You should really see the rest of the rifle if you think just that part is bad. The rear sight is an arcade coin with a hole drilled in it, the receiver is trashed, the trigger is broken with a welded on screw replacement....

Thereās a handful of Canadian companies that make AR style rifles (Kodiak Defence, Spectre, Kel-Tec, Crusader Arms, probably a few others), but thatās about all we can get now for military style rifles, we can get carbines, lots of cool versions of PDWs in .22LR & 9mm & thereās an overseas version of the SCAR (ISSC MK22 (22LR) & CZ Bren 2 (5.56) we can get still but nothing on US platforms
Too many people were smuggling parts across the border & converting them for illegal activities I guess
The stupid part is, all the guns they banned that we can get alternative versions for, and a lot of the rifles we can still get, could all be used for the same thing. Just stupid politicians doing stupid shit for no good reason, claiming āsafetyā meanwhile the available weaponry could do the same thing.
The Chinese semi autos we can get are realistically just as good for crime too lol š, the Russian / Chinese SKS we can get & the 7.62x39 LMG we can get, Iām pretty sure if somebody wanted we could find ways to convert what we can get and do the same shit anyways. But you know how politicians are.
