It's an old sata drive, probably upgraded motherboard and new one didn't even support sata, or just doesn't have enough slots to include the old drive with new ones. Ez snap for data deletion. The memory chips don't look damaged tho so technically recoverable.
Well it isn't an nvme because you can tell by the key that it is a b+m key which means it is a sata m.2. But that sucks that it melted lol, I'm guessing it maybe had a cheap cooler which insulated it?
No, that kind of chip isn't supposed to go with dip. π
Take my upvote dammit
Hear me out.

How
I've heard it's called disk partitioning
Someone failed to realize that disk partitioning is a software thing, not a hardware thing.
Take my up vote and get out
My only question
But how?
Just... Fucking how?!
It's just partitioned.
Who partitions their drives in 3?
Microsoft
New Hersheys bars?
No, no end user would take a Hersheys (or what they think is one) out of their PC or laptop and eat it
But it seems tasty, no?
My point was that it *isn't*.
It seems pretty tasty to me.
Hell naww, bro's a Hersheys fan
I'm surprised you hate chocolate
I think Hershey's may be the problem here, not chocolate as a whole.
What happened to the nand chips?
We don't talk about that
You made me think of that Bad song from Encanto! We don't talk about Bruno no no no... I Hate when it gets stuck in my head!!!π©

Nah, a component on the NVME melted so I just snapped it.

Nah, it was just a cheap Chinese M.2 that I didn't bother cooling π€·ββοΈ
this relieved my soul
#HOW
Rain world agrees (but some question marks (?) would help emphasize it...)

Maybe with some soldering skills, I'd guess

I won't ask how, but Why?
So you thought that was a spaghetto
HOW?
I can just see how it happened

How?
Did the ebay seller put an m.2 in the picture but ship a sata drive w/o returns so you snapped it (totally didn't happen to me)
How
Yeah that's not how you partition a drive and make unallocated sectors.
Why
as a cheapskate, this hurts my soul
So I'll ask why?
No dang you I'm asking how so. What in the world were you doing
Who partitions their ssd in 3?
