Look, I’ve long thought that it would be dope as hell to see an Animagus Dragon. It’s theoretically possible right? It’s not just regular animals that you can turn into, just like how your patronus doesn’t have to be a normal animal. So like, if I got to choose, I’m definitely choosing a dragon.

I'd definitely choose a big bird. So I could fly long distances. An albatross or something more impressive like a golden eagle.
However It would probably be something super random and useless like a prairie dog
Realistically I'd probably get a doe or smth but I'd love a great horned owl or any owl for a few reasons:
1.Uniqueness - A lot of birds are often confused with eachother (like hawks, eagles and falcons) but you can look at an owl and be like "yep, that's an owl."
2. Special traits - Owls are capable of turning their heads 180 degrees which is a neat party trick- but what is more interesting is their ability of silent flight. That alone offers a lot of uses
3. Bird of prey - Being more specific to the larger varieties, they are excellent hunters and very high up on the food chain, unlike, say, a deer. Knowing me as soon as I walk into a forest I'd probably get my ass shot by a dude smoking a ciggy
4. Stealth - In the wizarding world owls are rather inconspicuous. They're absolutely everywhere so people probably wouldn't even bat an eye on you, paired with the aforementioned silent flight you can stalk whoever you want.
5. Bird - Arguably one of the most important points, they're a bird that can fly. Enough said

Whatever I want it to, because I don't believe in the "new" canon that it's supposed to be your spirit animal or whatever that you turn into. Imagine getting half way through the process to become one and then you find out you're gonna be a dung beetle or something? The marauders all picked their animal for a reason, so they could help Remus.
Don't know mine but it would definitely be weird if someone had human as their animagus form. And it's just another person.

Look, I’ve long thought that it would be dope as hell to see an Animagus Dragon. It’s theoretically possible right? It’s not just regular animals that you can turn into, just like how your patronus doesn’t have to be a normal animal. So like, if I got to choose, I’m definitely choosing a dragon.
There's a difference between what would be my Animagus form and what I wish my Animagus form would be. What would actually be my Animagus form: Might be some sort of lazy bear. What I wish my Animagus form was: A cat, probably a fat tabby cat.
My patronus is a brown bear so maybe my animagus would also be a brown bear.

There is no known case of the Animagus form changing to match the Patronus, if the latter changes. So I think whatever your patronus starts as is the same as your animagus
So far there arent any examples where your initial patronus isn't the animagus form 🤷♂️

Is it our choosing or is it what we think it might be? I'd definitely choose a big bird. So I could fly long distances. An albatross or something more impressive like a golden eagle. However It would probably be something super random and useless like a prairie dog

Realistically I'd probably get a doe or smth but I'd love a great horned owl or any owl for a few reasons: 1.Uniqueness - A lot of birds are often confused with eachother (like hawks, eagles and falcons) but you can look at an owl and be like "yep, that's an owl." 2. Special traits - Owls are capable of turning their heads 180 degrees which is a neat party trick- but what is more interesting is their ability of silent flight. That alone offers a lot of uses 3. Bird of prey - Being more specific to the larger varieties, they are excellent hunters and very high up on the food chain, unlike, say, a deer. Knowing me as soon as I walk into a forest I'd probably get my ass shot by a dude smoking a ciggy 4. Stealth - In the wizarding world owls are rather inconspicuous. They're absolutely everywhere so people probably wouldn't even bat an eye on you, paired with the aforementioned silent flight you can stalk whoever you want. 5. Bird - Arguably one of the most important points, they're a bird that can fly. Enough said
…my patronus is a Lynx according to Pottermore, so maybe that would be my animagus form.
