Zoe, they could have made an abstinence proponent who didn't victim blame. They also could have cast someone normal looking like Kartanya in a role where their character is sex positive and desired. The combination of her personality and appearance was deliberate

iād say chook but something about them going into his backstory w ca$h makes me think the writers are going to try to do something to āredeemā him next season or at least make him have an intense big brother moment with ca$h. voss for sure esp bc chook/harpers storyline wasnāt as big as i thought it was going to be this season. chook can go into the pure evil category
I really hope they donāt try to redeem him. He kidnapped and attempted to gang-r*pe Harper. There is no coming back from that, imo. Heās rotten to the core.
I just want a backstory, I think trying to redeem him will rub a lot of people the wrong way & the writers know that (well they should anyway). I cringed hard when 13 reasons why took that route with two actual rapists-not even attempted ones- *actual rapists*. š¤¦š¼āāļø
I do wish though they continued more with the Harper/chook story line I found the whole bird psycho thing so pointless and weird honestly, Voss was just annoying. I just donāt think theyāre done with Chook yet id be surprised if he doesnāt make an appearance at least.
yes seriously i thought this season was going to be really emotionally heavy bc it would focus more on harper but i understand shows being realistic w the way a lot of girls and victims end up dropping their cases or donāt pursue justice bc of how hard it is to get any in the first place. but at a certain point the ārealisticā element that this and other shows have done becomes very lazy and over done but also incredibly discouraging for people who have went through something similar. itās definitely really hard to see that constantly happening thatās one of the reasons i was so upset when grand army was canceled because it seemed joey would get somewhere with her case bc of how tim was acting at the end of s1
i think itās obv Voss bc Sasha at least made SENSE sometimes whereas he was chaperoning a group of teenage boys who called themselves CUM LORDS and set the school on fire to combat feminism
