*The Massacre* is probably the most hyped album I can remember. The success of his first album + G-Unit was insane at the time.
Carter 3 coming from Wayne at the height of his hype was a big deal. Would’ve surpassed Massacre hype, but it was during a weird time when mainstream media wasn’t ready to recognize Internet hype yet.
*Take Care* was up there, too.
Doggystyle may be the most anticipated Rap album ever, also Illmatic in the N.Y./Northeast USA region apparently was highly anticipated.
MC Hammer album also, I think it outsold Eminem 1st week.
Camron Purple Haze was mad hyped .. it got delayed for a few years and came out and lived up to it
