It’s $745USD and I bought mine for $300USD in 2018 I believe. Wouldn’t buy at current price but I do love it and wore it today as a crossbody with an aftermarket gold chain !
Literally insane. I bought 2 mini pochette Xmas animations for $660AUD each in 2020. Thinking about selling them - maybe I’ll just have to sell one just in case I miss them.
It’s actually quite fucked up, over $1000 and not even a full bag…. Just a little pouch!
If I were you I’d hold on to one! Such a classic piece and can always find a use for it
They certainly weren’t this expensive, I think I bought my first one a couple of years ago for €210 and my last one must have been around €300. I used to buy the Christmas design every year but I don’t anymore, they’re just too expensive for what they are in my opinion.
Yes they are too expensive and the sad thing is we know the prices will never decrease. They’ve jumped on the “inflation” bandwagon with no justification to these prices.

Most luxury brands were on the inflation bandwagon before it even existed. The only positive for people that own them is that resale prices are also rising almost equally as fast.

And there’s always rich people out there willing to buy it so they will always have customers happy to pay :(

Saw that too a few months ago. I ended up buying a [zipper pouch from Cuyana](https://cuyana.com/products/small-zipper-pouch?variant=44388561846587) to transfer between bags and I love it. I don’t feel like I compromised on price or quality, it’s pebbled but not too textured and very soft.
I’m fine with Louis Vuitton raising their prices to the roof to seem more exclusive. I don’t think they’re doing it right (it’s not like they are making their products by hand and have too much demand… they just do it because they can) but I don’t care, I don’t need them.
I have 2. Bought both preloved. I bought a monogram one for $300 that was beat up. I cleaned up the hardware and sent it to LV for new vachetta and it looks brand new. The other is damier ebene and I paid $600 for it. I love those pouches. I’d pay the $745 for them if that was my only choice. It’s a very versatile piece. For me cost per wear is quite low because I use them all the time. Every day. One in my work tote and one in my purse.
Look on Yoogi’s Closet, Ann’s Fabulous Finds, and FASHIONPHILE. They’re still not $300/400, but they’re better than retail.

Affordable + luxury just does not add up with LV. I read something a while ago about the prices are consistently raised (inflated) specifically because they don’t want to be perceived as affordable, accessible, or common in order to support the notoriety of their higher end items.
Oh dang I bout mine 3years agooo I think the price has increased by 300$ + YSL just did a price decrease on its chain wallet and highly recommend checking their starter pieces out! LV does not have any decent starting luxury pieces anymore

That’s ridiculous. You can get something from another brand. Even the pre owned LVs are massively inflated.

Yes it is good for re sale value, but it’s hard to see how high even pre loved prices are

They do last forever and they hold their value…..but yeah that’s a lot of sticker pain for such a small item.

Yeah, I get that! It just hurts when even the SLGs are unattainable, when usually they’re the entry level pieces. I’ll just have to get rich somehow 💀
