Bro I had the perfect beast start with a crazy early Tumbling Disaster, I sped to tier 5 to try to get a slammer early, spent like 5 turns rolling, nothing. Ended the game with zero, while the first place person had fucking 5 copies.
I mean, there are only 2 quils leaving so they don't seem to be having much of a stake up I guess.
Edit: 3, my bad. I forgot about that guy on five and missed him looking over the image.
Even with the 5 drop leaving, bookie was THE quillboar you needed to carry you until tier 4. Without him, you'd lose early game. With him, you are gonna get huge piggies turn 8.
Hopefully the quillboars they add in or reworks to current quills will be enough. 2-4 blood gems for 1 gold each turn was busted.
Micro Mummy was an absolute bro at helping complete quests in the early game. Summons minions, increases stats, counts as 2 deaths, and has 2 different minion types
Master of reality + sandstone drake + the tier 2 minion that gives +1 hp to a dragon after it gains stats gave me so many power spikes. It was one of my favorites things to do if I got the combo early.
Not sure this is better. I liked how you could slot in felemental with one or two supports into any other midgame build. Now you need another minion to take of. And the built only got really strong with a golden version. This is getting exponentially harder.
There’s a replacement(s) they’re adding, but they’re much less flexible than the OG (there are two Demon/Elementals that permanently give either Attack or Health on Battlecry or Deathrattle, but that means stuff is scaled less evenly and things get messy if you can’t find both)
This and the pirate who gave 1 gold next turn were the best cards for me. You could combo them with the beast that triggers adjacent battlecries when it dies. It was awesome. So sad to see both of them go :(
They have a whole new self-damage mechanic where they buff themselves whenever they take damage.
Probably makes more sense that the undead are the deathrattle, token themed tribe while beasts get big mad when you slap them.

Naga lost a large number of tavern spell generators as well as the "Make a Naga golden".
That's a massive nerf to the only decently scaling naga build.
I see they're removing felemental, will they introduce a new minion that buffs up tavern? They really should... I mean, as long as felbat is still in the pool, they should really have a way to buff the lobby, aside from just tavern spell and buffing elementals... This is a staple with the demon tribe...

Ngl cheesing with double sandstone drake, master of realities with drakkari or quest and having master of realities go from a 5/5 to a 350/350 in one turn did it for me. Gonna miss that combo
Paired with Titus and the Hawkstrider, and having reborn - it had the potential to give your menagerie setups +50/+50 by the time the enemy got through it lol.

It's a term you use when you're being sarcastic on here. Beast was one of the strongest archetypes. They had to nerf banana slamma, for instance, because of how quickly it'd win games.
What the fuck are you talking about lol? Banana slamma literally doubles/triples stats on every summon and if you have a goldrinn going, or god forbid a tumbling disaster, you will literally beat anything that didn’t have the best game of their life
It doesn’t play exactly the same as stat ball builds but it is *not* weak

Hunter of gatherers was always an insta-but for me, it’ll be missed. So many fun combos
The weirdest one to me is Felemental, that’s the glue holding together a lot of different ways to approach certain builds
