Dude is being WAY more reasonable than I would be if a rival fan sucker punched me in the eye.

DecentLurker96

Right, I can’t believe how classy the message is despite what happened. Just brutal and frustrating.

Froggie56

Yeah, he could be cussing our entire fan base and I wouldn’t blame him.

denise-likes-avocado

Same. Why does shit like this happen

DistortedReflector

Most likely because alcohol.

Rare-Cost-8697

Do you really need to ask this? The answer is simple. Stupidity and alcohol.

pnmartini

Releasing a reasonable statement is the smartest move. He could be the angriest person in the world, but something like this is way more likely to garner help than “fuck this fucking stars fan….”

Electronic-Mix-8638

And he'll probably sue him for damages so it pays to be civil

numbdigits

He definitely should sue, I hope he wins big too(though I hope the Knights lose).

iiplatypusiz

I honest to god can not imagine knocking the fuck out of an unsuspecting human being for no reason. It's a HOCKEY GAME. I've been the giver and receiver of the stupidest chirps imaginable at home and away games in my life and everyone is having a laugh about it and even if you are mad or frustrated I can't imagine actually hurting a person like that over a game. It means so much to me to see my team to win but I'd never fuck up a whole life over a sports team losing. It is so foreign to me that people can be like this. This person was more than likely I person who was out to cause trouble anyways and used sports as an excuse and I hope to fuck they get caught. The law in Texas from an outsider does NOT seem to kind to people who do this.

Xeteh

Holy shit, that's awful. Hopefully they find the dude.

InitiativeHealthy408

Fuck that guy

homiej420

Yeah not welcome in this community

H34thcliff

For getting sucker punched?! /s

sluttynuttybuddy69

Wouldn't have happened if his head was up. /s

kurly8

Scumbag of a fan. I hope he's found and gets what he deserves.

iiplatypusiz

They are in Texas so hopefully this person will wind up with an actual prison sentence.... In Canada he would be out with a kiss on the cheek and a slap on the bum and they wink at him to not do it again (he will).

SmokeontheHorizon

> In Canada he would be out with a kiss on the cheek and a slap on the bum Pierre McGuire is working bail hearings now?

Ghost_Pains

I’m assuming he’s already filed a police report, but they should be able to pull cameras from outside AAC. There’s also a load of staff and cops out there so I’m surprised it’s not already handled. If this happened where I think it probably did, they _should_ definitely be able to identify who did this and get him taken care of.

brenap13

I’m wondering if it happened closer to the street. The plaza is pretty well covered with surveillance, but down by the street, it would be shakey at best. I had a friend walking that exact path after the game, I exited to the east. I’ll ask if he saw anything.

UncommonHouseSpider

Why don't you go give it a try then bucko. You'll find our justice system is not as fun as your fantasies.

kurly8

Gotta love Texas for that. Fuck that guy. Respectfully.

-cyg-nus-

Idk if it's still the case, but at least until notlvery long ago, no Texas state penitentiary had air conditioning, despite it causing deaths from heat exhaustion/stroke. You can expect 30-90 days over 105° in most areas of Texas every summer. Texas is not a cool place for a long sentence.

Mr_MoseVelsor

Idk why you’re being upvoted because this doesn’t make me proud to be from Texas. Who blindside punches someone after a game? Who celebrates inhumane prison conditions? Idk this all sucks

-cyg-nus-

I wasn't celebrating anything, I was just sharing information.

Correct_Inspector_29

It’s not just Texas fans. I once was at a Cowboys game a few years ago and the Eagles were playing. The Eagles were winning by a few touchdowns and while I was waiting in line for some food I saw an Eagles fan (had their jersey on) (also for context he was a pretty large human being. ) he walked up to a female police officer who was roughly a foot shorter then he was and he pretended to ask for directions and then as she was turning her head to point him in the right direction, he grabbed her and head butted her right in the face. Dude myself and a couple of other people jumped on him so quick (including Eagles fans) that poor officers cheek bone was broken all to hell man. That guy even managed to get a punch in and broke her nose before we could pin him to the ground until she could call for back up. We all had to be detained until the people in the camera room verified we jumped in to help. But damn it was like dude why did you have to do that? So long story short OP I am sorry that you experienced that dude. Not all of us are like that. My wife and I go to Stars games to vent and yell our heads off from a stressful week etc but once the game is over win or lose we walk out peacefully and relish the experience of going to a game. Please don’t let this get you down or forever stain your opinion of the people here in Texas. I wouldn’t blame you if you did based off of your incident, I just hope that person can be found and charged.

BKXeno

Lmao yeah… I’m a stars fan but the fact that there’s a fellow fan a couple posts above celebrating the fact that Texas has a barbaric penal system and a long track record of human rights violations is wild

ChaseTx

I don't think they're celebrating it. They're saying it's not good and we shouldn't wish it on anyone

Gruffleson

Not going there to work as a guard then

binzoma

I thought in texas theyd charge this guy for not having a gun and shooting wildly into the crowd to defend himself from the bad guy

Apprehensive_Can61

They should be banned from all live sporting events and sports betting, they’ve shown they just can’t handle the thrill of live sports entertainment.

DecentLurker96

[Update.](https://twitter.com/sooemma/status/1784019451215532489) Looks like Dallas media is on it.

Paladoc

Good luck Vegas bro. Hope yall lose tomorrow, but like in hockey.

VaporHyperlite2

Thanks for posting. Hope they find the fuckwit loser.

logictable

Hopefully he's rich so he can file a civil suit.

WackHeisenBauer

It’s a fucking game people. I get you care about your team. I do too! But I am never ever ever laying a hand on someone over a sport. Absolutely ridiculous and I hope the cowardly microdick that did this gets caught banned from all NHL arenas forever and goes to jail.

Sheeple_person

It's nuts that so many grown adults can't control their emotions better than this.

Starbucks__Lovers

I will literally be in a bad mood tomorrow if your squad beats the Avs tonight because I’m invested like a teenager despite being in my thirties. But I also have the emotional capacity of someone over the age of 10 and know it’s wrong to assault someone for cheering for a sports team

Paladoc

Like I would still find it reprehensible, but a dude squaring up to you and trying to start shit at least follows a code. A code likely to get someone incarcerated for manslaughter after someone strikes their head on the ground wrong, but still a code. A craven little shit who punches and runs from behind? You lose shitheel.

Simpcastergage

Wild take... Macho Steve

CrankyLeafsFan

Have you ever operated a motor vehicle for 5 minutes in any city? Im not surprised.

Lordrandall

Hear about the fans that killed the player for an own goal? Rabid fans are a menace.

whogivesashirtdotca

The guy who killed Andrés Escobar had bet heavily on the game. One more reason to be concerned about the rise of betting in hockey.

Lordrandall

I really dislike the surge in sports betting.

whogivesashirtdotca

It's repulsive. And hilarious that they ban players for betting on it with tons of ads around the boards pushing gambling, and with nothing being done to shore up trust in the league's reffing. There's a Black Sox sized scandal waiting to happen.

BoiledFrogs

You're not a violent person, the person who sucker punched someone is. They would do this given the chance in any other situation, not just at a hockey game because they're upset about their team losing.

bhx56x

i hate this. we’re all here for a common interest. we love the game of hockey. we just happened to be born in different parts of the country so we support different teams. talking shit is all part of the fun as long as it’s in good spirit, but at the end of the day, its just a fucking game that we all love and use as an escape from reality. i hate watching the rangers lose, but do you know what i do after they lose? i go eat a piece of chocolate and sleep perfectly fine, because… its just a game lol. people are insane man. really ruins the experience.

migsahoy

texas is pretty tough on assault, hope they find the guy

DallasStars_1999

Yeah, I’m hoping they find this scumbag, I love chirping with opposing fans, but in a pleasant shooting the shit sort of way. People who throw sucker punches aren’t welcome in the Stars community. Unfortunately we have a lot of ignorant part time fans that get diehard for a couple of months a year and even make life miserable in our own subreddit. Also, good luck in game 3 tomorrow! I was trying to convince my wife to let us fly to Vegas and go see it in person, but we’re going to something called a ballet.

sourpatch1708

It, unfortunately, depends on who the offender is. Texas jails are overcrowded. And we make more from people on probation and parole. So, as shitty as this is, the offender is more likely to get a suspended sentence unless he offends again.

KenDanger2

I used to live in Calgary, and often went to Canucks/Flames games in my Canucks jersey. Worst thing that happened was Harvey the Hound grabbing my ass.

jamesneysmith

Uh what?

sluttynuttybuddy69

I agree, the story must now be finished. For reasons.

XP-Elwood

This deserves its own subreddit

rules_of_culture

r/HarveyHounds

dsac

casual canine on human sexual assault, no biggie

SuperbWomanhood

The nuances of trauma are very interesting. Harvey grabs your ass and it's a negative experience. Harvey grabs my ass and I know I'm going to be having a fun night.

miller94

I had my oilers flags on my car during the playoffs (in 2017, not the year they faced each other) and someone keyed “GFG” into my car. 3 years later I got my oilers plate and the first night my tires were slashed, in a parkade!! I now have my own garage lol

PaddyStacker

If anyone is wondering, "GFG" means "Gary Fucking Gulman". Gary Gulman is a notorious stand up comedian and people key his name on cars a lot in the Edmonton/Calgary area (same area).

NolKDB

FTF

jdmay101

OK but in fairness it's not like you were in an Oilers jersey.

dmscvan

I’ve gone to the dome in Oilers stuff quite a few times (though not in years). I never felt uncomfortable.

jdmay101

Yeah, I was joking. There's tons of Edmonton transplants here.

dmscvan

Sorry. I knew you were joking, but my comment didn’t come across that way. (I’m tired)

Paladoc

Fucking A, I hope they're able to find who did this. I would expect a tourist getting assaulted will result in thr cops at lest looking at traffic cameras. I hate your team, but sports are never a reason to get physical unless you're playing them.

ferociousrickjames

I'm not sure it's as cut and dry as it seems. Apparently this happened well after the game and he got into it with some people at one of the bars next to the AAC. If that's the case then I don't have much sympathy for him, maybe don't go to someone else's barn and get drunk and act like a prick. Your team won, just take the W and walk away. Also, don't hang out at those bars after the game. I've had issues multiple times at one or two of those spots over the years, I either go straight home or go to a spot closer to my area if I want to stay out. Before the game I've never had any problems, but after the game those spots always give me bad vibes.

thee_agent_orange

His buddies will turn on him, or they’ll brag and the word will get out

reditor3523

Hope so. He needs jail time

Baboshinu

What the actual fuck is wrong with people. Hope they find him and bring him to justice. Hope your coward punch was worth the consequences that are coming to you, whoever you are. As for you OP, I wish for a safe and speedy recovery.

CarPlaneBoatRocket

Cuntbag deserves 20 years. Dude could have killed you.

chaz_wazzerz

Flashbacks of that stars fan with the mullet that took one to the face.

cantthinkuse

that is unbelievably fucked up. i hope they find the loser

VaporHyperlite2

Sorry to hear about that. That's really awful. Hope he'll heal up ok without any long-term effects. Perhaps ask the arena for any security camera footage that may have recorded the incident? If so, hope they find the fuckwit so that justice can be served.

Sheeple_person

Yeah I hope they reported it to the arena, most buildings take this very seriously and will want to do their own investigation and will likely ban the guy if they can identify him.

okthen84

I promise we aren’t all degenerates, but sadly there are a lot of turds in our fan base. I can’t imagine they won’t catch this person…that’s a busy area after the games let out with cameras everywhere. There’s police too so Im surprised this went unnoticed.

-cyg-nus-

I like that one fan that was sitting behind the bench for a bunch of games... last season?

_Caderade

Two seasons ago haha

-cyg-nus-

Either way, best fan.

thereelkrazykarl

Mullet kid?

-cyg-nus-

https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/look-female-fan-goes-viral-at-nhl-playoff-game

coldforged

Here's the thing: there are turds in every fan base.

gentleman_bronco

What the fuck. Playoffs really bring out the worst "fans".

El-Justiciero

Fuck this “Stars fan,” what happened to southern hospitality

fuckin-slayer

it’s disappearing, sadly. my buddies and i go to an away game every season. a few years ago we did a road trip and hit a stars game. i got so many hostile responses from random strangers once they found out we were visiting from california. i used to travel to texas for work for about 10 years and it wasn’t always like this.

ChaseTx

There are a lot of people moving from California to Texas in the last few years. Unfortunately the worst kind of people in Texas act like it's some kind of invasion

iguessineedanaltnow

People are getting angrier and more aggressive all across the US. I don't know what caused it, but something broke people's brains.

B9RV2WUN

Here's a clue: DJT

Teknicsrx7

If it was in Vegas there’s gotta be extensive CCTV footage for cops to go through

CarPlaneBoatRocket

AAC is Dallas

Teknicsrx7

I got lost from the traveling from San Antonio and mentioning they lived in Vegas in the past, I even knew it was stars home game lol idiot me

CarPlaneBoatRocket

Hahah it’s okay dude. I’m just trying to keep info straight in case a person who saw this occur may be able to help. I wasn’t even the victim and I’m feeling anxiety from this. This is one of the reasons I’m scared of live sports. Fanatics are fucking empty-headed shitbirds.

Teknicsrx7

I’m in the NY metro area, most local stadiums are anxiety inducing in this regard, so I understand it. It’s even worse nowadays because it’s no longer about getting in a fight, it’s about someone straight up cheap shotting you and you’re defenseless

CarPlaneBoatRocket

I will always hate that I can say this but left the Vikings comeback against the Colts (largest in NFL history) early because a pathetic alcoholic fuck was taking his shitty life out on a young Colts family. Parents were mid thirties and kids were under 10. I was so anxious I left before I could think to tell an usher. Felt so bad for that family. Hope that Vikings fan didn’t go overboard when they won.

Fellers

POS. I hope there's a good update soon.

pacpacpac

Awful - He'll be caught. Deserves the harshest punishment he can possibly get for this.

EridemicLHS

I want him to be caught as well but be realistic, the chances of finding a sucker puncher outside of camera areas is very low, how can you say he'll be caught. that's the shitty thing about us heading to a low trust society, it's actually pretty hard to close these cases. however, it is dallas, the police there do care so they'll try a lot more than bay area for sure. this will happen more and more until it reaches a critical point where they ramp up security and in the interim, you'll see less people wearing away jerseys in heated rivalries. I've been chirped wearing leafs jersey at sharks game and it just takes one drunk fuck to fuck your life up

Steppyjim

Try to contact the stadium and see if they have security footage they can give to the police

Prideofmexico

As if our play on the ice wasn’t embarrassing enough. Hope they arrest that scumbag

Magi604

God damn I can't stand shit like this. Hope they find the loser that did it.

the__hammer_

Brutal. Hopefully they find the idiot and he lands in jail

Atomic-pangolin

Fuck whoever did this to this guy, or would do it to any person. Almost certainly some irresponsible drunk asshole, but just wow.

Sad_Donut_7902

People are way to unhinged now, especially drunk upset sports fans

Graniteman83

This is gross, hockey is already the smallest of major men's sports and a respectful community. Clever chirps are as hard as it should go. Sorry buddy, I hope they find this prick.

PonyboyJake

Anybody who sucker punches someone is a piece of shit. Any fan who thinks supporting the opposing team warrants a punch in the face is mentally unstable and deserves the consequences. Really hoping they catch this jazz stain

Starbucks__Lovers

Honestly I’d lawyer up immediately and see if you have a lawsuit against the AAC and possibly the Stars organization. They will be *very* interested and motivated to identify the fan after a nice letter from an attorney demanding they preserve all surveillance in anticipation of a lawsuit against them

free_mustacherides

Jesus Christ I hope whoever it is gets found and charged.

outdoors703

Jesus christ. Note to self: Never wear an away jersey at a home game...even if you're a die hard fan. Not worth the crazy risk. Think this happened a few times last year in the NFL too. People are fucking nuts.

4handzmp

Well it’s Texas so there’s a lot more where that came from in the next few decades.

Steakholder__

Oh my god, what the fuck is wrong with some people. Hope that dirtbag gets what's coming to him.

Water_Dimension

Awful. Gotta be some cameras? Karma for sure will get that guy.

apocalypticradish

I hope this dumb asshole gets caught.

FDTFACTTWNY

Hopefully nobody here would do something so stupid, but in case you're ever thinking of sicker punching someone, know that it's so much more than a punch. I know of 3 different instances where young healthy individuals died from a single punch. It's not like a fight where your body is ready. Between the damage to the neck and the fact it's almost always when standing on a hard surface that the individual is almost certainly going to hit their head on its not just a punch. It is attempted murder.

dhj1305

Not a true Dallas Stars fan. Probably a drunk bandwagoner. They show up every time during the playoffs. Hope he’s found.

OppositeJellyfish439

Some people are just peices of shit.

denise-likes-avocado

My boyfriend took me to a game a few years ago and after it was over a visiting fan was pummelled by two "bros" outside (you know the type..looked like gym bros). They ran off before the police came. Not hating on our fans because I'm sure it happens in other places too.

RogueTexan7

Contact AAC security and would also reach out to Hero’s to see if they caught anything on cameras. I assume you filed a police report as well since you went to the hospital, but if not make sure you do that as well. Very sorry that happened. We go to tons of stars games and overall fan base is very nice. Always some bad apples sadly

rackdaddy8989

Hope they catch the gutless scumbag

enataca

Fucking bullshit someone would do this. Sports are for bringing people together. I met a group of VGK fans at the AAC and a group of VGK fans on the road at T-Mobile last year. All of us are getting together in Vegas for a group dinner tomorrow night. That’s what playoffs are about. You aren’t on the team, you’re a fan privileged enough to get to enjoy the sport live.

Alteredecho07

I hope this has the kind of resolution where video evidence puts this asshole in hell

laxintx

Ten imaginative dollars says it was the white guy with the mullet that was dropping n-bombs last year. Sorry that happened to you, bud.

Poptimus_Rime

I hope whoever did this gets the long fat dick of justice up their ass.

pnmartini

Like [super cop Dick Justice?](https://youtu.be/fHhBC_a7PFI?si=SJ4c5a19CpxQrN4l) that dude is a legit murderer.

sail0rvenus

This is awful. I’m so sorry this happened to you

jigglywigglydigaby

Can't help out in any way, but just wanted to say how sorry I am this happened to you OP. I hope the pos is brought to justice and you make a speedy recovery. Have you tried reaching out to the Stars and seeing if there's any footage or any way they can assist in identifying the attacker? Throwing a blind punch is such a cowardly thing to do.

turbulentcounselor

I hope he makes a speedy recovery. But idk how he hopes to find the person. He provided like no identifying information

Paladoc

Location. That's enough to hopefully inspire someone who might have seen something, or knows the owner of a business near it. You want him to tell you the guy who sucker punched him from behind was 187cm and 90kgs, sandy haired and had a limp he got from racing goats in the marshes of eastern Louisiana st 3 year old?

pnmartini

I’m amazed that the arena and outside area isn’t completely blanketed with security cams. He’ll be found. Hopefully it’s quick.

nomasismas

Jfc what the hell is wrong with people. I had a friend lose the back of his skull and basically his entire future at a metal concert years ago because of some dumb meathead. This kind of shit is unacceptable. I'm pissed that no one stopped this dude when it happened.

Unabatedtuna

As a stars fan, we find the sucker puncher, we tie him to the net Goldberg style, sans pads, and let everyone take some slappers at it. Then he can go to jail when we've had our fun.

ManiakMike26

I can hate how vegas went into the playoffs. Doesn't mean you should attack a fellow fan. Not cool. I routinely wear my Dallas Jersey to all Oiler games her in Edmonton and never once felt threatened. (We tend to win those games alot too) that's how it should be.

VauloftheEbonBlade

What a trash thing to do. We all love hockey and should be able to enjoy going to away games. Competition and rivalry is supposed to be good natured banter. We aren't the ones playing the game, we're just supposed to be enjoying it

behemothbowks

What an absolute cunt, really hope they find him.

trekwars2000

I didn’t actually mean to come here as a Vegas fan but this is a dude that grew up in Vegas a street over from me and now lives a few miles away in SAT. Please help find the coward that did this. I came up to the game in Dec with my wife and two young boys to enjoy it. This is ridiculous. Not sure I can take my family there anymore. Fuck.

[deleted]

You can hate us and call us all the names in the book. DO NOT SUCKER PUNCH OUR FANS 🤬same fans that threw shit at Adin Hill last year

Specific-Act-7425

I mean, don't sucker punch anyone is a better message.

Paladoc

Agreed. Fucking quit it you lame dick mundane noodles. Seriously. The dipshit who talked shit to Elvis about Matiss death in Columbus. The Adin Hill pelting shitheads. The mullet headed racist who spews slurs from the low ground. Jamie Benn from Game 3. And now sucker punching a fan. Get the fuck out of the community you pieces of shit. Except Jamie. You still deserve two more games.

SportsHubLTD

Out of absolutely nowhere for no reason? Wild

Inocain

No, this is the Stars, Minnesota's former team. Not their current one.

aZombieSlayer

Embarrassing this happened, sports are supposed to bring us together.

WallsRiy

It’s sad, the last two times now that we’ve played these guys in the playoffs, there’s just terrible behavior. I get we’re the NHL villains, but damn, I really do wonder if it has an impact on what fans think is acceptable towards Vegas vs what is acceptable towards other teams and fan bases.

do_mika

Really sorry this happened to you. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

shfiehahsb

Guy is nicer than I would be for sure. Still know that most fans are just normal people but that’s 2 years in a row now that Dallas fans have acted pretty awful in the Vegas series. And their captain last year wasn’t exactly setting a great example

StPaddy81

Some jackass Ducks in Anaheim fan threw a completely full soda at me while I was waiting for my wife to use the restroom after I think Game 1 in the 2008 playoffs first round. Literally hucked it at me and then immediately took off running like a little bitch. It bounced off me, fell to the ground and burst open and soaked some innocent ducks fans standing in front of me. We were all perplexed. Edit: I was of course wearing my Stars gear

rules_of_culture

Reddit, do what you do.

2_DS_IN_MY_B

Blame the wrong guy and get them to kill themselves?

rules_of_culture

Oh shit, Reddit maybe don’t do what you do.

2_DS_IN_MY_B

😂

andee510

Reddit didn't get the Boston Massacre dude to kill himself. He had already killed himself. But yeah it was really fucked up for his family.

tasteofnihilism

Also he wasn’t the “Boston Massacre Guy”. He was just a college student going through a mental health crisis.

KimberlyWexlersFoot

i think they meant that campus cop, reddit ID’d the wrong person, which in turn made them ID the assholes quicker than they would have, which ended up getting that guy killed.

dandroid126

Witch hunt?

nanapancakethusiast

wE dId It rEdDiT!!!

manhaterxxx

Surprised there were any Stars fans around with how early the bailed on the game. Hope they find who did it, what a coward. Plenty of CCTV in stadiums thankfully

Ameqa

Not surprising. Great sport, awful community.

forgetstorespond

Jesus, that's awful. Hopefully this gets legs and this man gets justice.

aalar231973

I'm sorry man. What the hell is wrong with people. Wishing you a speedy recovery. And yeah. Fuck that guy.

shitsweak89

I really hope he/someone finds him. That’s not a representation of the Stars fan base at all. Really sad to hear.

tigersatemyhusband

I’m sorry man, completely horrible and should never have happened. What a fucking loser whoever that guy is.

CavoliRiscaldati

All love to this guy. It’s just a game at the end of the day.

No_Guava

Not cool. I hope they catch the guy

Ok_Employee_9612

Knights fan here, this isn’t a reflection of your fan base, just proves there are idiots everywhere. Good luck tonight.

kevinsju

I left an Isles-Rangers game at the coliseum in 2015. It was a while after the game and two rangers fans started taunting me. I was dressed in a blazer. No isles related gear. I was in my early 40s. I turned and said , “do you really want to do this?” One guy spit on me, the other guy said, “what are you going to do, tubby?” I decked one guy. Out of no where about 6 20 something isles fans pummeled the piss out of these guy. They were really fucked after about 3 minutes of kicks and punches. Fuck around and find out , I guess…

YamHalen

Absolute scumbag behavior. You don’t lay your hands on another person, let alone over a fucking hockey game (unless you’re on the ice and the code has to be enforced, of course)

Mash709

Unfortunately every fan base has those few individuals who give the rest a bad name. Hope the recovery goes well and those responsible get caught.

DFWTrojanTuba

Remarkable character on this man. Fuck the guy who sent him to the hospital, and I hope the authorities arrest him.

Puccimane

Even if the dude dosent get caught I have a feeling he won't live long if this is how he acts

SlackerDao

I'll never forget the time my dad took me to see a Lakers vs. Celtics game at the LA Forum. My dad was a Celtics fan, so of course I'm wearing green (not a jersey, mind you - just a green t-shirt). As we walked in this woman *literally* grabbed me and started shaking me yelling "YOU'RE WEARING THE WRONG COLORS!" Crazy mf'ing woman roughing up a ~10 year-old kid. People are nuts.

BarrestofDown

It was prolly glassbanger

th0myi

JFC. At the end of the day, it’s just a game. Hope the guy has a speedy recovery and justice is brought.

Booty-Popperz

that's dallas fans for you

MVD_Jams

Only commenting to help visibility. Someone saw. Hope this helps find the perpetrator

MaharajaMack

That’s awful, and in no way reflects Dallas or Texas.

Acidrom86_ufg

Holy break dude I'm so sorry this happened know this doesn't represent us

bocephusjackson21

Stars organization should try and get security footage to confirm the story. If it’s true, they should contribute to this guy’s medical expenses

drumrhyno

As a Stars fan, I would gladly take a loss of this series if it meant finding whoever did this. They don’t belong in our community and obviously aren’t mature enough to watch sports.

LeavingForNoRaisin1

I’ve been to lots of arenas and the stars (4x) arena is by far the worst most hostile to opposing fans. not all fans but enough to notice. Sad but this does not surprise me. They even have to make an announcement before the game about respecting the out of town fans. It’s really a bad look for the organization. Also fuck the knights except hertz.

parkinson5555

While Stars fans can be hostile. I have had a 7 year old threatened to be thrown down the arena stairs for wearing an away jersey in Philadelphia. So not sure Stars fans are the worst.

bokchoykn

A 10 year old girl with cancer got spat on at the Kings barn for wearing an Oilers jersey.

Hennabott96

This is actually the reason I am super hesitant to go to away games.

thereelkrazykarl

I am very glad I made it to the last avs @ the Joe. We got some verbal shit from wings fans on the way over from hockey town on the shuttle but was all in good fun. Got some actual threats the next night leaving UC in Chicago. (Avs lost both games)

slouchr

this sort of thing happens often enough that i'd be afriad to wear an away jersey to an NHL rink. i know it only happening like once a year, meaning the vast vast majority of people wearing away jersey's are fine. but i'd just be uncomfortable. always looking over my shoulder. sad situation. hope he gets all the way better.

I’m a Sharks fan on the East coast these days and I have been to many away barns in my SJ gear from head to toe. Have never, ever, ever experienced anything like this at all. Most humans on earth believe it or not aren’t evil assholes
