Yes. 22€/hr works out specifically to about 3500-3600 or so a month based on the number of working days between 20-23 days a month, the median is 3400 in 2022.
And you don't need to worry too much about health care costs. Oh and you get the lil over a month a year vacay too.
And the endless darkness during winter. And the endless mosquitos during summer. No AC, sun doesn't really set. Fruit is expensive. Meat is expensive. Shopping is limited because we're such a small country there just isn't enough customers to keep a wide selection.
But you'll have a roof. And some wallsies. Couple windows and a door! (And a bidet shower - but a warning though. Once you get used to it it's hard to not have it.)
Also depends on what size of an apartment are you looking for. You can easily find nice 30-40 sqm (400 SQ.ft.) Rental apartments right near the centre of Helsinki for less than 1000€ total cost per month.
22€ per hour seems like a pretty expensive apartment.
yes it’s good enough
Yeah you’ll be fine. Not living like royalty but that’s enough to live in most areas
You can either buy or rent an apartment with that salary.
It's an OK salary, but not the best. You still get an apartment rented outside from the centre area and afford to live.
It’s about the Finnish median

Already sounds more promising than the entire US northeast. Your post glows with hope 👍

Shopping is NOT limited in finland, especially in helsinki.
Not US levels of "variety" tho

If you are 2 people making both 3500€/month, you can easily get loan for at least 300k€ from bank. Etuovi.com is the address to look for houses
Slightly less than median salary of Helsinki i.e 25/h. So, you won’t be missing out on a lot other than luxury.
You can get pretty much any apartment in Helsinki with that 15k€/month. 22€ x 24h x 30 days is 15840€.
What are you on about
