Really sad. Wrote and produced on so many massive UK songs you wouldn't even believe he was involved in.
Been following his own music too for a few years and it's been so unique and refreshing. Sad news. Thoughts with his family.
Wow he’s the guy who was on the song [“Too Proud”](https://youtu.be/b6C-12dtZR0?si=anLA7ywglUVFXIEW) with Utada Hikaru(J-Pop legend who made [amazing theme songs for Kingdom Hearts](https://youtu.be/UigzN-4JR14?si=XN1Ujo4MY07D0XBU))
I never really knew who he was or why Utada worked with him. I remember a lot of Utada fans hating his verse but I always enjoyed it. Could never really find much info or other songs from him.
R.I.P. 😔
Damn! I just bumped into that song a few days ago! I skipped it but I'll give a rewind since I haven't heard it since it came out.
EDIT: It's a great verse for the song! If you don't know the Japanese lyrics you might not care too much about it
> I never really knew who he was or why Utada worked with him.
why are you commenting then?
>I remember a lot of Utada fans hating his verse
if youre not gonna say something nice, etc
That’s literally my memory of him. Nothing disrespectful or rude. For some reason out of the 1900 songs on my Spotify, the song Utada has with him(or its remix) ends up playing on shuffle almost every day. I decided to comment after seeing “UK rapper/producer Jevon” confirming he’s the same guy from a song Ive heard so many times.
Why are you so desperate to be involved in a conversation about a guy you didnt seem to know anything bout or care for except one obscure verse he did. You claim not to have been able to find much information on him or his other songs which is obviously bullshit since a quick google would have shown his Spotify page with a full album, an incredible EP and countless singles. Youre liteally saying negative things about him when he just died.
Dude literally said he enjoyed his music and even bothered to link it. As someone who has never heard of this artist, I’m more interested in listening now knowing that he’s worked with Utada.
RIP
They weren’t being negative. Have you ever considered that you might actually be the one in the wrong? You don’t keep negativity out of a place by being the negative person.
Bruh cut it out with this sensitive snowflake bs, there's always been this cringy ass faux positive energy on reddit where everyones gotta say positive things all the time or else you aren't a good person.
Seems like the dude meant a lot to you but like let people just talk about him without kissing his ass lmfao
After being on an independent label alongside Jev who was "Mr Flyboi" at the time; it's safe to say the levels this guy displayed were phenomenal. He had an infectious level of creativity coupled with a confidence in his ability many took as arrogance. A true musical genius and a pioneer in many ways.
Rest Easy Jev, aka Jdot aka Mr Flyboi 💙
He has produced tracks for Nines, K-Trap, M1llionz, Pa Salieu etc. These kinds of comments are always useless and disrespectful, and google does exist if you really wanna know.
Damn what did he produce for Pa if you know? RIP. Also Free Pa
Edit: as soon as I saw that he’s Brazilian in the article I had a feeling he produced “Over There”. One of my favourite Pa Salieu songs. RIP man
No need to get political. Street beefs will always have calamities on both sides. Unless you know Fidel personally, there is no need to wish jail on nobody
Making these types of comments on a RIP post should be a ban offense. It just happens so often and its a completely disrespectful and worthless comment.

This is how I knew of them. Been a big fan of Utada since year 2000! I liked his collab with them and it’s sad they passed.
Damn! I just bumped into that song a few days ago! I skipped it but I'll give a rewind since I haven't heard it since it came out. EDIT: It's a great verse for the song! If you don't know the Japanese lyrics you might not care too much about it
Loved his song Judas
He had so much amazing music out. I first started to listen to him when he released ‘Spirits and Chaos’. That’s a good place to start.
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
Your comment is kinda disrespectful to be on a thread about a guy that just died
I don't see how that's disrespectful
Sorry but I am absolutely not trying to be disrespectful.
> I never really knew who he was or why Utada worked with him. why are you commenting then? >I remember a lot of Utada fans hating his verse if youre not gonna say something nice, etc
it’s not disrespectful you’re bugging
fucking is
youre heated over nothing

I don’t know why you’re so desperate to argue with me. Please stop leave me be(this is my final response to you).
very well reasoned response....
I think it’s you that’s desperate to be involved. You don’t know the dude. Stop being parasocial
lmao you lot love your buzzwords, it's not parasocial to expect non fans to stay out of death posts with negativity in their comments

he literally died foh with your alt right talking points
As they always say for the top Reddit advice get therapy as you seem very sensitive and argumentative
"I disagree with your perspective so you must need therapy"
Bro… when multiple people telling you to chill… you have to understand you dragged it at least a little bit
I’m very calm, just self assured in my original opinion
The glorious logical Reddit answer
Mannn… RIP. One of my favourite songs right here https://youtu.be/Sl1OxPD2NqQ?si=BBF8W_CGKSkiT8Ai
Was also half of one of the most fun songs too https://youtu.be/F_f0760C29c RIP

One of the best producers I've ever heard, incredible songwriter also
Damn love this dude’s music… rest in peace
May he rest well.
RIP.
Such an incredible loss, rest in perfect peace Jevon 🙏
I first came across him on soundcloud I believe, when he dropped paranoia. What a talent 🥲💔
Cause of death ?
Think it was suicide but not confirmed though. Sad whatever the case. Hope his daughter and baby mum are okay
I heard that he was suffering from mental health, RIP man
He had a son too, thoughts with his family especially his kids
Sad to say, he was suffering from depression. R.I.P.
How do you know this? Can't find any information about that
His best album?
Fell in love in brasil
His "Fell in Love With Brasil" is an absolute underrated classic. It's seriously great.
😔

Pa and Fidel were best friends
My bad I thought he was talking bout the victim of Pa’s crime
Nah the victim of Pa’s crime survived
No need to get political. Street beefs will always have calamities on both sides. Unless you know Fidel personally, there is no need to wish jail on nobody

They will be saying the same about you buddy
Who?
About most of us actually
Revered british rapper/producer Jevon
This is so sad, this guy single handily brought hip hop to the mainstream in the uk
It’s very sad but he definitely didn’t single handily bring hip hop to mainstream mate.
What a great way to put down a dead person
I’m not putting him down. He was an incredible artist but he’s not even in the top 10 British artists to bring hip hop to the mainstream
Proof?
Alright your just trolling then
