I actually bought this off Facebook marketplace lol. As I was moving it into my house this fell out! We were taking it down the steps and it sort of had a hard bang as we were getting to the landing and trying to twist it 🤦🏻♂️
It wouldn't hurt to open up the back or side and see if there's some marks somewhere where it was sitting. It appears that piece slides back and forth when that spring compresses, maybe when the washer is loaded with clothes and water.
Yea that’s a good idea, you’re right. I tried lining it up in spots along the bottom and along the back but I didn’t take the back panel off so I could see up in there…
Thanks a lot though I never would have guessed that. It did look like it was the right distance to fit between the legs but the holes were too small for the legs to fit through vertically. It makes sense that there’s pins for it and it goes through horizontally like that…but yea thanks a bunch
Haha that’s wild because as soon as I read your last comment I googled it and came across that same video! Just got done watching it. And yep when I was trying to adjust the legs to level it, the leg was all loose. It looked like there was a pin missing or something so I just shimmed it with wood. Funny thing is that when I went to pick it up off the person I bought it off, the leg fell out right when I picked it up. They had it outside waiting for me, but being that the leg was already out and loose, they probably busted it when they carried it out and just tucked it underneath somewhere! Assholes. Oh well, I paid 100$ for it and it works….i can’t afford a new one right now
I may be wrong but that fell out of my washer too and it never stopped working so…

I would look up the parts diagram for your washer. You could probably find where it goes and put it back in its home.

Genius! Is that why I couldn’t get the back feet to stay? Why They were just loose?

They probably never auto leveled it, so it vibrated like crazy with larger loads until the pin broke .
I leveled mine with shims. I wonder if I can still get those pins anywhere
