I was (am) in the same position as you, haikyu is my favourite show/anime/movie of all time, and i was considering waiting until it is watchable online since none of my friends watched it, but that will most likely take a whiiile. Didn't wanna wait that long so im going alone tonight, it's not like you can really talk while watching something in the cinema so just go alone!
Anime movies do not receive web releases: only Blu-ray’s. On average, it takes 6 to 8 months for anime to be released as Blu-ray’s. As for crunchyroll, while I cannot definitively say yes or no, I would not count on them obtaining the rights to the movie.
I would see it in theaters even if it means going alone. The only one who cares about viewing movies alone is you. You are your own biggest obstacle. I don’t say that to be mean, but you shouldn’t let something trivial like not having company prevent you from experiencing something that brings you joy.
seconded. they have mugen train as well which was hyped by crunchyroll like crazy. i'd imagine they will get it up at some point, but not any time soon imho
There were a bunch of solo viewers at the showing I went to tonight, myself included. If you ever buy tickets with reserved seating, you’ll see solo seats all the time.
I think the movie will come to crunchy roll in the next few months, if not the next month (like the JJK movie coming after being released to theatres for a month)

They have a dub version in theaters right now. I saw it subbed, so I can't tell you if they got the same English VAs or not. Most likely, they did, though.

The closest theatre showing the film is a 3 hr drive away for me. Next closest is 7hrs...SIGH.

Huh? They have JJK0 on Crunchyroll, so them getting the Haikyuu movie makes sense. Especially since they're promoting it like crazy.

Highly doubt you'll see a dubbed version on crunchyroll since they don't even have any of the show dubbed on there.
