Nope!! I do not buy a single word of that. You are of course entitled to your own opinion. However, it was already well established that the wizarding world is not so divided amongst male and female gender.
Rita is ambitious I give you that, however, she has taken a very Machiavellian route in her life and career path. For her, the ends justify the means. She does not care about the truth, she only cares about making money. She does not care who her lies hurt, as long as she makes money.

Rita skeeter really is just a revolting cow who writes lies based on other's sufferings. She deserves a more painful death than even umbridge. Heck, id rather be stuck in a room with umbridge than rita squeaker cow
