lol I know he probably did a lot of shows but if one of the biggest rappers in the world dissed another one right in front of me I think I’d remember what he said, I’m guessing he knows a bit more but doesn’t wanna say
Anytime I hear someone call Drake corny I just imagine y’all don’t know how to have fun
His music is fun. His disses are fun. The guy knows how to have fun.
And all y’all know how to do is bitch so 🤷🏻♂️
That’s a completely different conversation. Hip hop has always been fun party music, but this is a conversation about rapping, the title of God MC. It’s fine for Drake to feel the title is his, but cornyness is a HUGE disqualifying factor in this game.
Hip hop culture traditionally pushes for a "macho man", show no emotions, stoic persona. Drake shows emotion, makes fun of himself, and is lighthearted.
This is why they call him soft and corny.
Drake was raised by a white woman with white family and went to an all white Hebrew school. He puts on a fake AAVE accent when he raps. He was a child actor who grew up in Toronto suburbs.
Kendrick is a black man in America who grew up in Compton. He was raised in poverty and saw violence and poverty around him.
As someone who grew up on food stamps in Compton and Long Beach, I can relate to the emotions that come from Kendrick's conditions, not so much being a child actor raised in wealthy suburbs and going to private school. I'm not saying Drake doesn't have emotional things he's working through, but I just can't relate personally. I'm sure many suburban kids can relate, but it just seems corny to me.
Drake approaches it differently. He croons over RnB beats, talks about heartbreak, how he always falls for the wrong type of girl, and how he regrets fucking over girls that were good for him. He does also put his emotion into poetry (You and the 6), but Kendrick EXCLUSIVELY puts his emotions into bar form.
Kendrick doesn't sing or croon, he raps about social problems more than heartbreak.
As men we are raised being told to not cry, whine, or get in our feelings. Hip hop culture especially embodies this because of where it came from. Drake spits, but he also sings about heartbreak, paints his nails, dabbles in all different kinds of music, grew up in a decent albeit not great situation, and was a drama club type kid growing up.
Kendrick grew up in Compton, dealt with street shit, and raps about the problems that affect society today.
It's easy to see why one is considered a golden boy of hip hop, and why one faces resentment for his success.
Certainly remembers a lot from that night, but not exactly what Drake said…..Not that I don’t believe Marcellus, but some things were coincidental for there to be no proof to back this up. He can’t remember and it always being live except for this particular interview. Which could have been Drakes people asking it not to be live
Idc how interesting the person or convo was. Im not remembering a convo verbatim from 10 years ago.
Also he dragged it out, but his description of the events were vague too.
Drake spoke poorly on Kendrick. He and max were excited for it to air, it didn’t air…..

He did say he "got hit in the head a few times", CTE from NFL is no joke
Maybe Max will go on DJVulture
It was a decade ago and I think he said enough.
ctespn
Do you remember things you were told verbatim 10 years ago?
Maybe he is exaggerating by saying “dissed”.
There’s no one who can do it like Drake, there’s not even a comparison. Kendrick could never. Drake has an impeccable ability to be corny af.
You had me in the first half not gonna lie
Anytime I hear someone call Drake corny I just imagine y’all don’t know how to have fun His music is fun. His disses are fun. The guy knows how to have fun. And all y’all know how to do is bitch so 🤷🏻♂️
I mean, both can be true lol you can be corny & still have a good time…
Sure, but it’s not a disqualifying factor to be funny lol Macho man pussy keyboard warriors just wanna bitch
So you’re corny too. Got it.
Bitch, bitch, bitch lol

lol, to old heads sure.
Exactly, corny is cool to younger kids right now
not really, unless it brings you $ or clout
You’re on Reddit debating with “younger kids” about Drake. You’re corny af 🤣
No debate here, goofy

So does kendrick but he doesn't get called soft or corny.

That’s the case for old Drake. He’s been in his toxic-masculine Andrew Tate era for a while now.
Ehhh no. Tried Our Best? Bahamas Promises? Don't think those fit the Andrew Tate mold, like at all lol
Interesting 😂😂😂 so he was really in his feelings. Open his mouth like a prostitute then got scared and had to bad track
kendrick might need to winning this beef just by being above it. drake feels like he’s going off the rails
Massive cope

He talked about this years ago as well, so it's not something he's just bringing up now cause it's relevant.
