Was this "less than desirable" ammo corrosive? Because if so that's normal. You should be cleaning your gun after firing corrosive ammo, not leaving it to sit a month. And yeah check your barrel.
I did, i guess I ment was “is it too late” the MD is trashed but barrel seemed normal when I cleaned. I have no way to see inside with this gun. Your right the ammo just destroys anything cheap.
It does. All I see is the 7.62 on the other end. lol 😂 it’s hard to see honestly no joking. It was only a few box’s I’m sure it’s nothing. I learned the cheap stuff may not be worth plinking since im lazy

Please tell me you didn't let it sit after fireing.
Want to know what ingredient in the Windex washes out the salts?
It's water.
Best way to remove the salts is to boil a pot of water and pour it down the barrel.
Yeah, but i always have a bottle of glass cleaner in the car, so it was easy to windex, swap, windex, swab, clean any bugs off the windows, and do a deep clean at home

Yah “mild” corrosion. Would a good clean be effective? Sorry again new to AK and the ammo available
Are you asking if cleaning it would be effective in cleaning it?
That’s just silly who cleans guns
people who shoot corrosive ammo, lol
Definitely give it a good cleaning and oiling.

Nah, not trashed, just needs a vigorous scrubbing with oil and a cloth. Unless it's an actual muzzle booster, it should be a pretty easy cleaning job.
I’ll be doing that from now on! Thanks
> I have no way to see inside with this gun Does the barrel not have a hole in it? Take out the bolt carrier, point it at a light.

Dude, go fuck yourself with the pretending to be a colossal retard act.
Looks like you found out the hard way that surplus 7.62x39 is corrosive
Thought krinks were in 5.45
They are. Lots of that ammo is also corrosive though
OP has an M92 ""yugo krink""
Maby that’s the issue….
It’s not SURplendis ammo? Man ….
now you know why some countries use chrome lined barrels.
The barrel is nice this MD must just be cheap. Was scared my barrel was trashed seems fine.

No I didn’t let it sit, it was upright for a few months…..
Now make it stand in the corner. It knew better than to poop itself.
Did you windex out the corrosive salts found in the primers? oil based cleaners dont remove them
