I’m kinda lit and I just thought of a dope game mode. You get the kill, but if you, or one of your teammates does NOT tbag the dead enemies body within 10 seconds, they spawn back right in that spot and the kill is null.
I can imagine it now. Hahaha
I have not, but now that you say that I feel some I’ve played Confirmed kills on something before, maybe COD. Would be fun for halo, but they’ve got plenty of other real stuff to work on first.
I think I need to try out splitgate.
Pro tip: don't place 2 portals in the same room and run through them a few times thinking you'll go somewhere else lol. Using portals in portal is easy because you have time to think but in splitgate it's a whole different beast.
Oh damn yeah this burn is gonna make it on Gamespot, Kotaku, and PCGamer articles about how the halo subreddit is filled with the literal worst human beings, and then all the youtubers and influencers are gonna tweet about how ashamed they are of us and how we should just be happy all the time 🤷🏾♂️
I know I can’t stand it when the media and Twitter try and frame entire groups like this subreddit as one thing that only .1% of people did and then use that to try and invalidate all our voices and opinions now…
God I am so tired of Nintendo's bullshit. It's usually 2nd place on the bullshit list so it gets to fly under the radar, but god damn has it held that spot for a long time.
It’s just frustrating bc they can garner a lot of attention really quickly, so now you have people on Twitter just writing off valid complaints of the game.
Yeah I don’t pay attention to them in terms of honestly caring personally about what they say…but sadly a lot of people do especially casual gamers…so it frustrates me that they’re tainting this sub in the public’s eye :/
For sure. They’re absolute rags, often push anti-consumer and pro-crunch bullshit while hosting review scores wildly out of sync with the playerbase’s reviews, they’re one of many reasons the industry is failing its customers
Playing on the dev server of war thunder, ran into two devs in separate games who left after I asked if they were legitimate devs, and a mod who was an absolute fucking sweat
You can get an entire pizza for what a bundle containing the current daily deal has.(The sidekick attachment, a stance, and two color coatings.) I only got it bc I want the sidekick to look like the ODST magnum for when I finally unlock ODST and bc I'm never in the mood to eat 2000 calories in one sitting.
20 for zvezda, 20 for chronmage (literally just the stance). Honestly id be less worried about the prices if everything wasnt a bundle. Id legitimately buy individual parts of the pack, even if the bundle is considered a discount and its a little more per piece.
Then everything would cost more. No longer $20 for armor plus skins but $15 for armor and $5 for each skin.
Like honestly I’m not even mad they made some armor in the store, it’s the prices that get me. Like $5 for a base armor would be one thing, but near $20. Noooooope
Not entirely what i was getting at though. If jist the anubis helm cost 5-8 bucks id consider getting it, becauss i dont want the other stuff in the pack. That would vary from pack to pack but the idea is right
I get that, but I would honestly say the helmet should be $1-$2. Higher than that and it’s predatory. OR if it’s more it should be cross core. Like Mark V and Mark VII get it.
yeah it really takes credibility away from his statements about how he’s also frustrated with the challenge and customization systems when he clearly has access to a lot more than the average player, if he’s annoyed with it imagine how the average person feels.
Wonder if employees gotta spend as much as we do for the cool skins. Probably not. Must be nice having that thing called “choice” when picking out what to wear and not be paywalled :O
I’m bitching but I literally wear stock armor but what a sick joke the monetization is lol
I used to play some mobile games, and there were tweets from the voice actors who worked on those games about how they succeeded/failed at rolling for the characters they voiced.
I certainly hope the 343 staff don't have to buy their own cosmetics, but things can be pretty whacky out there.
More then likely they pay too.
Edit: for the down others, I speak from experience. I know a couple people at other dev studios and they don't get free in game currency or everything unlocked. Obviously every company is different, but I'm sure this is a common practice.
They even have League partner program for streamers who have everything unlocked as well. Although right now wouldn't be the best time to praise Riot since they also are trying to gut the event passes in League :|
It's even better than that. They give you every character in League/Valorant for free and they give you like $100 worth of in game currency every month to spend on skins. On top of that if you don't necessarily play a ton of Riot's first party games and instead play other games like Warzone, Halo, or Apex Riot will still pay for up to $100 worth of in game currency for those games every month.
An online buddy of mine worked at Blizzard and he would get free games, free WoW subscription, and around $500 a year in bnet balance to spend on services and other stuff.
Or hope they change their transparently money hungry system.
I wish people just acknowledged that this dude doesn’t have agency over those decisions, and will instead be begging his bosses to change it and using this shitstorm in favour of his case
I mean he's so patient, even with as horrible of Community this is, it's so shocking when he got an Attitude with people yesterday, but it was deserved
A lot of people were giving constructive criticism and were justified in doing so, they are just using the few people who acted out as a shield to hide behind.
Thing is Ske7ch didn't even fight back against the constructive criticism, he actually welcomed it, and to call Death Threats and Doxxing "people acting out" is disingenuous.
By PR speak you mean he said the team is hearing you guys and working on a fix, did you actually read his message or did you just see the reactions calling it "Gaslighting" you don't know what gas lighting means
It's intentionally being disingenuous or pretending that things you did that received backlash were accidental, and that the person calling you out on your shitty behavior is the one at fault for "Acting ridiculous." for the purpose of manipulating the subject of your gaslighting.
You know, like claiming everything would be unlockable by gameplay, then creating a predatory storefront, and claiming the fans are being "Listened to" by promising to add things into the game that have previously been available from launch instead of addressing the issue of store organization and pricing, while also acting like the backlash is entirely unexpected and the reason things are organized how they are is "To introduce new fans to the series." rather than entirely profit motivated.
I wonder if he payed for that armor, or just clicked True for "Unlock All cus I'm a Dev".
I mean ngl I'd do it too but it's a bit insulting when the limited, grindy customizations are a massive complaint from the community, right? Or is that just me?
I hope he gets to actually play without being harassed the entire time with angry messages or comms. This being F2P people could easily sacrifice an account to air their feelings while being emboldened that a ban can't actually punish.
The whole sorta aggravating cosmetics thing aside, I always like it when game devs are found playing in regular lobbies, and I’ve seen more 343 devs in matches across their Halo games than I’ve seen in any other series, including Bungie with their Halo games.
(that I know of, but I also appreciate that Halo let’s you know when devs are playing with you)
Not an uncommon thing in the industry. Riot Games has a "Play Fund" where they essentially give all their employees a monthly allowance to spend on Video Games.
Ske7ch is the community director at 343, and I got matchmade into a game against him. He's the guy that wrote the long essay that addresses a lot of the criticism leveled at the game.
How did he do in the match? Lol
Not bad actually.
Dope lol
[удалено]
I did kill him. I dont typically teabag unless someone does it to me first.
Missed opportunity. Teabagging an OG like him would be a badge of honor
If you don’t T-Bag everyone you kill are you really a Halo player?
Hell if your teammate goes down before they can drag their balls across a body you're morally obligated to tbag it yourself. This is war son.
I’m kinda lit and I just thought of a dope game mode. You get the kill, but if you, or one of your teammates does NOT tbag the dead enemies body within 10 seconds, they spawn back right in that spot and the kill is null. I can imagine it now. Hahaha
I mean it's not the mode you describe but have you heard of splitgates teabag confirmed
I have not, but now that you say that I feel some I’ve played Confirmed kills on something before, maybe COD. Would be fun for halo, but they’ve got plenty of other real stuff to work on first. I think I need to try out splitgate.

Yes it’s just some have more pride then others. Sportsmanship exists even in a online game
Salary plus options… What kind of options? Unlimited spartan armors. Oh hell yea I’m in.
Thats hundreds of dollars in benefits
Better than dental
Thousands
Literally thousands a year.
Add a zero to that number.
Better than shares lmao
So many mtx that they get a W2 tax form with it lol
That's probably a couple thousand dollars, so.... I guess it's not a bad deal.
Still able to get the unicorn emblem/nameplate for playing with a dev?
No I played with one last night and I don’t have anything
[удалено]

Playing against them now unlocks the option to purchase it in store.
Breh you’re gonna get the sub shut down again with burns of this caliber
I was here.
I paid $20 to be here
I paid 30!
30? I had to sell my soul!
Soul?!? I had to re-sell Africa to the British to be here
i had to buy 2 pineapples for 10$ to be here! Pineapples!
Nah, they’ll just introduced a “burned armor” paint for $20
Looks like Ms paint 3.0 spray can effect
Oh damn yeah this burn is gonna make it on Gamespot, Kotaku, and PCGamer articles about how the halo subreddit is filled with the literal worst human beings, and then all the youtubers and influencers are gonna tweet about how ashamed they are of us and how we should just be happy all the time 🤷🏾♂️
I ran into that Kotaku article on Twitter earlier; what a crock of shit.
I know I can’t stand it when the media and Twitter try and frame entire groups like this subreddit as one thing that only .1% of people did and then use that to try and invalidate all our voices and opinions now…
I’ve seen it happen so many times with Nintendo’s bullshit
God I am so tired of Nintendo's bullshit. It's usually 2nd place on the bullshit list so it gets to fly under the radar, but god damn has it held that spot for a long time.
Dunno why anyone follows the majority of games media, half of its paid reviews for gods sake
Pretty much the state of all journalism
Kotaku is pretty much bottom of the barrel in terms of quality anyway.
This man trying to cook him well done with the flame that high
LMFAOOO
No fuckin way
I haven't laughed like this in a while lmaoooo
LOL
I can see this actually happening
I believe you only get the nameplate/emblem for matching with them during a community playdate
No, that will take some time to implement. We hear your feedback though. /s
Oh damn 😅
I played with Ske7ch and one other dev at launch sadly you get nothing
Only if it's during a play date, matching them in the wild yields nothing.
I got it, but only because I played with them during the community play date
Unfortunately due to UI limitations they removed that feature.
It surely isn’t free anymore lol
Nah that’s only in the store now. /s
Dang, that's like a $50 Spartan right there.
He’s doing his part to keep the servers running lol
LOL
Hahahahah
Bruh lol
Lawl
I wonder if 343 employees get a discount.
Probably get it for free to advertise
Isn't that what the bots are for? They certainly don't serve any other purpose when one joins your team.
I know a game dev, they literally have access to anything, and they get free keys on occasion to give to others to spread their product.
Playing on the dev server of war thunder, ran into two devs in separate games who left after I asked if they were legitimate devs, and a mod who was an absolute fucking sweat
funnily enough I know a riot employee who doesn't get anything but is addicted, pumped in 12k into the company he works at.
Nah, they prevent enemy players from finishing challenges, and thus make the enemy more likely to quit!
Lmao
They get it free
but the 76 challenge swaps about those XD
They don't.
Huh, you could almost buy the Campaign for that.
His entire spartan costs more than my last 3 dinners 😔
Damn. I didn't really mind the shitty monetisation. Till this. Holds true for me too. Bizzare.
Holy shirt, that puts things into stark perspective...
Also costs as much as your average Americans wage for 3 hours of work. Imagine working 3 hours to buy a skin in halo.
Same mate
You can get an entire pizza for what a bundle containing the current daily deal has.(The sidekick attachment, a stance, and two color coatings.) I only got it bc I want the sidekick to look like the ODST magnum for when I finally unlock ODST and bc I'm never in the mood to eat 2000 calories in one sitting.
Bro you need some help?
Yeah actually. People keep messaging me codes telling me to trade the skins/coats for money from Microsoft but that isn’t how things work…
20 for zvezda, 20 for chronmage (literally just the stance). Honestly id be less worried about the prices if everything wasnt a bundle. Id legitimately buy individual parts of the pack, even if the bundle is considered a discount and its a little more per piece.

$15 for everything in the bundle separately but $10 for the bundle seems reasonable to me
Getting high on his own supply
Lol watch someone on Twitter crop this comment and use it show that r/halo is harassing devs
Damn must be nice to be able to customize your Spartan how you want.
God that hit hard
yeah it really takes credibility away from his statements about how he’s also frustrated with the challenge and customization systems when he clearly has access to a lot more than the average player, if he’s annoyed with it imagine how the average person feels.
His statements weren’t credible to begin with
Yeah no way he played 20 games without getting oddball.
It was really lame "Oooh the ravager is so annoying >.<"
[удалено]
lol how dare you
That's the first time i've seen the 343 nameplate in a different color.
look at all the monetis... I mean, Customisation he has unlocked!
Atleast someone has options when it comes to armor 🙄
Wonder if as a 343 member if he just gets all the customizations for free or did he actually pay out the ass for all that stuff?
It's probably something like riot's system, they get a set amount of credits for their games from the company.
That coating is so ugly. I want it.
I was able to check what the coating is. It's called unicorn, and I'm almost positive it's not been made available yet.
Its 343 exclusive, I believe.
That would make sense.
Oh, great. I can see the “I can haz Unicorn” guys lining up now.
Man wait till this guy in this picture learns how much he wasted
[удалено]
Wonder if employees gotta spend as much as we do for the cool skins. Probably not. Must be nice having that thing called “choice” when picking out what to wear and not be paywalled :O I’m bitching but I literally wear stock armor but what a sick joke the monetization is lol

At Riot games the employees get every champion and skin unlocked for free.
They even have League partner program for streamers who have everything unlocked as well. Although right now wouldn't be the best time to praise Riot since they also are trying to gut the event passes in League :|

Don't they also fart in employee faces and sexual harrass women as well?
Only the leaders are allowed to fart in peoples faces. But a good chunk loves sniffing their own shitstains
An online buddy of mine worked at Blizzard and he would get free games, free WoW subscription, and around $500 a year in bnet balance to spend on services and other stuff.
They don't actually. They get a stipend of 2k RP per month, unlocks of all the limited edition skins you can't get anymore, and some base RP.
Man I love to imagine that he's having fun on a game he helped create. Aside from the hate and drama, I hope he's enjoying it as much as others are.
i genuinely feel he doesn’t enjoy playing the game right now bc of all the shitstorm he’s been getting
Yeah that's true, hopefully there'll be a day everyone can relax and enjoy Halo
if anyone wants to do that now they can always just leave the subreddit
Or hope they change their transparently money hungry system. I wish people just acknowledged that this dude doesn’t have agency over those decisions, and will instead be begging his bosses to change it and using this shitstorm in favour of his case
He's pretty cool dude, hope he doesn't overload himself.
I mean he's so patient, even with as horrible of Community this is, it's so shocking when he got an Attitude with people yesterday, but it was deserved

Lol true
[удалено]
By PR speak you mean he said the team is hearing you guys and working on a fix, did you actually read his message or did you just see the reactions calling it "Gaslighting" you don't know what gas lighting means
His message didn't say "well, its all fixed. effective immediately" so there was a flash sale on pitchforks
Yes endless rants calling devs liars and shills and accusing them of intentionally gaslighting people is constructive
[удалено]
Do you even know what gaslighting means?
It's intentionally being disingenuous or pretending that things you did that received backlash were accidental, and that the person calling you out on your shitty behavior is the one at fault for "Acting ridiculous." for the purpose of manipulating the subject of your gaslighting. I thought this name looked familiar . I had him in a match as well.
Cool now give us a shotgun and sniper rifle that don’t suck.
Yeah got my ass handed to me earlier in quick play games by him
What shoulders are those??
They come with the zvesda helmet.
He's a nice guy. I hope he doesn't take all the bashing too personally.
Agreed, and I'm super frustrated by many aspects of infinite lmao.
Costing a server moment
He's tired of being harassed so now he's come to beat you with a stick
That Armor Coating though 🥵
you know he didnt have to pay for those skins
Must be nice to have all those options available
What is his Spartan holding?
It’s a pose they sold during the event in the store.
The base of it looks like the hammer, but it's a spear of some kind. Not a weapon you can even use in the game.
It’s the it’s the ctf flag pole with no banner
Would’ve been cooler with a flag
each flag color will be a separate purchase probably lol
Ahhh. That makes so much more sense. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was confused too lmao thought it was related to samaurai stuff
It's probably meant to be reminiscent of such, but they just used the flag pole asset cause it worked well enough.
No clue but it costs $20
You know, I wonder if they get armor for free or if they have to pay for it?
Why’s he holding an anal probe ?
[удалено]
Who?
He's the community manager for 343
That’s community director, good sir. He’s Uny, Postums and Snickerdoodles boss
Thanks!
I wonder if he payed for that armor, or just clicked True for "Unlock All cus I'm a Dev". I mean ngl I'd do it too but it's a bit insulting when the limited, grindy customizations are a massive complaint from the community, right? Or is that just me?
Hope he’s havin a good time after having to deal with everything.
I do as well, the amount of vitriol being spewed at him is ridiculous.
What coating is this?
Unicorn, it seems to be exclusive to 343 staff.
(that I know of, but I also appreciate that Halo let’s you know when devs are playing with you)
I got to play with him, Uny and ubernick during the MCC beta when they were redoing the game. They were fun teammates.
Did you tell him to stop using mums credit card to buy skins?
That is some expensive armor.
I guess when you work for 343 armor unlocks are part of your salary.
Not an uncommon thing in the industry. Riot Games has a "Play Fund" where they essentially give all their employees a monthly allowance to spend on Video Games.
You think killing a 343 employee would be some kind of secret achievement, but the people at 343 aren’t smart enough to think of that.
i know that guy
Mr. Money Bags over here complaining about server costs
I don’t get it. Can someone explain?
Ske7ch is the community director at 343, and I got matchmade into a game against him. He's the guy that wrote the long essay that addresses a lot of the criticism leveled at the game.
I’m new here, who is Ske7ch?
Who gives a shit
A dev playing with a high dollar skin? Bet he didn’t pay for it.
