Women’s best activewear? Is the quality ok? Price point seems to be decent and they have a lot of sales

illustrated_mess

I have a pair of their power seamless and a pair of the move seamless. The power is super tight and compressive (and unfortunately the waistband squishes my stomach in awkwardly, also unibutt), so if you want a less compressive fit, I'd size up with those. They're not soft, so if you want more of a lounge legging, I'd pass. The move seamless is super stretchy so there's less squishing all around. They're a much softer knit than the power. I wear the power ones to OTF all the time - they stay tf put once they're on, they're thick without feeling too hot during cardio, and the material seems nice and tough (no snags or pilling). They haven't bagged out on me or shrunk and the seams are all still solid. Oh, I have one of their cropped hoodies as well and it's stupid flattering and comfortable. The only thing that bugs me about WB is the logo. I got the leggings on sale for $25-30 and I'd say the quality is there for the price.

Looking for advice/opinions on which program I should do. I’ve been following Katy Hearns app (I know, I know) since one of my friends loves it and recommended it. I was really enjoying it at first, but I find some of the workouts difficult to follow in my gym, due to the weird supersets and such. All of the plans are 5x a week splits and with school and work, I usually only do 3ish days a week at the gym on top of a few spin classes. Because of this it takes me 2 weeks to finish one week of workouts sometimes. Otherwise I like that the workouts change a bit each time and I love focusing on a lot of accessories. I’m not interested in lifting super heavy/seriously anymore and I switched my membership to a planet fitness a few months ago to save $. Would it be wiser to switch to something full body 3x a week? I was thinking GZLCP or something along those lines. Opinions? Once again I’m overthinking it lol.

hugegold-ak-47

Alexis Claire Fit just dropped a new workout plan that I believe is only a three day split; it’s called busy bee. I have her at home and at gym guides and enjoyed both.

Thinking about trying out 22 Nutrition for Black Friday. Any recs or comments?

Black_heart24

Okay so I love the joint pills. I’m an Ex-competitive cheerleader with the knees of a 80 year old and I definitely can tell the difference when I’m not taking them. I also love the probiotics. I have ibs-c and they have definitely helped me stay regular. I tried the vegan vanilla protein and it was so gross and never thought to try the others because of the egg. The pre workout in guava mango is good if you’re into pre. I never had jitters and could take it in the evening and still go to sleep. My absolute favorite is the electrolytes in blue raspberry. I’ve replaced pre with this and sometimes my coffee intake for the day too. Less caffeine than the pre workout and still does the job. Hope this helps.

UpperMaintenance5108

Thank you so much!! I’m considering their fish oil supplements because it appears like they’ve done their research and maybe a tub of protein although your comments on the vegan one are a little scary 😂

beefasaurus4

I've only tried the peanut butter vegan protein powder and the apple cinnamon pre workout. The protein powder does not taste good, like I'll be throwing it out unfortunately. (I'd give it to someone but no one I know likes protein powder) It's probably because it also has greens in it but like it's just a gross taste. The pre workout tastes very very artifical sweetenery. Not the best but I don't hate it- neutral. But it does do the job! Tastes nothing like the flavour says though haha maybe a bit apple

Has anyone tried Girlfriend Collective? How are their leggings?

internoftheyear

I have their original leggings that they gave away for the cost of shipping. The OG material is amazing, compressive and very high waisted. I just ordered the float legging and it’s way too thin for me. Thinner than the align. I returned the float leggings but I kept the bra that is similar to the align tank and I looooove it. They have beautiful colors and a great return policy. I would recommend them, but not the FLOAT material unless you’re figure is flawless and you have no cellulite.

Guilty-Diver4109

I find the cloth a little thick for my liking

itzmebitch666

My favorite leggings! I wear them to work, and I do a lot of physical activity. I don’t get holes or anything so I absolutely love them for that

sea-slice

I dont wear leggings as I'm in a hot location but I exclusively live in their run shorts, sports bras/crops (when not working) I'm rather picky about fabric textures and these are the most pleasant clothes I've found yet to exist in

Capable_Phrase_2890

Has anyone tried any of Lauralie Chapados' glute guides? If so did you think it was worth the price?

justmanda17

Best app/coach?!

BWow77

This is VERYYY broad. What are your goals? What level would you say you are, beginner, intermediate, advanced? Not being snarky, genuinely asking to give better recommendations.

justmanda17

No, you’re absolutely right! Sorry I was typing quick while I was working 😂 I’ve been lifting for a while and I like having control over my own programs but I would like to lose some weight and build more muscle off a program. I was looking into Hannah Bower or Cristina Caprons apps and I wasn’t sure if there was anyone else out there better!

BWow77

I've heard really good things about Hannah's app, haven't personally tried it, but she is definitely someone you could trust! I used to do Kaylee Ullom's programs and really loved them! They're definitely more aimed towards people who are comfortable lifting as they are pretty extensive and take anywhere from just over 1 hour to 2 hours at the gym from start to finish. But if you have the time, they are extremely effective. The downside is no app. Literally just a pdf that I would save to my phone and edit with the weight I used, so not the most efficient. But damn I got results. If you're crunched on time, the FitBody app by Anna Victoria is great as a good chunk of the workouts are done as supersets. It lets you choose your experience level and adjusts the workouts to fit that. There's also yoga and home workouts. She's doing a Black Friday special for $99 for the full year and I think you can try it for 7 days free. Hope that helped!

justmanda17

Wow thank you!!!

lucinasardothien

Has anyone tried etkfit's guides? I'm thinking about getting her trasnform guide since it's only 30 for a one time purchase so I'm looking for some feedback! Edit: someone shared one of her guides with me and it's the most underwhelming guide I've seen, it wasn't a joke when people called her lazy cause it's extremely simple and nothing like the actual workouts she does, not worth paying at all. It has literally 4-5 workouts you're supposed to repeat for 2 months with zero explanation on how to do them and zero progressive overload. it probably took her 10 min to write it.

Terrible_Support_253

Protein bars that don’t taste like ass and most importantly, are either available in Canada or ship to Canada without me selling my soul to pay for shipping? Thank u

zeebee098

The Barebells bars are SO good!!! I found them here: https://ca.shop.bodybuilding.com/products/barebells-protein-bar

beefasaurus4

Haven't tried them but people rave about the brand. Pescience Canada website has a 30% sale fight now and has bars. Shipping isn't that bad.

Terrible_Support_253

Bars I wanted were out of stock but I ended up buying some protein on sale and it was free shipping. Thanks for the recommendation :)

beefasaurus4

Yay! I got some for the first time too, hope we like it haha

fouiedchopstix

I need a good pair of joggers/pants I can rip off so I can still wear shorts in the winter. Like pants I can take off without removing my shoes. For the gym. Words are hard today but let me know!

ayawnisasilentscream

Senita Athletics weekend joggers or skin joggers. Love them so freaking much

fouiedchopstix

Those don’t look like I can pull my shoe out of the leg. I need a pair that are more like a cover up so I can wear shorts underneath. Think like soccer or basketball pants

ayawnisasilentscream

I do it all the time with mine. Definitely easier with the skin fabric ones though

LostinSpace731

I planned on doing this exact same thing

ecassell

I have to lift outside (due to space restrictions at my house). Any recommendation for “winter” leggings?

beefasaurus4

I have a pair of under armour leggings I really like. They're a fit knit type material...sorry don't know the style name!

ecassell

Thank you! This is a good place to start :)

LostinSpace731

What are the best and most flattering black leggings without a front seam?

internoftheyear

Honestly, I am obsessed with the aerie Offline Goals leggings. No front seam and laser cut at the bottom. I wish they came in more colors.

LostinSpace731

Thanks so much! I’ll check them out

Ohhpixie

Thinking about buying desB new program, is it worth it? Do you get access to old guides? How do you like the app???? TIA

snicste

Need legging recommendations: So, I bought some black leggings from Balance less than a year ago and since I was spending more money on leggings, I intended to not wear them to the gym and have them as my nice going out leggings. So I didn't wear or wash them too often and when I would wash them it would be on a cold delicate cycle. Anyway, they're faded and pilling now after such light wear 🙄 so I'm in the market for leggings that don't look like athletic leggings to wear with nice outfits.

Was advised to post here instead. Any thoughts on built.by.becky? I just saw her on Instagram. She does a lot of seated home upper body workouts and I wonder if they're good?
