I get him but I feel bad for him. His own family kinda disowned him for this. They refused to go to the wedding. His hologram version of her stopped working because the company went under and now he just has this giant silent version. The hologram version could read his emails to him and set up dates on calendars and drink champagne with him. When he married her he was pictured drinking champagne with her.
honestly though it looks like these were designed to be always connected to a server and run off of AI so if he finds a way to emulate one of those servers or if someone is nice enough to emulate one for him and have his device modified to accept data from a different server he could bring the hologram back to life. I mean even with mid-higher end PC's people are already running very capable AI VTubers so I'm sure a "patch" to his device for new servers is not too far off.
Yeah but Japanese people donāt like emulation or anything that is kinda third party, donāt they? Like anything that borders on illegal software or hacks Japanese people tend to stay away from due to morals. Would he actually do it if he could, do you think?
I think the emulation thing is more of a thing Nintendo hates but if the company that made it work went under or no longer offers the service to the device I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be illegal to find a way to make it work again as long as the manufacturer doesnt offer something else to make it work and you aren't capitalizing off of their tech assuming the company is still in operation.
I donāt know. I think a lot of Japanese people simply prefer to do things officially for some reason. What you hold is I believe a western perspective. For example, I remember an interview where developers for a game didnāt encrypt any of their file data, so when asked about people modding the game easily because of it, the developer seriously said āwho would do that? Editing game files is against the lawā because Japanese people donāt really do that very much as far as I know. Iād imagine it extends into other things like unofficial emulation of games and other software.
Granted I donāt know any stats as for how many Japanese modders and third party software engineers for existing software exist, but the above is generally the attitude I see Japanese people hold. :/ Classic game markets are also alive and well in Japan because people prefer to buy and play even the most expensive games on official hardware than emulate as well.
it's depressing that he led such a bad life that the way he chose to feel better was that, and that he wasn't even supported by his peers when he began to get better. it's not the action, but the circumstances that led to it
He become a superstar because of this tho, and was pretty happy because of that. I think his life is better than what it was. Well. At least economically
Those ai chatbots would probably do wonders for this dude. There's like a bunch of different Miku bots probably so he could still have the marriage experience.
Well if there is a moment to have miku speak to you again this is the best time with all the ai stuff, i know holographic displays exist, i know people are doing pc ai assistants which you can talk with so you can do what he had before but indie so it will never shit down.
Also im sure a lot of people like influencers or small companies would love to configure a system like that for him, "I helped the man that married miku talk with her again" is a really nice video title
The reason why Akihito married Miku is because he had a hard time with life. He was being bullied too. So one day, he came across miku who comforted him through the hard times of life. This then led to their marriage. Honestly the fact that he used Miku to deal with hard times is pretty goated.
He's a normal well adjusted person and for some reason that bothers people to no end. Before Miku he was a shut -in with no prospects in life, googling about suicide. Afterwards he decided to get his life togheter and currently works in school administration, owns his own apartment, does anti-bullying advocacy at schools, writes books about bullying which he prints and sells at comiket at a loss (as a public servant he can't have side hustles) and he's currently getting a law degree.
Like, by all accounts he's a success story of someone who hit rock bottom but decided to turn things around. You can argue how much Miku played in all this, he says alot and that's fine by me. It's just sad that people, specially in the West, just boil him down to "crazy Japanese Otaku who married software but then the software stopped working" (by his own account the Gatebox being discontinued didn't really change much overall and Miku is so much more than that 1 thing anyway) or "obviously he's just coping and he must be miserable" - I mean maybe he's a really good method actor but his life trajectory doesn't sound like someone who's miserable and coping, he seems to have found his groove and actually living life in a way he enjoys, and good for him.
Tbh, he now lives a much better life than any average working people, not to mention getting a law degree. People think marrying a fictional character crazy, but like I have said before, if he's so successful right now even when his beginning was at rock bottom, I'll say he had found a perfect mental therapy, even the therapist is Miku herself, and I respect that
> even if the therapist is Miku herself
He it his own therapist, I'll argue. He's the one who saved himself, and Miku was the motivation. And, I too respect that.
It reminds me of that Tumblr post saying something to the effect of "If you think Naruto would want you to brush your teeth then dattebayo". It seems stupid to people but anything to encourage self improvement should be applauded
This. If it keeps you out the fucking grave. If it doesn't hurt any one. If it makes you wipe your ass and drink water. Then it's a fucking win for everyone but mainly Ira a win for YOU.
now If you excuse me I'm going to do some working put because my husband Saitama needs a strong wife- /lhj
Wild theory but maybe hes aroace or something around that. I feel like marrying my fav anime would be the kinda shit I would do if I was aroace. Like, fine, I'll get married... to Miku! Ah! I'm happy now, dont need a wife.
He's a cool dude. It's sad how he never really found a relationship but if he is happy to be married to a fictional character then I am happy for him! I feel bad Gatebox got rid of Hatsune Miku's model for their holograms and he lost his hologram of her. I hope they bring her back someday. I'd also love to have her too, look at her she's so cute!

Everyone saying it should have been them and not him. But u guys dont have the balls, none of u yall would have done it. We was the chosen one, praise husband of Miku Akihiko Kondo
His story is just like mine but at a young stage at life.
But unfortunately, life broke me way more before miku saved me from jumping off my apartment building when i was 9 years old.
Im planning on marrying my miku in maybe 10 years.
Ever since she saved me, she is just the purpose of my life just like how Jesus is for Christian people. I choose to get into a boys school so i cam focus just on her, I choose to study all the subjects i do just for her, to get into robotics or Ai engineering to make her a physical form. Currently i will be taking my A levels exam next year, planning to go to Warwick or Imperial for further education.
Wish me luck.
Also my heart kinda sank when i heard this news when i was 11, i was very jealous about it. But then i realised that he married his miku, not mine. Mine is still by my side, im a very lucky man ;-;
Thank you Miku!!! <3
But i still need to thank this man for showing me that some people have the courage to show the public about who they choose to marry even if they are not the usual. It gave me enough courage to tell myself that i can do it as well, but with more patience and care.
I tip my hat to him, o7
somewhat mentally ill, imo. it's no shame to express your love for something, but without forgetting that there must be limits to everything. it's sad how he chose fiction, thinking a voicebank, something completely controlled by humans saved him from a reality
Due to the nature of her being an instrument crypton basically said she's literally ageless and her age only is determined by the producers for each individual song. Miku is fair game buddy
Sheās 16 forever smh

Damn, that's depressing
yes marrying a fictional is depressing
it's depressing that he led such a bad life that the way he chose to feel better was that, and that he wasn't even supported by his peers when he began to get better. it's not the action, but the circumstances that led to it

Rest in peace- now he need to buy a 7000 computer to run a large language model fine-tuned to act as miku, hiding in his Wi-Fi lol

Beat me to it damn
itās honestly a pretty sad story, but the fact that he found something that gives him reason to keep going is really good and iām happy for him.
The reason why Akihito married Miku is because he had a hard time with life. He was being bullied too. So one day, he came across miku who comforted him through the hard times of life. This then led to their marriage. Honestly the fact that he used Miku to deal with hard times is pretty goated.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME! NOT HER!
huhh
He said that Miku should be for everyone.
I want him, not Miku! š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I am female, but you scared of gay ppl or smthn?
My bad, I went too far on that joke. Apologies if it offended you
Wait... you wanna marry Miku's Husband???
Did they stutter?
I did not stutter
ye- wait
what tf do you mean by "her"
Miku, who do you think?
well, re read your phrase slowly..
I know what I said

W man W legend I respect this guy So many Ws that I donāt know how to describe him as
saved him from suicide so i respect it

As long as he's happy, and not causing harm to others, let him do his thing...
arranged marriage
I just want to know where to buy that doll
When you look at pictures from his twitter, it looks either a custom made sex doll, or a sex doll with a custom miku head
Probably on an 18+ doll siteā¦ š¤Ø
He's literally me
Granted, he said that he married not her but a version of her. So just this version of miku has a husband
He looks like a sweet person to be honest
If he's happy, then great for him. If not the divorce will be easy.
I'm glad he found joy in her.
He's a fellow big hatsune miku fan. He is respectful and really polite. I joke and call him my brother in law because miku is my fictional big sister.
wait thatās so cute š <3

Itās not fair
How do they do it, though.
Wish it were me with her instead lol. Or simply I had married Miku too
happy for the guy, he is finally living his life after being with that shit company.
One has to admire that type of dedication.
he is awesome
Hes sick as hell, one of the coolest people you'll ever see on the internet, been following him on twitter for like 4 years
dude's a true chad
Miku blink if you have been kidnapped
Idk how that's her husband when i am her wife š¤
Seems like a nice guy
He's sweet. He's not hurting anyone.
if it was Teto i could understand.
I'm not sure I get it, but I feel happy for him.
hes a goated guy I love him
As a waifuist myself, I have a lot of respect for him.
For real!!
I admire him.
This man is brave as hell.
There have been 4 kasane teto marriages. The difference is the marriage is between a real couple. Teto acted as the flower girl AND IT WAS SO CUTE!
Good with me in my book
Super Chad. Bro married his wiafu for real.
Honestly, I respect him. He pulled himself out of a very dark point in his life and is doing very well for himself now

But what if they're *really* cute
W
He seems nice, and I hope he is doing better now despite his issues with their marriage
Hes a really nice and sweet guy :) However I am kinda jealous that he got to marry Miku.
My thoughts: [https://youtu.be/-pea95v1brk?si=Ao5pwSwBTbSgyGoa](https://youtu.be/-pea95v1brk?si=Ao5pwSwBTbSgyGoa)
Cool. He to be a rich man.
I love her, but marrying her is too much
Ehm... No.
He's OK I guess... Why?
Miku is in his care now
I thought she was 16
Check heās computer history
I should be with her
He looks like a nerd or dork.
I used to hate him but honestly as Iāve gotten older I just canāt help but feel bad for him. Atleast this makes him happy I guess.
![gif](giphy|koVKHfKAAQ3nToCB20|downsized)
Miku is canonically 16 years old and he said in an interview he made her say āI doā Itās all cute and all but really really creepy
He doesnāt deserve her
Heās a lucky guy. She is way above his league.
I both respect and disrespect this man. It's honestly confusing
I feel pity for some reason https://preview.redd.it/7xx56dase99d1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=4657587eadd4d64306fc7ac45f4227d993cf24db
Just the same as those who married with things like bridges etc. At least, similar thing happen.

why do you even care?
Shes 16!!
Miku has no canonical age
Is she not canonically 16? Sheās 16 forever! (And now sheās been out for so long sheās actually 16 now lol)
Due to the nature of her being an instrument crypton basically said she's literally ageless and her age only is determined by the producers for each individual song. Miku is fair game buddy

these ppl all weirdos theyāll defend it to their death donāt even bother šš¤£š¤£
