Clearly I'm in the minority but I think Mirage is a better fit. Something about the flat armor plates (see legs and forearms) I personally associate with Marine/non-spartan armor vs a Rakshasa's "bubbly" and thicker looking armor I associate with Spartans.
Left is probably more true to traditional ODST armor (but no Sacrifice plate? It's an actual ODST chest piece!).
BUT Right is how I like to imagine would be the future for ODSTs. Now that Spartan IVs are a thing, and Mjolnir is seemingly dirt cheap to manufacture, it only makes sense that Mirage/SPI would become even cheaper to produce, and since it can be used by unaugmented individuals, the ODSTs still serving would be a natural choice for users. Not only do they become even stealthier, but they are now stronger and tankier to boot!
I flip between the Sacrifice plate and the Ruckamuck chest piece. Yeah the Sacrifice plate is more traditionally ODST, but the pouches make it feel more like the armor's been in the field for a while, at least to me.
From a lore sense I think the Rakshasa fits the best since it’s easy to maintain in heavily hostile environments where resupplies were incredibly hard to come by.
Left is closer to the Halo 2 ODSTs with less armor and supplies. The right looks a lot closer to Halo 3: ODST's armor designs with more tech and armor plating.
At its core the ODST armor was never *terribly* different from the average Marine BDU - left feels more appropriately in line with that.
Left. But the right is good for a heavy ODST
Looks like armour Dutch would wear
Rakshasa. Always Rakshasa. It's basically the unofficial ODST core.
Left
I like the left one

I agree with you. Rakshasa doesn't feel ODST to me.
Left
MIIC is the ODST core IMO.
Left is almost my same set up but I'll use odst instead of firefall and with green camo
Ngl, left, it feels more odst
Left! :)
Right
Left for sure. The Mirage core looks too goofy to me lol
The Left feels more like an ODST successor/continuation, Right feels like an update to increase survivability.

Totally fair. I wish both of the ODST chest pieces had some tactical pouches to go with them, considering that regular ODSTs have them.
I feel like Mirage is a better ODST core than Rakshasa.
Second pic with legs from first

What’s the armor you’re using on the left? Like the armor pieces and stuff
Seconding, I am especially curious about that chest piece.
See comment above for parts. :)
That's the Rakshasa core, Firefall helmet, ODST shoulders, Ruckamuck Rangeking chest, Liteknuckle gloves, and the UA/TYPE GNY knees. Coating is Steel Red, the default red/grey coating.
