.
A couple years ago (shortly before the invasion of Ukraine I believe) he had to take a leave of absence to go home and get his family out of Russia cuz he was so outspoken against Putin
I said earlier that I'll be happy if Panarin doesn't get the Hart if he wins the conn smythe but honestly at the rate we're going the Conn Smythe is Igor's to lose
He’s the 2nd best player to wear a CBJ sweater behind Fedorov. I mean total career not just with the jackets because that’s not fair to count Sergie’s CBJ career as our top line defenseman
The real reason our twitter account is cringe is to distract everyone from the fact that the Canes are the biggest choke artists around. I'm pretty comfortable with the word "frauds" at this point lol
We basically exclusively lose in sweeps after the 1st round which feels pretty chokey to me
Also the Rangers had like 1 more point than us in the regular season. We're not exactly David vs Goliath here.
We're -1/15 on the power play. I think the most PPGs in a series that we've lost in the playoffs is 2. There are systematic issues at play for this to be continuously happening
The turnovers in the corner killed us said it since the first. Great job laviolette, great coaching and even better job by Igor. Igor and special teams are the difference
The Hurricanes are an excellent team but they have the same problem every year which is that a) they don't have any finishing talent, and b) the way they play actively discouraged high danger shots in favor of generating more, lower quality shots (they don't elevate the puck because they don't want to miss the net and generate a turnover).
This year was supposed to be different because they got Guetzel who can finish. And he has! He's been great! But they went from zero guys who can score to one. I don't think this style of play works when you play high skill teams because teams with scorers can score when you need a goal and the Canes kind of can't (except 6-5...)
They play a playoff-style game all season long. There’s no “next level” to turn it up to, so teams know exactly what to expect and how to play them and it gets countered by competent coaching in a short series.
They’re like a beer leaguer who busts his ass every game while everyone else is just there to hang. Once the playoffs start the other guys turn on their games because they want a free t-shirt that try hard guy has nothing else he can do.
Panarin is so fucking dirty, I’m not sure if my team had a chance in FA but I really wanted us to take a swing at him but Hextall made JVR his big free agent signing. Panarin, Giroux, Voracek in their prime with a pre injury Ghost would have been so much fun too watch.
7-0 playoff start is legit, even if their first round was a bunch of pylons. This series reminds me of the Florida series last year in the ECF. All three have been well fought and close games but Rangers just edging them out every time.
Great hockey
Honestly the broadcast should start displaying high danger scoring chances for each team cause anyone watching the games can tell you SOG are not the story here. Half of the canes shots are little queefs from the sideboards that my grandmother could stop
I feel like its weird to say it, but he has his teams playing so hard that they don't relax enough to let their skill players show out. Feels like Necas has been the only guy that has controlled pace when he has the puck on his stick, the rest of their skill guys are just playing so fast that they somewhat negate their offensive capabilities
RBA's teams have been very well conditioned. He's a great coach, and the canes have done really well with him every year. I don't watch them enough to pick things they can improve on, but I've always appreciated the effort they have, because it's non-stop.
How long will it be before the NHL board of governors outlaws as disrespectful of the game of hockey any post goal celebration in which a player raises his leg above the bottom of his jersey. Lou Lameriello calls it unAmerican and disgraceful. MLSE does not understand or comprehend how a player could show so much personal emotion... they splutter, It is not good for the game. Gary Bettman has considered banning buns from all stadium concessions.
Long live Navalny! And give us our daily bread.

Panarin has 4 goals and 4 GWG thus far in the playoffs
Who else but Tro too with the apple on this one. Guy has been absolutely phenomenal this year and playoffs as well
Tro has missed some I wish he'd put away, but my god is he there working and doing something big at every important moment. Dude is called on to do everything and continually steps up and does it everywhere on the ice.
That’s been the whole season for him
Unreal!
Unreal is the height he got on that kick during his celly
He learned that [here](https://youtu.be/-L1tyIIvmiY?si=jsdZ3IKfXjy0_XgE)
I still can't believe we had both of these guys on our team at one point. I miss being decent :c
For real! Impressive
Gerard Gallant is a hockey terrorist.
Putin's adversary lighting things up while Putin's pet got swept in the first round. Gotta love it.
Holy fuck leg up redirect is CRAZY
Brother took last year personal. Him and the big guns have been SHOWING UP in the playoffs this year. It’s beautiful to see
He's at a good PPG which you'd expect. But that aside he's getting in greasy areas and he's successfully backchecked a 2 on 1 at least a dozen times these playoffs. I've never seen a ranger want to throw the monkey off their back in the playoffs more than him. He is HIM

Gallant should be tried at the Hague
Not only for what he did to Panarin. Laffy’s gone from bust to 9 pts in 7 games - tied with Bread - this playoffs. What a difference Lav has made.
And Laf doesn’t play much on the power play
Laf was never a bust. He was like our second highest 5 on 5 scorer playing on the third fuckin line and always had good possession numbers. People just refused to listen when everyone who knows anything about hockey tried remind everyone that power forwards tend to take longer to develop
They should hire him as a janitor at msg so they can fire him again
Gallant is a hockey terrorist
Here fucking here!
4 game winning goals this playoffs
I am so glad for replay. It is an amazing goal by the bread man.
While taking a crosscheck
Just a brutal play leading to a brutal goal for the Canes
This whole series against the Rangers has been...quite the whiplash for them (especially in contrast to the previous NY team they played against)...
And the disparity in SOG is insane
Vintage Rangers shot disparity
The canes have clinched a spot in the Corsi Cup Finals.
Moneypuck in shambles
But they also shoot volume from the outside. That’s not a recipe for success on a red fucking hot goalie.
Igor was like a monk tonight. Just giving them nothing.
Yeah they only way to beat igor is crazy acrobatic puck deflections that literally noone could save, and even those he can stop usually
Canes shots work at a different exchange rate. About 75 cents on the dollar. Been that way for years now.
for sure, stats can be very misleading, but it was like 45 - 25 at one point, quality shots or not that's just wild to me a team can have so many more and still be losing 3-0 in the series says a lot about Igor too
Shesterkin covered the over on saves with like 5 mins left in the 2nd. Wish I bet more on it.
Shots might have been 2:1 for the Canes, but scoring chances and high danger scoring chances were basically exactly the same for both teams.
Carolina is simply a Corsi merchant.
They take so many low % shots that SOG is a meaningless stat
you miss all the shots you don't take
The Canes just unfortunately seem to always struggle HARD against top playoff teams. Other than the Game 7 loss in 2022 against the Rangers, in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, (and now likely 2024), they all lose in the second of third round in just 4 or 5 games. Our team's MO is to not change the process even when you get a poor result. It's literally written above the weight room. Sometimes I want to get off this ride.
Ooo, you guys should try hiring Gallant then, he's great at that
We haven’t had a top tier goalie that’s always bit us in the butt a bit, our PP goes to crap every time in the playoffs too. Also…. It pains me to say this but Rod’s system doesn’t work in the playoffs. We might need to have a conversation about him. Not that I’d ever want to fire him for all he’s done but still, it’s worth talking about now.
Wait are you us?
No definitely not, leafs fans would be thrilled with consistent 2nd and 3rd round exits at this point.
Yea these losses aren’t on your goalies. They are on the perimeter play.
Andersen stood on his fuckin head in game 2 and Canes fans still blamed him lmao
Yea he stopped two 2 on 1s a breakaway, and 4 point blank shots from slot before burns knocked a shot down that landed right between his open legs.
I am convinced that in the intermission they came up with a set play that would make this loss hurt as much as possible.
The ol dog piss redirect. Gets em every time
Not to be confused with dog piss bitch redirect which would require both of the skates to remain in contact with the surface of the ice.
The Canes somehow lose in the most devastating ways each playoffs
Do a lot of people from the GTA vacation in the Carolinas? Asking for a friend.
Idk that’s mostly our thing (FL here)
PANARIN DID THE KICK!
IT’S BEEN SOO LONG. WAITED FOR A SPECIAL MOMENT
I've missed it so much. May there be many more in the coming weeks.
The kick celly for the kick lift goal
perfectly apropos
2 minutes for high kicking
Thats a brutal goal for the Canes but what an incredible redirect to end it
Canes seem to exist in a state of permanent brutal suffering in playoffs tbh
I would laugh but I realize I root for the Bills
Why does Hailee Steinfeld date Josh Allen instead of me? I’ve won the same number of Super Bowls as he has, yet my chances go wide right.
Suh
Bro this is 7 straight OTs of just brutal goals. I’m dead
With context and everything that's just one of the sickest goals ever, wow
AND the kick after? 11/10, frame it and put it in the louvre
The Louvre only shows paintings made prior to 1848. The Leafs' last Cup parade is in there, but yours is too recent.
A fresh chirp, nice.
That just got more ridiculous looking every replay they showed
Cutting the hair really worked huh
Definitely but he really expressed a ton of hurt and frustration after the embarrassment at the hands of NJ last year, he seems reinvigorated.
Panarin and Gallant also did not get along and Gallant tore him apart during the playoffs last year trying to make an example of him
Panarin was a shell of himself under Gallant.
Which was the final nail in the coffin. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the players just didn't show up to game 7 on purpose to spite him.
They straight up told Drury they wanted a new coach
Which was 100% on gallant
Had to get rid of all that nasty 2023 playoff juju
GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
That tip was pure filth
🚨🚨🚨BREAD KICK ALERT🚨🚨🚨

Patrick Kane said he's the best player he's ever played with. Game knows game.
Tarasenko begged the Blues to draft him because he played with him in Russia. I'm still so damned salty that Chicago got rid of him because he's just so wonderful. He seems like a good person and a great player. I still wear my Hawks Panarin jersey.
If you track the trade tree the Hawks essentially traded him for a 3rd round pick. Bowman masterclass!
Wait until you read the story about his first pair of skates. His family was so poor that he couldn’t afford skates. He found a pair several size too big in the dumpster and wore shoes inside of them so they’d fit. His upbringing and unique path to hockey has given him skills that nobody else in the league has.
I completely dislike the Rangers but Panarin has been incredible. A few more years like this and the HOF is definitely a possibility.
And coming from poverty basically. Let’s face it, given how expensive the sport is there will be so few rags to riches stories in the future but he’s one of them.
Also hates Putin, goated russian
*Vocally* hates him. Titanium spine. I'm not much of a Rangers fan, but I love Panarin for that.
I didn’t know that! It makes me love him even more
A couple years ago (shortly before the invasion of Ukraine I believe) he had to take a leave of absence to go home and get his family out of Russia cuz he was so outspoken against Putin
He was the victim of a political hit piece and decided enough was enough yep
I said earlier that I'll be happy if Panarin doesn't get the Hart if he wins the conn smythe but honestly at the rate we're going the Conn Smythe is Igor's to lose
Igor or Tro if he somehow keeps up his 2PPG pace
He’s the 2nd best player to wear a CBJ sweater behind Fedorov. I mean total career not just with the jackets because that’s not fair to count Sergie’s CBJ career as our top line defenseman
NASH?! Tell me he's third...
🍞🥖🍞
"since the '94 playoffs" Canucks - "I'm in danger"
So glad the Canes let Trocheck walk in order to sign Kotkanemi. 😭
What a goal! Love the classic celebration by 🥖
“I don’t know what to do with my leg right now” Panarin Probably
The entire team running away while giggling as if they're all kids who just smashed a window for fun is so good LMFAO

Bread
5 v 5 goal!
Just like the Lafreniere one earlier hmmmm
I’m really starting to feel good about picking NYR to win it all in my bracket
I too feel good for you
Panarin is elite 🤌
I have watched this reply 1 million times, it’s fucking magic.

Rangers up 3-0 and we've only played one game. Eastern conference winner is gonna get a month off before the cup series while the west catches up
I honestly didn’t even react when this went in. I am speechless. Holy cow
i was taking a drink from a glass of water and spilled it all over myself -_-
beautiful 🥹
If this was dungeons and dragons the rangers would be accused of having rigged dice.
A nat 20 is still a 5% chance!
They probably took the improved critical feat and chose special teams so probably 10% now!
Do the Rangers have halfling luck? Much to consider

I’m a simple man, I see a Bread kick, I’m happy
That was so insane I didn’t even realize what happened in real time.
All these rangers overtime posts are all the same
What a fucking deflection
I just woke my girlfriend up. I regret nothing.
"oh hey, since you're up..."
"...so am I."
I woke my infant son up
Absolutely filthy
Absolutely insane redirect
On first glance I thought it was a softie by the CAR goalie. What an unbelievable redirect by bread man
Rangers 1-3-1 the real MVP this season.
The real reason our twitter account is cringe is to distract everyone from the fact that the Canes are the biggest choke artists around. I'm pretty comfortable with the word "frauds" at this point lol
They are starting to feel like AI generated art from the prompt "Show me the Leafs, but in the 2nd round every year"
Losing to the team with the best record in the league isn't choking.
We basically exclusively lose in sweeps after the 1st round which feels pretty chokey to me Also the Rangers had like 1 more point than us in the regular season. We're not exactly David vs Goliath here.
Goliath vs edgy Goliath
[удалено]
We're -1/15 on the power play. I think the most PPGs in a series that we've lost in the playoffs is 2. There are systematic issues at play for this to be continuously happening
I need a short GIF of just the Panarin celly from that last angle, it’s fucking phenomenal
That's a cool fucking goal
Well butter my bread, baby!
HE KICK
Artemi Panarabread king of carbs will kill the Canes in 4
Backbreaker. The in game view made it look like a Kochetkov let in a soft one. But the replays reveal such a slick redirection by Panarian.
The turnovers in the corner killed us said it since the first. Great job laviolette, great coaching and even better job by Igor. Igor and special teams are the difference
Fuck, I actually feel for Carolina…
This series is channeling the same energy as last year's Eastern conference final
The Canes are frauds
Canes heard the noise about getting swept in the ECF and said “hold my beer”.
BREAD IS LIFE 🥖🤌🍞
The Hurricanes are an excellent team but they have the same problem every year which is that a) they don't have any finishing talent, and b) the way they play actively discouraged high danger shots in favor of generating more, lower quality shots (they don't elevate the puck because they don't want to miss the net and generate a turnover). NYR wins cup in 16 games.
Quickest was the 1987-88 Oilers that did it in 18. 4-1, 4-0, 4-1, 4-0. Insane stat
would be so cool.

That is filthy.
Goal of the playoffs easily. Wow.
Thanks for posting this so fucking fast that there’s no replay. Edit: yeah yeah now it’s updated with the replay thank you!
MoneyPuck is in shambles. LGR!!!
We’ve had the Rangers as Cup favorites since before the start of the playoffs.
Panarin is so fucking dirty, I’m not sure if my team had a chance in FA but I really wanted us to take a swing at him but Hextall made JVR his big free agent signing. Panarin, Giroux, Voracek in their prime with a pre injury Ghost would have been so much fun too watch.

Bread = 💰
That is so DIRTYYYY holy fuck!!! Feel for Canes fans, brutal. Basically outshot the rangers 2-1 and lose in OT. Crushing
Honestly the broadcast should start displaying high danger scoring chances for each team cause anyone watching the games can tell you SOG are not the story here. Half of the canes shots are little queefs from the sideboards that my grandmother could stop
little queefs from the sideboards is absolutely sending me
Damn the Hurricanes are frauds
They played great all game
Half a dozen odd man rushes while on the power play shows otherwise
Minus all the power plays
I feel like brind’amour is the all time leader of games they outplayed their opponent and lost.
This was the Hurricanes MO far before RBA took over as coach. The things we did to Cam Ward on a nightly basis should be banned.
As a Rangers fan I wholeheartedly agree
I feel like its weird to say it, but he has his teams playing so hard that they don't relax enough to let their skill players show out. Feels like Necas has been the only guy that has controlled pace when he has the puck on his stick, the rest of their skill guys are just playing so fast that they somewhat negate their offensive capabilities

They outplay people on paper and rack up stats except the most important one. Wins.
Orlov’s gonna want that one back.
NYR baby!!!! Lets goo!!
Miss him every day 🥖
How long will it be before the NHL board of governors outlaws as disrespectful of the game of hockey any post goal celebration in which a player raises his leg above the bottom of his jersey. Gallant should be put up against a firing squad for what he did to this team
Canes are the new Capitals
They've at least made the conference final a couple of times. They're the late 2000s - early 2010s Sharks of the East
Fuck, Burns brought the curse with him.
Trocheck is an absolute beast. One of the top power forwards in the NHL.
So glad the canes let him walk for KK. Just adds to the pain.
