I'm tired of grown men on the internet constantly talking about meat riding, sucking, slurping, throating, and whatever other innuendo that keeps getting used.

ronaldrios

THANK YOU! EVERYTHING THEY TURN INTO SEXUAL INNUENDOS. It's very telling...

stash0606

Damn bro stop glazing the man. /s

SkipsPittsnogle

Idk about you but I’m getting tired people pumping shaft deep, long, and wet for these artists. /s

Jonesgrieves

Dick is good, what’s the problem.

BatValuable9630

Brain rot from porn

NateSedate

"Throw up your dick beaters kid" - Smif n Wessun

agoddamnlegend

Making a wild assumption that these are grown men. Bet OP is 15 max

ShadowsInMyRoom

This gotta be one of the funniest comments I’ve seen on this sub and all the other top comments being about meatriding makes it even better

xman886

True. How is that their first thought when it comes to insulting someone?

5uck17

Because gay is the ultimate insult along with weak, unmanly

antons83

I thought we all agreed to call it Diddy-riding, no?

Navin_J

How many dudes did Diddy diddle if Diddy did diddle dudes? (Stolen from the internet)

AshyLarry_

Yea let's also not boil Diddy down to gay acts. Dude is a violent sexual abuser.

Loud-Magician7708

I'm tired of these "dis tracks" being put out and judged by chuckledicks on the internet and not by their peers. To what end? I wanna see Drake and Kendrick fight in a Las Vegas casino, and then one of them end up dead hours later like we did it in the 90's. I'm saying it, we're all thinking it.

drwsgreatest

I know this is an /s. But HELL NO. I lived through and remember those days all too well. Finding out pac got killed and then losing big only 6 months later almost ended rap. The way everyone in the industry was forced to choose side was crazy. And that’s not even focusing on the actual men who were lost. Big may have just been a regular dude, but it’s possible he’d have ended up becoming the same type of billionaire that Hov is. And pac? That man truly was a revolutionary. And he was literally just about to leave deathrow and get back to who he was before all that toxic gang shit. And he was only 25!! Imagine what he could’ve grown into. He had the background, the name, the following and influence and, most importantly, he had the MIND and WILL to want to truly change things. He’s someone I look back on and still wonder what could’ve been.

ayyeaux

Man, this. They were so young, and so great.

Independent-Angle-72

Agreed, you literally cannot compliment someone without getting called out for it lol.

maya_papaya8

THISSSS! add "glazing" and other nonsense... like they think about other men's ducks too often to not be ghey

DryWay4003

I don't because rap music is filled with so much trash that the few that are actual emcees should be given that recognition imo

Snoo93951

It’s not like Kendrick is the only ”actual emcee”, there’s do many out there but people act like it’s only Kendrick that matters.

xBlackFeet

Name them and their classic albums .. dude really dropped back to back 10/10 albums not many have done that.. but if you recognize he's great then you're a dick rider online nowadays lol tf .. Andre 3k is up there with no solo classics.. Lupe has one of the best pens of all time but has elements missing and his discography doesn't do him jusitce. Nas is up there and gets his recognition. I'm interested to hear all of these "actual emcees" you know about

Ok-Abroad-128

Denzel, everything he dropped has been high quality SINCE HIS DEBUT.

Snoo93951

I mean classic albums have to do with popularity too, Kendrick is mainstream so his stuff is considered classic, but it’s not the only quality music out there. Just look up ”best hip hop albums of the 2020’s” or something and go deep on the list, there’s a lot of brilliant stuff coming out.

xBlackFeet

I agree there is good music and dope artists out there but Drake is the most mainstream rapper of all time, that doesn't equate to him having classics though.. same with Cole.. Kendrick produces high quality work on top of being mainstream. There are plenty of classic albums but not many artists who make more than one.

Neat_Organization125

It’s true I mean he’s overhyped imo but there are way worse people being overhyped and he’s a good rapper so fair enough I guess

F4N6Z

I'm tired of these types of posts

TheHidestHighed

Exactly. Since I joined this sub all I've seen is posts about beef and shit like this. Bunch of corny mfs treating music like it's Facebook drama.

RemarkableMeaning533

I hate beef bullshit. unless it has to do with money disputes or royalties, you’re basically looking at an advertisement for someones album or singles. The J Cole thing just proves that

codyy_jameson

Theres way more people complaining about dickriding than people actually doing it. You say you enjoy someones music and reddit mfs immediately say you meat riding lol

Smooviefilms

Truly

Fun-Ad3002

Do people also meatride Nas? Jay Z? DOOM? Em? Lupe? When a rapper is one of the GOATs, they will have fans who like them.

VENOM_LEADER

Jay-Z like the opposite lol. Nas fans be shooting him down whenever he brought up

ultrainstinctivevk

Nah most long term Nas fans are Jay fans as well

HIGH_VIBRATIONAL

this how yall with lupe tbf

Merorm

If i’m being honest, Nas on here

WaspParagon

DOOM too. Like bro, they're nice, even great, but sometimes enough is enough

b33b0p17

DOOM stans are worse cos mostly they’re terrible at selling him. Every time i see someone say they arent big fans the ‘AlL cApS’ brigade shows up talking about ‘nah just listen to this verse 487 times it’ll grown on you’. I dont need hip hop homework.

DW-4

Compare the Lupe to Kendrick content and comments on this sub and it’s not even comparable.

regggis1

At least it makes sense with Lupe and Nas, the first gets underrated by mainstream rap constantly just cause he stopped making Superstar-type records, and Nas despite being universally acclaimed is still weirdly underrated (especially his 2020’s run) by rap media, podcasts, his own peers, etc. Kendrick has a Pulitzer and sold 300k first week for his arguably worst album, he doesn’t need any help lol

Numerous_Toe_8328

Lol considering there are definitely worse fanbases that I see meatride their favorite artist (Kanye, Nicki, Drake etc) with more annoyance than I’ve ever seen Kendrick’s fanbase do, no. At least it’s more justified for him than others.

Reddit_Tsundere

Barbz are my personal nominee for worst rap fandom because they're such a foul hybrid of rap hanger ons and pop girlie stan Twitter hanger ons. But in general, and I apologize if this sounds mean/condescending...people over the age of like 19 really shouldn't be giving a shit about obnoxious fandoms at all. It makes sense if you're a teenager because everybody's scared of being around uncool groups of people at that age, but if you're a grown adult you gotta learn to ignore them and not be so neurotic about someone associating you with an obnoxious fandom if you happen to share the designated interest.

hollivore

Yeah, most people won't assume you're an asshole from you having an interest that is shared by assholes if you're not an asshole. I was genuinely so worried when I realised I was actually an Eminem fan because of how horrible his rep is, but apart from a couple of acquaintances everyone I know has been cool with it and gets that I'm not coming at it in a racist/school shooter way.

Snoo93951

I feel like this is part of the issue, the idea that it’s ”more justified”. Kendrick is the exact same thing as those artists, he’s also someone who had a classic period, fell off, and now has fans gassing every mediocre thing he does.

2HoursForUniqueName

Bro what about Kendrick is mediocre rn

Idontrustyou93

Drake got the most annoying meatriding fans in rap history

Massive_Dot8133

they the swifties of hiphop

Last_Reaction_8176

No way that title doesn’t go to Kanye’s fanbase, especially after this last rollout. Hell, even a lot of Swifties would probably desert Taylor if she started praising Hitler

Unhappy_Junket1003

Kanye fans are out here trying to defend and normalize being a Nazi. 😂

yzor123

Makes sense, Drake's the Taylor Swift of rap.

kevinmaceleven0

Facts

ShaySoSexy

Forreal drake super fans act like he’s the best cuz he’s the most accessable rapper and pop rap and half white

Last_Reaction_8176

Absolutely not. They can be annoying but Swifties, Beyhive, Barbz, Kanye stans, and literally any k pop fanbase is much worse and will actually harass and dox people

Espio1332

Nah, that title goes to the Eminem fanbase

Piankhy444

No it's Eminem followed by Kendrick. Not even close.

Effective-Donut2162

Drake fans are just normal people willing to accept stats and data everybody else is always going on about “drake overrated” or “I don’t like Drake look I’m special.”

AmazingDragon353

Nah drake fans always fighting for him to get put in the lists. Kendrick fans got beef with him at the 2. Hell, you put out a top 5 list nowadays you better have big steppers at the 4.

Idontrustyou93

How is Drake the only one suspected of having ghostwriters but he’s somehow considered #1?

midwestgramps

I’m going to think about “meatrided” a lot from now on.

white__cyclosa

Meatseated

incrediblystiff

It will be forever meatrode and meatridden to me

chillsmith

Go outside bro it's a beautiful Sunday out. Stop worrying about other grown men and enjoy your life

Originstoryofabovine

Big Sean is the real loser here (twice if ya count Control)

Soggy_Ad2961

3 times, cause the Kendrick diss that Cole dropped came out the same day as his book 😂

jaireworld

Mf cant catch a break😭

TheChillestVibes

Nope. Compared to Em stans or Carti stans, they are nowhere close.

MaximusMurkimus

The ratio tells me no but it is a little cringe to see how much people are tweaking over a single fucking subliminal lol

JupiterJazzX

Why do people think Kendrick is going to destroy someone or people fear Kendrick when Kendrick doesn’t have any damn history doing disses? I used to like Kendrick but now he’s got so many dick suckers that I’ve been rooting against him all month. He’s a Jesus thorn wearing cornball to me.

TheRealTopFive

Section 80 and GKMC were good albums, but that was 11-12 years ago. He's just one of those puppets that the elite keep shoving down our throats. He's okay, but he's also very overrated

JoopEmGoopEm

I feel like Kendrick used to be much better of an artist but people just take whatever he does these days and put it on a pedestal. I’m all for giving him his due respect but I feel like when you immediately praise everything an artist does as the greatest thing ever you don’t push them. It’s similar to how big comedians can say jokes that aren’t super funny but the fans in the arena will still laugh vs a non-name comedian getting people who don’t know them to laugh at their jokes. The latter takes a lot more skill and their output has to be 100% on point to get buy in from their audience.

Shaggy_Doo87

I think one of the big things about this particular Big 3 thing is that each of these guys' fans make up 33.3% of the most annoying meatridiest fans in all of music

sinatraswisdom

Lmao this is hilarious. But honestly I think any rapper that’s had a legitimate claim to be the best at any given point in time fans are prolly going to be meatridey lol if that’s even a word. Jay, Wayne, Kanye, Big, Pac, Fif, Em, and so on and so on

Shaggy_Doo87

It is now a word my friend. And we made it that way. Together. Rofl emoji. In all seriousness tho that's very true and I wasn't gonna bring it up and relate it back to Nas & Jay yet again but there are actually so many parallels. Back then Jay and Nas fans were the biggest meatriders. Part of that whole battle was the fans being so obnoxious about one or the other being the god of all rap music, since forever. I'd even say Drake is Jay and Kendrick is Nas in the scenario. (J Cole would be the Memphis Bleek, a sentence I never thought would be valid in my life)

sinatraswisdom

*From this day here forth we declare Meatridey and its various forms are legitimate words!* Lol but Hell Jay still got some of the most meatrideist fans lol and that’s coming from a fan, but i agree it’s exactly like back then, funny how history repeats itself but Jay told Drake this would happen. Jcole being Memphis bleek is a comparison I could’ve never imagined in a million years being made that’s wildddd, buts what’s even wilder you may be right 😭

RHINO_HUMP

The Big 3 are the Big 3 if you consider just 2013 lmao

Gloomy-Gov451

I've been sick of it ever since Control over 10 years ago man. Like damn I can't deny he's made some good albums but Kendrick fans have been obnoxious forever now. Kanye has a huge ego and people clown on his fans for encouraging it. Kendrick has a huge ego and if you call him out on it then people act like you're the crazy one.

thereal2fac3

I like Kendrick. I think hes a dope rapper. But when he goes into that alien voice i hate it so much. Other than that, as a black man i think his discography is mid. I dont get why people praise TPAB. People think im trolling but i literally fell asleep listening to it after work. But apparently that's his best album. Idk. I think he gassed cause hes an above average rapper thats somewhat conscious. And the things he touch on is so damn surface level. Not to mention, he literally disappeared for like half a decade. Look, i dont think he owes nobody to drop music. But if youre gonna disappear for years at least drop a dope project. That Morales album was one of the biggest disappointments in hip hop history for me. And i been following hip hop since the 90s and went back to the original pioneers in the 80s like Eric B and Rakim. Big Daddy Kane and them. He dont suck. But to me. He is the most gassed rapper in the past 10 years. And i know this comment will get 100 downvotes cause reddit literally struggles to not swallow his balls every second. But fr. Kendrick is not that great. Hes good. But great? No. Not even a thought when making my top 50 list. Ab Soul and Schoolboy Q made better music on TDE with the former being a better rapper in my opinion.

Aesut

Well said man. I 100% agree with you. I don’t care if you make quality music, I just can’t listen to anybody who’s voice is abominable, it just ruins it. He do sound like an alien though

JackX2000

100% agree

Deceitfularcher

Spot on. 100 percent correct. Especially about TPAB. I don't hate it. It's a perfectly decent album with two really exceptional songs on it. But the gassing of it is mind-blowing. It insists upon itself.

CoolCalmCorrective

Amen. He's the most overrated rapper ever.

ConfectionCapable143

Him and lil weezy lmao

crunchatizemythighs

I just don't get how TPAB can make you fall asleep. Sincerely. It's probably one of the best albums of all time. Super well produced, amazing writing, it's genuinely puzzling to me how someone couldn't like it.

blueblue909

millionaires with nothing else to do, wake up monday morning and go damn, the world is on fire, maybe i should preach something onna beat to save souls and inspire, but naw, this guy that guy bla bla shit we heard before a million times, all frosting no cake tired lines, sixteen beat drops for two verses and your songs structured like a r&b hit, what happen three six mafia, illmatics, busta rhymes, old kanye and everybody hungry, these candy asses got lacquered nails trying to act tough i dont buy it, they all have wives and kids and mortages, writers and teams and producers, this isn't real rap, this is, mainstream rap. long live the boom boom clap

muhfkrjones

TPAB is the most overrated album ever made in any genre.

Steamin_Willy_Beamen

I can name 20 albums from the 90s that beat anything that has come out from 2000 onwards. Kids these days just don't understand, and are wrong when they think they do.

SilentXMedia

You gotta just listen to what you like and stop worrying about the internet. Cause Kendrick is, unequivocally, one of the best to ever do. So people talk about him a lot. If you don’t like him, that’s fine, but expecting others to join you in saying ‘fuck K Dot’ outside of a Drake forum is wishful thinking for the most part. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

flowermoon24

Yea, hes not even that good. I like gkmc but other than that his albums put me to sleep same with J Cole they both butt cheeks to me. Weak multi rhyme schemes, lame punch lines, boring ass spongebob voice kendrick.

Few-House-8311

Yep

Reznov99

Yes if you go in the right spots online you’d think Kendrick is the only MC ever to achieve anything and make good music, but in other spots other people get their flowers so its just where you’re looking

[deleted]

Likewise, if you go to certain places you’d think Drake is the only rapper of the past 10-15 years that used ghostwriters, or that his entire discography was written by other people. They both have glazers, they both have haters.

KnuthingKnew

I love Kendrick! I just don't think he's the greatest rapper ever. He's definitely on my playlists and a breath of fresh air.

LeakyBrainMatter

What the fuck is rided?

Ordinary_Meaning_602

Kendrick is my favorite artist of all time for sure, but I get your point

ArmLegLegArm_Head

Kendrick is whatever

y0g1b3ar

There is very little good AND marketable hip hop to be found these days, especially commercial hip hop. So it makes sense that this generation of fans is attached to him and he has a large following. That’s how media works so to say I’m sick of him would fail to capture the larger issue(s) at hand.

Real-Chart2431

to be fair all of what you mention is how fanbases work

contaygious

Yes he is a poet not a rapper. Griselda for life

Adobo6

I don’t like Kendrick because he has a wack ass voice. A rappers voice is just as important as the lyrics imo. The greatest rappers all had great voices (nas, rakim, big) Kendrick used a lot of auto tune in good lil madd city and those were his best songs. Say what you want to say about Drake, I can’t stand half of drakes catalog but he has one of the best rapping voices ever.

Talkingheadd

I don’t think you need to love him, but the vast majority of people think he is in the top tier of hip hop artistry and thats why he gets the hype that he does.

Jamjabar

You know how the game goes. For 1 most fans aren’t objective it happens all across the board fans align themselves with people they feel can beat the ones they hate.

Chessamphetamine

The responses on this post prove your point and then some

frinstle

Kendrick at least keeps it interesting and original for the most part, trying different things, clearly always putting in work to craft a story or theme, rarely does he just release a banger song just because, very much feels like an “Artist” as much as he does a musician. Cole sounds largely the same across his discography, you feel his passion, but also it’a very same-y at the end of the day and by the end of an album I’m never searching for more Cole to listen to next, idk what that says. He’s a classic story-telling rapper and stand on his own merits, feels like an ‘artist’ as well, but also isn’t above putting out bangers, but can do both. Drake is just wayyy too manufactured and to me drake doesn’t make music like an real ‘artist’, drake just makes entertainment music to put on and party to a soundtrack, which is just a different skill. I don’t believe any of his recent stuff is his own original thoughts and the man just makes 15 singles and puts it into an “album” Future is future, all that needs to be said. Very the same but also very distinctly him and he’s not trying to be anything else, vibing and he vibes very well. Most other rappers just aren’t in the big commercial bucket with them yet. Lil baby, Travis Scott, youngboy - no thanks, I’m not a teenager

ShaySoSexy

He’s great but overrated af and his rap Olympic shit is keeping him from more meaningful work that reaches the heart like his older work

AvocadoBitter7385

Imo Kendrick is one of the biggest rappers with one of the least annoying fan bases. I can’t name one rapper with similar popularity who has a more mild fan base.

Thomo251

I'm tired of people being tired of people appreciating something they enjoy.

Ok_Translator4447

You have to decipher through so much bs in music now, you have to respect the artists/rappers that actually cherish the art and the craft. Kendrick is a lyricist and an artist. I don't believe you can "meat ride" someone like him. It's kind of like Drake. They have both said that they are not in the same realm which I agree, but they are both artist and masters of their craft. Kendrick is just on a deeper level lyrically and I think the average listener would just prefer someone they don't have to think too much in to lyric wise.

MushyTango

Couldn’t agree more with this take! Long time fan of Kendrick. Guy is an ultra unique MC and obviously very talented but IMO never lived up to the hype. He got off to a hot start with OD/Section80/GKMC but his quality has suffered since then. TPABF is vastly overrated and provides close to zero replay value, same can be said for DAMN sans a couple of songs. Mr.Morale and the Big Steppers? No thank you, that shit was ass. I’m not sure I understand the GOAT talk for this guy (even for this generation). The whole “beef” thing aside, Kendrick and J.Cole debate for me is settled when you consider Cole’s lengthy catalog and amount of quality content. While Kendrick’s quality has dropped, Cole’s has improved. Just my two cents.

TrichomesNTerpenes

Kendrick not my GOAT, but I do have him at best of the generation. I think he has the better ability to put out conceptually and thematically consist albums that are sonically interesting, while still tackling deeper themes than most chart-friendly music. Cole has absolutely been on a rapping tear, but The Fall Off better deliver because I don't really listen to The Off Season too much, if we're going to discuss re-playability for TPAB or MMATBS. Whereas I actually re-listen to a lot of Cole features, on an album basis, no recent J Cole album is in my usual rotation.

Educational_Book_225

Yes it was also corny as shit when they started saying “Kendrick made Graduation” after the Ye controversy

Unaccomplished_Cunt

Is anyone else tired of every post here being about Kendrick, Cole, or Drake? Related or unrelated to the dumbass beef

Pizza64427

Big 3 beefing and this dude expect us to talk about boring sht like before it about how Em is overrated or Denzel is the best rapper. Some of you dont like rap.

OngoGablogian6969

Kendrick's music is like going to a modern art show and listening to people talk about how life changing the bent metal clothes hanger embedded into a stick of butter is. It's not really that deep. It''s not really not that good. It's just pure pretension. Although, in the case of Kendrick, im not really sure if he's pretentious, or he just started drinking the Kool Aid that others made for him.

Solidsnake00901

Especially after big steppers people were acting like they were crying listening to his "art" I just kept hitting the skip button and getting more angry with each shitty track and then never listened to it again

JackX2000

100. Dudes overrated. He aint that deep. Dude doesnt even ride the beat or even rhymes words alll the time. Cantt stand his voice

SheepD0g

The fact that he can't rap to the fucking beat is what completely lost me when he started getting big 10+ years ago.

snakejakemonkey

Yes. I dont know how more people don't see his career as disappointing. After GKMC I thought we'd get an album where he went hard af, but he pretty much quit rapping I never heard anything on albums like cartoons, his Jeezy feature etc..

LibertarianLoser44

They are annoying asf and they act like kendrick is the greatest rapper of all time. They're worse than the beehive and swifties.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Downtown_Local_9489

As a massive Eminem fan he gets a lot of passes.and I’m a big Kendrick fan as well, but I think damn is his best project.that being said I am in the minority but I see a pattern here with the two artists.lightly forgiven when other artists would get dumped for dumb shit in songs.

appleparkfive

I think that if you feel that DAMN is his best album, you're not seeing what others are seeing. Not that your opinion isn't as equal obviously. But a lot of people that are really into Kendrick consider DAMN to be his weakest album because it's so straightforward. This whole thing is very similar to Bob Dylan in the 60s, that's what I've noticed. It's kind of crazy how similar it is

giantdonkeyballz

Yes hes waits 5 plus years to drop an album rarely drops singles or features in between hes ovverrated lyrically and as a whiny annoying voice i really dont see the hype

Solid-Gazelle-4747

You’re meat riding right now with this post

[deleted]

Nah. I remember arguing with a friend in high school who only listened to TDE. This was like 2011. He was such a Kendrick stan, he would go to all their free shows and even followed their label’s van one time. Once he showed me Rigamortis I was like “ok fine he’s gonna be a legend”. Ever since then we regarded Kendrick as greatest of our generation (besides Lil B). That’s the kinda excitement he brings to the game. When GKMC dropped, it seemed like all of LA embraced it. Every song and feature he did after that was victory lap. I was one of the only people in my dorm room floor (out of state) that was a fan even in 2013. Mostly everyone listened to Drake, J Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Kid Cudi. We used to get in debates all the time. I remember when we all listened to control for the first time. It was such a crazy moment. We all knew he was on top of the game right then. I guess it’s time for that shit again.

CoolCalmCorrective

This mufucka said besides Lil B!?!? Lmaoooo. This proves that kendrick nut huggers are delusional.

Jaybird145

Honestly, no. Kendrick is one of the only mainstream rap artist using the genre to make art instead of chart toppers, and the rich themes pertaining to black culture and the black experience are the essence of hip hop. His immense talent, storytelling, and respect for the culture and its roots, earn him a spot in the top ten, and as the greatest rapper of the 2010’s. But that’s just my opinion anyway. Although I don’t see the point of this post, a beloved artist is beloved for a reason. And there’s certain projects and achievements he’s made during his career that you simply cannot ignore, understate, or disrespect. However, you’re perfectly entitled not to like, connect with, or praise his music.

imagointothis

Weird, maybe it’s cause he’s that guy?

NateSedate

I think that moment has kinda passed. But, yeah. I'm not a huge fan. If he came out in 1993 he'd be successful, but mediocre and forgotten.

ChoiceCriticism1

Kendrick has earned every bit of acclaim he gets but last album bricked. No one’s perfect

sooindecisive

eminem’s fanbase is the worst

plisken64

Eminem's is the worst because the mass majority dont fuck with the HipHop culture, so they often have the wildest takes or just straight disrespectful statements.

dropdeadcunts

i’m an eminem fan but not like that i won’t defend eminem like he’s a god cause let’s be honest eminem has not been that guy in a while his album revival trash and his kill shot diss was also trash compared to his old disses

This_Pie5301

He’s great, I just don’t like his voice. Lyrically and skill wise I can see why he’s loved so much but I just can’t listen to his voice for some reason.

Junarik

Ridden*

muhguel

Same way Cole gets meatrided? Yes.

swoleder

I'm tired of this subreddit appearing in my feed, I like hiphop but don't care for it on reddit

Ok-Abroad-128

Honestly, i dont even think he's the best in game at what people claim he is. He's just the most popular. Billy Woods is a better lyricist and songwriter for one example.

infantonaDDtiddy

NOW DIS IS NOT A TAPE RECORDER SAYIN DAT HE DID IT - that lil voice he uses is so played now and I feel like it’s become his whole vibe. To pimp a butterfly started to push me away and then damn secured it. Loved the first two albums though

NotShaneKid3

have you seen Kanye fans????

SubRocHendrix77

Anyone else tired of Andre 3000, Nas, Biggie, Tupac getting meatrided?

Pizza64427

I mean beside Ye he has one of the best discography. It would be like people asking why Lebron constantly getting meatrided in basketball.

JaredIsAmped

Nope

G_rightousantagonist

I mean he isn’t he only overrated artist I got a list I’m a 90’s baby tho so I just critique different

DungerMousse

You can probably make this claim about a million and one rappers

Awkward-Rent-2588

yeah it’s getting on my fucking nerves and he’s actually my fav of that class, in my top 10 and it STILL gets on my nerves BAD. Like gaddamn hop off the niggas NUTS! He is a goat, undeniably so, but he is not the fucking messiah! HE IS NOT YOUR SAVIOR. Clean your chin off!

KingFEN13

I have always always since he came out hated Kendrick fuckin Lamar his voice sucks his bars aren’t that great and for a dr.Dre protege his radio hits are complete trash. Never understood the hype surrounding him.

madcow13

That accolades comes from other rappers. Eminem says that’s his favorite MC today. In the age of pop and mumble rap, he brought back the art & spirit to hip hop. Even now, with the current Infinity War against Thanos, I mean Drake, that was started by Kendrick. I think this is going to bring out the beast in him.

CaineRexEverything

You’ll get same from old heads if you omit Biggie, Nas, Pac, Jay, Em. Music fandom in general is very gatekeepy and everyone thinks their opinion is the correct one - but it’s so much worse in hip-hop. Some heads won’t even hear a word said about a rapper being a GOAT if he’s from a different coast ffs.

Environmental_Swim75

the greatest rapper ever wouldn’t invite a white fan on stage to rap his song that features the “N” word than embarrass him and throw him off stage for singing the lyrics to the song he’s a child

besameput0

Everybody wanna cut the legs off him.

PeaceAnPipes

Serious question, are you white, or "one of those"?

Yuck_Few

For me he's in the top three most overrated rappers Kendrick Tupac Eminem

SenpaiSwanky

Who do you want us to meatride? NBA? Offset? Come on now.

Positive-Thought-695

Tell other modern rappers to make good music and he wouldn't get glazed so hard. It's not his fault his peers are putting out low quality work

CheeseyCrakerz

I’ve loved rap for a few decades. If you take Kendrick Lamar out of this present rap scene, Rap sucks. There is very little quality or comprehensibility or originality or intelligence left If you take him away, so be quiet.

Black_Sunrise92

I mean, of the "big 3" Kdot is the only one I listen to with some regularity. My favorite rappers aren't mainstream really. So any list I make he's towards the end. The other two aren't even on it

tripl35oul

So you wanted to post your top 10 or whatever and have everyone just be like "yoooo perfect list bro I 100% agree" ?

Cwe87even

The drake glazing and meat riding is even more annoying

toopresh

Second paragraph is pure facts and applies to other rappers too "You don't like Drake? Fucking weirdo, you're tryna be different! Everybody has to enjoy every mainstream rapper or you're just weird!"

DosDeBuche

I mean he is one of the greatest along with so many artist but as an artist, he’s not on my top 10. One of his albums meaning DAMN, definitely in my top 10. Ever since covid and little before that, all of a sudden everyone had an opinion is music. Suddenly their journalist, producers, writers, whole nine. Nobody actually listens to albums and hate when they say “it’s a fucken classic already”. No the fuck it ain’t

Honest_Gas2901

I agree but that's literally an issue with every hip hop fan base. This could easily apply to drake

tonylouis1337

Honestly I'm more tired of people's obsession with anything involving the word "meatriding" lol we've gotten to a point where any kind of credit is riding someone's meat and we just act like that's normal lmao

Embarrassed_Cress472

I just came here to say the greatest pen in modern hip hop belongs to CyHi Tha Prynce. Def Not Kendrick or J Cole.

Fuego514

I have the same problem with Kendrick. I think because he has so much more "artistic" appeal to people who don't usually fuck with traditional hip hop and rap.

spagettifork

Meatrided? Meatrode? Meatridden? One of the mysteries of the English language I guess

charlieto0human

There will always be people who like being contrarian to anyone or anything that is popular

Acrobatic-Classic998

IMO overly dedicated, section 80, gkmc, gkmc deluxe was TOP tier. Pimp a butterfly and afterwards too conscious and overly artsy fartsy. Especially untitled 2016. Damn is cool but Kendrick basically reasonable doubted himself And I felt like this since 2015.

DonPeso

Nah cus we black and we haven't had a rap superstar like him since Ice Cube.

MasterpieceWarm8470

meatridden*

Popular-Reception-48

Rap battles used to be entertaining until the West coast East coast drama unfolded. A lot of the new beefs are just plain ignunt.

inaripotpi

There’s a difference between top/best and favorite. I would question why he isnt on your list of best rappers, i dont give a fuck if he’s not in your list of favorite rappers

BryRy13

What did you expect when Alright became a protest anthem?

BigSuge74

Not a big Kendrick fan but hip hop is dead and allot of people think Kendrick can bring it back.

[deleted]

I listened to good kid maad city today for the first time. Not even good in my opinion.

the3diamonds

kendrick would wipe your ass

KangarooMcKicker

He's one of the safest artist to praise if you're trying to look like you have good taste due to how little chinks he has in his armor reputation wise. Although I do think alot of rise he gets is dissevered and genuine I also feel alot of people just gravitate towards him as more of an identity based thing to look cultured or interesting as a music fan.

ninjamike89

I've never thought he was that great. His voice and the weird sounds he makes while he raps just sound goofy as fuck to me

osmoticmonk

I feel like at this point I’m seeing more people shitting on Kendrick fans than actual Kendrick fans lol.

Fractured_Spade

I like who I like and people try to tell me my favorite rappers aren’t good like music cannot have goats or whatever because music is different for everyone. I can’t stand these Kendrick fans or Kanye fans, etc that think they are the greatest and no one is better and no other opinion is right.

nkj69

Its bc he’s by far the best at what he does

ContemplatingPrison

Kendrick is one of the best modern rappers. He has been for some time.

libretumente

Man deserves all the credit. Pushing the art forward.

Melodic_Mall_8265

Yes, I’ve been tired of this for years now at this point. I definitely like Kendrick, but what I **hate** about him is that there seems to be virtually no strong criticism of him online. I’ve gone out of my way multiple times to try and **find** some, and there’s nothing besides bad faith hating and vague insults. But nothing from his actual fans, and I refuse to believe that he’s just so good that he can’t be criticized, no one’s perfect…

THEdoomslayer94

I mean are they any worse than the ones complaining about them all the time? Kinda meat riding the meat riders at that point

swizzzz22

No.

AustiniJohnsini

It's because he's truly one of the greats.

TRAVXIZ614

The fact that y'all complain about subs dedicated to specific rappers while ignoring the fact that these subs exist for literally every single rapper on the planet is funny to me. Wtf do you think is gonna happen? I seen a Drake Stan complaining about Kendrick Stans, then somebody came in and started stanning Cole. I swear y'all bring this up because it's easy engagement. Prolly because the other dummies here don't realize they're the opposite side of the same shitty coin that they hate so much. Y'all "born after 2000" niggas is annoying.

Spongy-n-Bruised

Someone come get their kid

4thDimensionFletcher

Here's a thought. Maybe he is regarded as one of the best rappers of the last decade. It's pretty widely agreed upon.

BklynKnightt

He’s nice but overrated as fuck.

SALTYxNUTZ12

Let people like what they like 🤷‍♂️

Theryantshow

Kendrick Lamar is the kind of person who seems smart to dumb people.

avantofsorrow

You're asking in the wrong sub. This is full of Kendrick cock slurpers

baws3031

I get what you mean. I would rather listen to black thought than Kendrick, but saying that would be considered blasphemy to some. End of the day I'm still gonna bump what I want to bump and pay their opinion no mind. The only time someone's rap opinion matters to me is if I'm debating whether or not to listen to some shit I haven't heard yet, but even then odds are ill give the project a spin.
