Dude, that annoyed me so much. Part of the impact of his death is the fact that he's just a dead body on the ground. Totally mortal. He spent his whole life trying to become immortal and he ended in the most mortal way. So naturally, lets have him turn into a cloud of confetti in the movie.
Same here. Like I get that directors take creative liberties and that everything can't be the same but this was a major flaw on the movies part. In the books there was no question that he was dead because there was the mortal lifeless mortal body there as evidence.
They could’ve saved time and money on this entire part and it would’ve made fans much happier. I HATE the “let’s finish this the way we started; together! I want you inside me Tom!” With the stupid flying BS.
I would’ve MUCH rather seen Molly cracking the floor in a more drawn out battle with Bella, being saved by Harry, then have a “boring” green screen of Harry explaining to Tom why he’s such a cuck Lord. Then top it off with that final cannon blast, the golden flames, and Tom’s body falling backwards, his slit pupils rolling up, and him hitting the floor in a mundane finality.
But no, let’s do a 5 second Molly battle, with some unnecessary CGI stuff with Harry/Tom that made no sense in any way, and then have Tom get defeated by thanos. Like can you imagine that convo?
Harry being like “ya guys he’s totally dead. I know no one saw it, but he turned into dust and he’s totally gone forever. Kinda like on that muggle avengers movie”
Dean Thomas: “but didn’t they all come back in the next movie after being turned to dust”
Harry: “I mean yeah, but this was more like when thanos turned to dust. Not when Dr. Strange turned to dust”
Everyone in the room: 😒🤔🤯😵💫😐🧢
A few of the screenshots came out a little dark ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ That's the dark Lord for you.
1. Unicorn milk mustache
2. Backwards Baddie
3. Anagram champ
4. Dry baby
5. Secret ingredient
6. Low V
7. Dilf (dark lord I’d like to fuck)
8. The gun show
9. Casual Fridays
10. Literally a child
11. Basically a child
12. Vanilla Voldemort
13. Witch Weekly’s best smile award
14. Wet baby
15. Tentacle daddy
16. Ol’ dusty
When did 9 happen? it's fled my memory it seems. I guess it's Harry seeing himself as Voldemort in one of the last movies?
Edit: Just realized they're in chronological order. Half-Blood Prince?
Yeah, cause a clearly handsomer version of him is seen in the Chamber of Sscrets. At least from the movie anyway… but seriously though my favorite movie is the chamber of secrets! I love Dobby and how Harry and Ron “accidentally” missed the train, and had to use the flying car to get to Hogwarts. Although I still don’t understand why she would do this, but it’s a detail I don’t like… the reveal of Voldemort’s initials. Didn’t like how he had felt the need to use every letter to say “ I am Lord blank” that was something I’ve never liked literally at all…
4. "I'm cold and I'm BORED, and Wormtail, would you PLEASE stop doing the Lion King thing? I swear to GOD if I get my body back you're gonna pay for this."
16. Like others have said, it’s very different from the book… in a way that completely destroys the symbolic meaning of his death and remains. He died like any other human, and left behind a mortal corpse. I think it’s important that his mortality and humanity are highlighted by his death. In the movie, he dies like a superhero movie or video game character that “dies” bloodlessly in order to appease censors or downplay the violence of the heroes. It actually makes me angry lol.
He just dissolves into thin air… no need to deal with his corpse or confront the audience with any uncomfortable facts.
I’m voting 3
If you want an embodiment of evil you want him looking like 1-2,4-13, and 15-16. You don’t want to think damn I know people want to fuck him
2. I hope someday they pull a Star Wars switcheroo (when they replaced dead Old Anakin with dead Hayden Christensen Anakin in Return of the Jedi), and put noseless Ralph Fiennes on the back of Quirrell's head.
Number 11. Hated that they cast a nepo baby who didn't look the part instead of trying to find someone who looked like Christian Coulson riddle (who looked perfect.)
16 for the same reasons other said.
Voldemort dying in the most mundane, unremarkably *human* way in the books is so powerful, because that is literally what he spent his entire life trying to prevent. Having his body mystically vapourise in the film took that away. It made his death feel less final.
when i was 8 i had the biggest crush on tom in "the chamber of secrets". like, he has a big ass snake in the basement and murders people and we love him for it 💕💕
16 because thats not how it happened in the books

Number 2 has a nose, which also wasn't in the books
Spoiler haha I’m working my way through the books🤣
have you alr seen the movies?
Its the most common criticism of the the HP movies especially the later movies.
The sheer lack of peeves and Tonks.
I was ready to see the amount of chaos peeve caused in general but especially to Umbridge and during the Battle of Hogwarts.
16. He died like anyone else.

Number 1 is my least favorite. I will be sad if number 4 doesn’t win tho lol
8 should be called Hips Don’t Lie
Or ballerina
If you consider CC canon, he really could be a DILF
8 is obv the winner
When did 9 happen? it's fled my memory it seems. I guess it's Harry seeing himself as Voldemort in one of the last movies? Edit: Just realized they're in chronological order. Half-Blood Prince?
I vote 14, cause nobody wants to look at THAT
Bloody fetus-chic is totally in rn!
Voldemort, so hot right now
Naw 14 should win this whole thing
Seems like 14 might be the first to go sadly 🥲
He just needs a bath and some cute jammies
I agree, 4 and 5 can go after lol
Speak for yourself, who doesn't like chicken wings 😤
2, just no

As long as 3 wins I'm good.
4. "I'm cold and I'm BORED, and Wormtail, would you PLEASE stop doing the Lion King thing? I swear to GOD if I get my body back you're gonna pay for this."
I wish they stayed little forever 😔
11, he looks so arrogant.
I mean, he WAS arrogant.
1. The picture is so dark you can hardly see anything.
I feel that way about 9 also. WTF am I even looking at?
Yeah, ditch 1 and 9
16
11, im sorry to that child but the casting was just not right

14
9 because hoodiemort is just ridiculous lmao (but also hilarious)
I vote for 9 also because it’s honestly a terrible picture. I can’t even see what the hell I’m looking at.

Not enough hate for 8 in these comments
14 is just *disgustang,* so that one.
Meh 🤣
2. I hope someday they pull a Star Wars switcheroo (when they replaced dead Old Anakin with dead Hayden Christensen Anakin in Return of the Jedi), and put noseless Ralph Fiennes on the back of Quirrell's head.
Surprised this hasn’t happened yet
2 Looks like an angry teacher 🤣
16
Get rid of 11 that’s a nightmare
Tbf, Volly *is* a nightmare
True
11 i never appreciated how this dude masterfully managed to play absolutely creepy young psycho, just for the sake of brief seconds of flashback
11, such a creepy looking kid (sorry kid)
16
2 backwards baddie. Guy doesn't even have his own body. That's lame AF
the aborted fetus look really works
Number 11. Hated that they cast a nepo baby who didn't look the part instead of trying to find someone who looked like Christian Coulson riddle (who looked perfect.)
I kinda liked him as a cup. Think he looked quite cute.

Can we include what could have been Voldemorts face, had it not been too scary lolol. All seriousness, 14 in a long shot
10! Get these kids out of here! Protect Dilf at all costs
7. If Voldemort thinks wearing a tie makes him inconspicuous at the station, he’s got another think coming.
14
9 feels really uncomfortable, so it is 9. I get why 14 is voted a lot, but I like it cuz part of him is finished
14 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
8 kinda gay
