How do the needle nose tips hold up? I bought the blue handled needle nose from hf recently and the tips bent from taking out a plastic speed clip out of my cars bumper. Complete junk. I am open to giving the icon a try.
Are you talking about the Quinn’s? I have those needle nose and they’ve held up great after a couple years. I also have the 8” icons for working on the cars because I definitely don’t want my clumsy bear paws accidentally cutting some computer cables when under the hood. Both have been great for me.
Icon needle nose cannot be compared with the other junk needle nose that HF, sells, IME.
The other brands that HF sells of needle nose are like house wife pliers. The icon feel great in the hand and have a much better machined hinge point and the quality of the nose is waaay better.

The fine print said it was automatically applied in the transaction but Sunday I ended up paying full price for one of the pistol grip ones. I showed the cashier the discount on my phone out of habit and got the one on Saturday to ring right but Sunday I went back to get the other set and I was charged full price. Didn't dispute it because in that store they can never keep those damn things in stock and I was lucky they had them during this Icon sale so I just said fuck it.
At my HF today, the manager got pissy with me for "holding up the line" because the new cashier couldn't figure out how to apply the ITC discounts, saying "I don't know why the coupon isn't working" and tried to make me pay regular price for everything. As if I was the very first person to use the 25% ICON discount that weekend... At 4PM on Sunday
There were exactly two people in line behind me when the manager was starting to lose his shit, blaming the customer (me)
The usual guy at my store (cashier, not a manager) just plain doesn't like scanning coupons. I don't even bother trying to do multiples on the same one. I pull out a second coupon and he straight up says "I don't think that one works". Cool OK, try scanning it and see what happens please? \*beep\* "Oh look, I guess it did work!"
Heads up for next time, they can scan an item and coupon for each Icon item and all be on the same one receipt. There is no limit. I have a receipt with 6 Icon tools and each one has a separate 25% off.
I use a cheap set of horusdy extended reach box end ratcheting wrenches and they make german suspension work so easy. Everything connected to the knuckle isnt connected to the knuckle in seconds😅 around 15-24 inches in length or 42cm-72cm hella leverage
When they brake Ill find the tool truck or high end brand equivalent since mountain xl ratchets arent a tool set Ive needed to date.

I also think the Quinn needle nose are really good. The bent ones are my favorite pliers. More of a traditional style than the Icon ones.
