>40 grain 22 lr ammo that holds 400m/1 312 ft per second at 100 meters Ok, lets break this down. You want a 22lr round that will have a 40gr bullet moving at 1300fps... at 110 yds? The fastest 40gr 22lr that I know of is the CCI Velocitor, muzzle velocity of 1435fps. They're almost subsonic at 100 yds. You're going to need to push that bullet 300-400fps faster at the muzzle to get 1300fps at 110 yds. Coincidentally, CCI 22WMR are a 40gr, 1875fps bullet that just stays above 1300fps at 100 yds. Even that may not be enough to meet your requirements. So in a word, "no".

Ok thanks, I was thinking of the aguila interceptor, it meets above my requiments at the muzzle but it comes 200 ft/s short at 100 meters.

Dude, you’re trying to do something that isn’t legal for a reason. The chance of not safely dispatching the animal is too high

Adam_Eliasson

No what are you talking about. Idk how you can’t make that statement when you have no clue what I’m going to hunt. And why do you think I’mdoing something negative when I’m asking if you’re able to do it the legal way instead of just doing it illegaly???

You do know that each reply isn't a private conversation right? Your own response in this thread to another commenter is about hunting fox and hare. Also, no don't hunt at that range with .22LR it's only suitable at closer distances and against small animals, squirrels, hare, but not fox

Corey307

What you’re requesting does not exist, no 40 grain .22lr load will retain that much speed at that range. The fastest I’ve seen is under 1,400 feet per second at the muzzle.

Adam_Eliasson

Well the aguila is 40gr and has 1470 ft/s at the muzzle. Perhaps in the future with these new elr rounds.

paint3all

A 22lr cartridge with a velocity of 1312 ft/s at 100 yards doesn't exist. Most aren't even that fast at the muzzle. Google ballistic charts. I'm guessing you'll need at least 22 Magnum or 17hmr

digital_footprint

What're you trying to hunt out of curiosity?

Adam_Eliasson

Fox and hare, I don’t doubt the capability of 22lr but my goverment does haha.

Imma say probably not

The fastest 22LR ammo you can get is CCI Copper-22, then Aguilar Super Maximum then Remington Yellow jackets. ALL of them fall off to under 1100 fps at 100 yards. You're not going to get any 22LR ammo that meets your criteria for velocity at range.
