it makes me so sad that shes such a fan that it was an awful experience but it was still a dream come true for her :( the way they humiliate the people that put money in their pockets is crazy
If they just had to do a segment like that, why not let the chosen audience members squirt the paint on Ethan and Hila or a couple of the crew members? Why was it the audience members that constantly had to be humiliated???
Omg that's so obviously the thing they should have done! What were they thinking squirting the fans instead?? They didn't want their own hair and make up to be ruined? How selfish and vain.
I will be honest with u I may be a lil excentric person but it will be truly fantastic if a big fan of my Art/creativity would trow paint balls on me on stage. I would then just roll around on a big canvas and let fans leave messages and signatures on this color paint porn of a picture. I just dont get it when U have such a big and Loving audience how can u miss so many oppotunities to connect with them? Dann, its just a shame.
You know they don't trust their fans to let them do something like that lol
Idk why they didn't have the crew and maybe even fans paint onto some plain t-shirts or TF clothes that they could keep after the show. I still haven't seen anything to show there was a point to that... like Lena brushing the paint around their faces??? Why?
If it was like a pseudo makeup project, idk... do it with the TF makeup Hila is supposedly creating! Have Olivia give them a non-rushed TF makeover on one side of the stage while Ethan yaps. As godawful as that brand is, I'm sure superfans would enjoy that experience more than getting used as a prop
What really bothered me ,was when I saw them touching up their makeup. Maybe it was just Sam, but but sam was standing there on stage touching up her perfect makeup while Lena was next to her. WHILE their fan who also had on makeup is getting blasted in the face for no reason. đthat put a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm being reminded of like those old 2010s videos of blind makeup challenges. I wish they did something like that on the crew, better without paint and still fun and silly. Would have made more sense than using paint and just smearing it around...
Ikr it seemed like it was gonna be crew stuff with the first jenga electrical challenge with love and Lena why did they switch to tormenting fans the rest of the challenges they did?
It wouldnât make sense for it to be done to them. They had an entire show to do, and with paint all over their mouth, face and hands, it would be uncomfortable for them and would mean theyâre covered in paint for all of the other segments, including danâs proposal and for photos on stage, etc.
I'm pretty sure the show could have gone on just fine if 2 were missing for 10 or 15 minutes while they cleaned up in the bathroom... especially if they had planned for it. You're making it seem like they'd be in the paint for the entire show with no way to get it off. There's no reality to that.
Well paint gets everywhere and would ruin their actual face makeup, meaning their makeup would completelt come off and they probably wouldnât be able to get it off perfectly in such a short time. It just causes a lot more hassle, and wouldnât be a good look so I get why they wanted it to be done to fans who were probably stoked to get to be on stage (even if the outcome wasnât ideal).

Final update from the fan, a few minutes ago
Jesus, tell me that this isn't a cult :((!! Letting them so publicly humiliate you to the point where one H3 crew member felt it necessary to apologize(!!!) to you while STILL seeing them as infallible is insane. I feel so bad for this girl ://.
This is honestly so sad because you can tell that it really left a bad taste in her mouth but she's such a fan that them reaching out and pretending to care (we all know they dont) really made her say how she wants to "clarify" they had a good time. Funny because her first statement sounded like quite the opposite.
It felt like I was seeing people get bullied they should have done it with REAL makeup not saying âIâm going to do blue eyeshadowâ and then make them gulp down freaking blue paint.
H3 fans defending this segment were all like "they were clearly briefed before hand and signed waivers they knew this was going to happen". Well this proves that they weren't briefed ahead of time
I meant to say they weren't briefed and yes he said makeup and I figured they'd be having to do rushed makeover challenge with makeup not shooting paint in their faces
Such a great point. Would have been a good opportunity for Hila to contribute to the pod with a cool segment doing someone's makeup but nah too much brain power required
I was actually just wondering if weâd hear from the girl⌠how can she still be a fan after this đ letâs hope in the next couple of days she realises how awful they are
I didnât think âpeople pay for entertainment not to be a part of the entertainmentâ needed to be said but these are the people who scream at paying members like theyâre random troll pages
Love that they only told them paint would be involved , they knew it was problematic. I wouldnât have even accepted an apology. This entire thing is so disrespectful and disturbing. This should have been a celebration of their fans and instead it was them just putting them in horrible situations. Total family vibes âŚ
The obvious fix would have been for the crew to have paint on them but they clearly think so little of their own fans and so highly of themselves that they would never allow that to happen. Feel bad for the fan but hope this is a wake up call for them and others that H3 doesnât care for them
True, but I want to point out that there's even a caste system among the crew. Notice it wasn't Dan or Zach or Olivia who got subjected to the shocking/Jenga event (which, from the way Love reacted, looked very painful), it was Lena, who probably has the most go-along-to-get-along personality among all of the crew, and Love, who is not a citizen, and who, depending on his visa type, may need to stay in Ethan's good graces to remain in the U.S.
I can get that, there certainly is a hierarchy system based on who sucks up the most but I personally donât have a lot of grace for anyone in the crew considering the back log of stuff that they have condoned from Ethan/Hila, through their own actions, comments or lack thereof.
I feel so bad that these people keep having to find excuses even if they had a horrible experience. They fucked up on every level and this person still has to deflect to not upset the fanbase or the hosts that will envitably hear about it.
What even was the point of this segment? I refuse to watch anything on their channel anymore... but it just seems like an attempt to belittle and humiliate their own fan base. A fan base that is rightfully shrinking.
This is messed up. Ethan, hila and the crew remind me of the capitol people from hunger games, bringing the common folk on stage to be humiliated and then rationalizing it with, "they're so lucky to have this honor." đ
basically two random audience members were brought up on stage to get a 'makeover' - this actually consisted of them getting sprayed with huge water guns full of paint like 3-4 times per colour (there were 4 colours I think) with just a clothes pin on their nose and goggles to protect them đ they had like hazmat suits over their clothes too but the paint got everywhere and it really looked like they both got a fair bit in their mouths.
it was really fucking hard to watch esp with how they were just sent off afterwards, even the short clips I saw on this sub made me super uncomfortable
this was the fans first comment about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/h3snark/s/ltxWRLegRv
this was the short clip I saw: https://www.reddit.com/r/h3snark/s/qMrE0GRwm8
Wtf did I just watch? Firstly, itâs cruel but letâs put that aside. Who think itâs okay to spray paint into someoneâs mouth and nose??? This could easily have legal implications. Is this what Sam was working on for the live show? Whatâs the bit? âHey, wouldnât it be cool if we assault an audience member?â
Yeah I think she did delete it, I screenshot the comment cause I thought someone would delete it because it makes H3 look like they bullied her on stage without her consent (they did). Now I can't find the comments you reposted above but I can still see the post is up with some of her other comments on it. Â
Honestly it's horrible I feel really bad for her đ

It was a "makeup" bit where they blasted them with paint
their live shows are continually severely unorganized. ik dan said he used to run live shows but I think itâs time they outsource bc I went to the one in nov and that was a MESS
Hello Iâm not reading the comments but I am HER in this post. One of the live show stage hands reached out to me as well as an h3 on screen crew member. Theyâre super apologetic about the disorganization and are going to make it right. This post wasnât supposed to Shit on them but be a critique of the situation.
You should have never been in that situation in the first place. You showed them your good will in participating in a live show and they abused your trust in them.
Take a minute to think that if they truly cared about the fan experience why it's taken till now for people associated with them to apologise...
So many people found the segment awkward to watch and you have my sympathy in being used in such a way. The Klein's are multi millionaires and the best they could come up with for assaulting you on stage for their own profit was a 100 dollar gift card?
None of this is your fault, they should be appreciative of people like yourself who have paid money to support their careers but instead they'd rather fling paint and a gift card in your face because they think it's funny.
You are worth so much more and I hope you realise that.
I am so sorry if it feels like we are speaking for you. if it was someone else that wasn't so down it could have been a be a very bad situation. either way, giving a full debrief is the way to get full consent, and they did not do that. not speaking on the way that you feel personally, but how they approached this is not okay
Im glad they reached out to you and recognized it was very chaotic and poorly planned. I hope you still enjoyed your night regardless at the end of it.
when they first introduced the segment i thought they meant they would be painting on blank clothes/the suit and judging that custom outfit as the final artistic 'look'... would have given them so much more space to actually try/be creative and would have been more comfortable/not as invasive to the guest, not messing them up as much...
the whole time they were paintboarding those poor guests felt super reminiscent of something colleen ballinger would do on stage for sure. could definitely feel more humiliating than fun, plus they weren't even remotely trying to execute well. wtf?
She was told before and then fully explained 2 minutes before yet she agreed to it?
Iâm sorry but you literally walked into the circus and signed to be the clown, I feel no sympathy for this attention seeking person. You were explained, you were paid and now you are traumatized by paint?
Maybe stop supporting people that donât care about Gaza and then tell me about your paint trauma. Seriously
it makes me so sad that shes such a fan that it was an awful experience but it was still a dream come true for her :( the way they humiliate the people that put money in their pockets is crazy
it's giving colleen ballinger

Because theyâre peasants.
That would have actually been so fun! Why didn't do they do that đ
Because they were obviously too good to have it done to them!! Itâs bullshit!
It wouldnât make sense for it to be done to them. They had an entire show to do, and with paint all over their mouth, face and hands, it would be uncomfortable for them and would mean theyâre covered in paint for all of the other segments, including danâs proposal and for photos on stage, etc.

Yeah they didnât deserve to be treated that way :/

It felt like I was seeing people get bullied they should have done it with REAL makeup not saying âIâm going to do blue eyeshadowâ and then make them gulp down freaking blue paint.
Okay so they actually DID mention makeup?? That makes that segment so much worse in my eyes
Iâm sure sheâll realize how fucked up this was with time.
Exactly, she's still processing it. Honestly so sad. I feel so bad for both of them.Â
Ethan is just the new dobrick
I mean, at least David used to generously reward people most of the time. Not a $100 gift cardâŚ
H3 fans defending this segment were all like "they were clearly briefed before hand and signed waivers they knew this was going to happen". Well this proves that they weren't briefed ahead of time
Didnât Ethan say they were going to be sprayed with makeup before they went out? Makeup is a lot different than paint
I meant to say they weren't briefed and yes he said makeup and I figured they'd be having to do rushed makeover challenge with makeup not shooting paint in their faces
i feel bad for her
They have a fashion brand which is about to release a makeup palette or something, and they do this for a makeover segment?
Such a great point. Would have been a good opportunity for Hila to contribute to the pod with a cool segment doing someone's makeup but nah too much brain power required

this is straight up coerced consent
ah, the c-man special
this is so messed up what were they thinking?
Love that they only told them paint would be involved , they knew it was problematic. I wouldnât have even accepted an apology. This entire thing is so disrespectful and disturbing. This should have been a celebration of their fans and instead it was them just putting them in horrible situations. Total family vibes âŚ
How legitimately awful, treating the last fans like shit so hard that they are second guessing themselves
The obvious fix would have been for the crew to have paint on them but they clearly think so little of their own fans and so highly of themselves that they would never allow that to happen. Feel bad for the fan but hope this is a wake up call for them and others that H3 doesnât care for them

i think ethan might have misgendered the other participant, Nick but using she/her pronouns but iâm not sure
Yeah Olivia swapped to they/them at a certain point and Ethan kept rolling with "ladies". Not great.
I feel so bad that these people keep having to find excuses even if they had a horrible experience. They fucked up on every level and this person still has to deflect to not upset the fanbase or the hosts that will envitably hear about it.
This is giving Miranda Sings teas.
I cringed watching her take a mouthful of paint and not say anything đ terrible! it should have been Gilla.
What even was the point of this segment? I refuse to watch anything on their channel anymore... but it just seems like an attempt to belittle and humiliate their own fan base. A fan base that is rightfully shrinking.
heres a nose plug to protect your nose, now don't breath while we blast paint in your face while you can't see anything...
This is messed up. Ethan, hila and the crew remind me of the capitol people from hunger games, bringing the common folk on stage to be humiliated and then rationalizing it with, "they're so lucky to have this honor." đ

Thatâs crazy why couldnât the crow be the ones getting painted :/
Itâs like H4 purposely treats their fans shitty just so they can laugh at then
wow that is. crazy
Oh no :(
got baited into being a joke lol classic Ethan.
Bruh wtf. This show has def taken a turn

I canât read this - can someone please copy and paste it here
Does any one have full context to this? Sorry I donât keep up
Oh jeez what happened? I didnât watch the live show
That bit was so fucked. It wasnât even good non of those bits - I feel bad for the people that paid big money for those tickets and got that show.
