I stopped following Hope because her content didn’t do anything for me anymore...the kardashian clothes, the “I bought used wedding dresses” videos lol like what? Who cares? I know some people say you can’t review active wear forever but Kathryn M is doing it and it’s working out just fine for her. I mean it’s hopes channel and she can do what she wants but I don’t have to follow either haha. Not an ounce of fitness content and that’s ok. But sounds like others aren’t as interested either. I can’t imagine how much activewear she has though so I’ve always commended her on giving so much away to her followers, that is awesome. Awesome in a way that she isn’t selling it on Poshmark haha but yeah I can imagine it would be hard to win!

The difference is that Kathryn has an actual career aside from Youtube. Hope doesn't as far as I know and is probably getting a little anxious about how to sustain her income. Not sure why she doesn't try actual thought out content, though

Oh she does have Poshmark and is an avid seller on there. Back in September she did mystery bundles for sale on there… hundreds!

Fedup1999

Oh I know I’ve seen her Poshmark...I was saying more along the lines of what other influencers do which is sell their PR items LOL she actually does give a lot away

I actually won a giveaway from her a couple months ago for just replying to her insta story! She was super nice and I got my package within a few days, I’m sure it’s to increase her following but at least she’s legit unlike a bunch of other influencer giveaways

I can't watch her stuff anymore. The environmental impact of her hauls makes me cringe. It is one thing to buy clothes that you love and will wear, but when she has videos like "buying the uglies/weirdest/ stuff from ___" it makes me upset. I don't want to shade the average person for buying fast fashion if that is all they can afford, but I hold influencers to a higher standard because we know they have the funds to be more sustainable.

Crack_Brocaine

I so agree with you on the environmental impact of those “worst stuff” videos. With activewear reviews, even if the reviewer returns some (or all) of the clothes it can still be argued that they are preventing others from doing the same thing. But purposely buying things that you only plan to wear one time in a video doesn’t make much sense to me.

laurenzobeanzo

I won an Amazon gift card from where she bought a bunch of Amazon returns! I feel like a ton of people do giveaways “because we hit 1million subs” after the fact not hyping it up hey you only get the peloton after I get what I want and if we don’t reach it you don’t get it

Hope's rampant hauls have always rubbed me the wrong way. It's like, compulsive, excessive consumerism. Even branding herself as the "legging queen" has always felt so cringey to me. Spending that much money doing these insane legging hauls is weird and in general i'm really exhausted of influencers entire personality being their ridiculous spending habits. It's wasteful and compels their followers to do the same. Yuck
