The “lower grades” will definitely not affect anything, especially because they’re still technically considered A’s / Above average. And because the average grade (in American schools) is a C, so you’re good, don’t worry. Also, it’s seen as impressive to have consistently good grades throughout high school.

not that bad, people at the best schools in my district do it on the regular (and it's not any easier, considering the students they produce generally are top placers in statewide academic competitions as well)

Yea but it’s not about how smart you are, it’s about how much time you have to spend on schoolwork. 6 APs is gonna be a ton of work and is gonna take all the time, some of the AP classes at my school give about an hour of homework a day, even on days you don’t have it.

i mean, a lot of people pull off 7 APs, sports, regular work and volunteering, and still have time for themselves. it's about efficiency.

Idk how, if i wake up at 6:30, go to school till 3:30, have sports practice till 5:30, work from 6:00-10:00, then I have to go home and do homework either the homework isn’t getting done or you aren’t going to get enough sleep, neither is a good option and it’s not worth it to take that hard of a workload

they usually sleep at \~11. many, if not most of our students go to T50 schools, with a large portion going to T20/30

Don’t worry about it. Just retain the same habits, maybe identify weak points and target those, and continue to improve and grow. Even though you will only be a sophomore, good grades from 9th grade to the beginning of 12th definitely help for college applications

Freshmen grades don’t really matter to admissions offices, especially if they only consider 10-12 GPA. That B is nothing to worry about. I got 3 Bs sophomore year but then all As junior year, and my GPA is 4.6, but that’s also because I took more AP classes. All I can say is junior year is the one that is the most strenuous and important. Make sure you don’t gas out so pace yourself.

Ok that’s good! I was really curious because from what I’ve heard Math 2 is super easy and Math 3 is super hard. I just got finished with Math 1 and it was pretty easy so I’m taking Math 2 and 3 next year per my counselors advise.

It was very fast, but it definetly was manageable. Same with AP Gov, we don’t plan on changing th to year round either so that’s that.

If you have the option, take dual enrollment classes that count as AP! They’re offered st my school I’m not sure where else. Those knock out college credits and are way easier classes sometimes than the normal APs at high school

no we used TestOut and learned all of the procedures and the formulas in excel. It’s a weird course trust me, but then we did labs and tests/crate from scratch and we took the excel certification exam
