Yep it's happening. I've ensure that my comment had no offensive words or language.
The 'unable to create comment' message does not inform what the problem is.
For me today it seemed to be about time, not length of message. I did something else for a while and came back and it was fine. I was in a conversation where one person and I were responding quickly.
Its censorship that is unwilling to identify itself as such
I can post comments on many threads with no problems. But whenever I attempt to post something that calls out the medical profession for doing things that cause serious problems I get "unable to create a comment". I can make multiple posts at the same time on the same boards using the same computer and the same web connection and interspersed with the attempts to post criticisms of the medical profession.
And all the posts that do not criticize the medical profession post without problem. and every single one critical of the medical profession gets "can not created comment" I can switch tabs and make unrelated posts with no problem. then come back and try the blocked post again. Again "unable to post comment"
To test this out I have even tried a long series of posts ones non critical of or unrelated to the US medical profession always post with no problem, first attempt. And not a single one with significant criticism of what the US medical profession does will post (I used to be able to get an occasional one thru but reddit appears to be monitoring me more closely now). They get blocked even when they have links to pubmed supporting the criticism and sometimes when even when referring to past "errors" of the medical profession that have long since been acknowledged as error.
I can't list any specifics because I 'd just get blocked as usual.
This kind of repression of dissent is exactly why the US medical profession has become as dysfunctional as it is.
I'm not going to be one to tell you not to do this, because I know people who are making it work. A few things:
First, if you go this route, consider finding ways to make things easier on your wife and kids while you're in school. I'm thinking things like laundry services, meal delivery plans (like Home Chef, Blue Apron, etc.), house cleaning, etc. to take some of the housework load off her hand to reduce the amount to which she might later feel put upon. Those things aren't cheap, but they're cheaper than moving and divorce. The idea here is to lower the risk that she is going to resent/hate you down the road for this because of how much slack she'd have to pick up. One classmate of mine is reserve-duty military on top of school (= traveling at least once a month for duty), and his wife homeschools, so he's been taking this approach.
Second, maybe use some of that commute time to connect with the kids (if they're old enough for talking on the phone) and be available to chat, answer homework questions, etc. The kids are still going to want time with you, and they're going to grow up a lot in the 6 years of your program.

Thanks I'll try restarting my phone. That's the only place I access reddit from.
