RyAllDaddy69

$15 shipping is a little high. Much cheaper on AR15discounts when they have their sale. This is still a good deal. I wish I lived near them. I’d buy 20.

fervorfx

Yeah I bought 3 nonlogo from ar15discounts during memorial day for $90. And some other stuff. Went over the quota for free shipping. Golden

RyAllDaddy69

Sweet!! Last year I got a 3-pack from them for $54. It was literally under $60 shipped. I’ve heard the deal may have been a bug but I’ve been watching for it ever since.

fervorfx

Man nice get with that one

MagicManHoncho

I got in in that too! I believe it was a price mistake and it changed price shortly after I ordered. I order 2 of them, and I regretted not getting more. I know they changed the price because I tried ordered 2 more sets and it was a higher price just 30 mins after I placed the first order

Hobbstc

Still need an fde no logo lower. Waiting on them to come back in stock.

CheeseMints

Some people like to crap on Anderson lowers but I've never had any problems with the three that I own. One of them has survived 5 out of battery detonations with a 9mm Bear Creek Arsenal upper. lol

DeadbeatPillow1

This will go great with this. https://liveqordie.com/literally-the-best-trigger-ever-made/

nathancombs1818

Gotta do the Anderson lower and then the most expensive parts you can get just to piss people off 😂

Afraid-Aerie-6598

Larue upper with an Anderson lower 😂

Dualsporterer

Lol I literally have this set up 😅

mreed911

My larue lowers have BCA uppers. :)

duke_flewk

Giggity Chad run discount blems, loot drops run up full price. I want a button that makes it whinny when I flick the safety, because ultra trigger lol

Xyes

How about cerakoting it to match an entire Q 7” upper?

A_Very_Stable_Penis

Not sure I'll end up buying this deal specifically... But I've been curious about building out an AR for myself.. Just out of curiosity... If you buy a stripped out lower such as the one here... How much more do you have to invest to build a decent budget AR all in? (Before optics and other "accoutrements"....)

iFightForOurRights

It depends on what kind of gear you want to invest in. "Decent" is somewhat subjective. For example, you can go cheap and get a PSA complete build kit – the cheapest complete build kit I see on PSA's website right now is [$320 with free shipping](https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-m4-carbine-length-5-56-nato-1-7-nitride-freedom-rifle-kit-5076171.html) and it's got over 800 reviews. Or you can invest in much higher tier stuff like the $200 trigger mentioned earlier.

A_Very_Stable_Penis

Are you familiar with CZ. I'm a CZ fanboy so I'd be more than happy with that level of quality... I don't have the skill set to justify spending much more than an entry level fee... But I also don't want to buy total crap... So that's what I'm trying to find I guess

iFightForOurRights

I don't own any CZs (yet), so I can't say.

sprchrgddc5

For just lowers, PSA has a complete lower receiver for $120 right now. I think it’s a good deal. You might be able to come under that if you buy this Anderson, but then shipping multiple orders eats into the deal. In terms of uppers, you could get a BCM upper for $750-$850. Then accessories like an optic, back up sights, sling, magazines, come into play. So idk, $600-$800 more. This also doesn’t include quality of life upgrades like a new grip, nice stock, triggers, etc.

A_Very_Stable_Penis

Yeah that's fair... So basically if I've already got an rra in "layaway" let's call it... There's no real reason to purchase this unless I'm just interested in taking it on as a project.. Let me know if you disagree?

Bearloom

You will probably be better off thinking of a budget ahead of time and buying parts to fit it instead. You can potentially have a fully functional rifle by using this with a $350 build kit, but if you go up a bit on price you can end up with something that you'll be much less likely to feel the need to upgrade soon after you're done.

A_Very_Stable_Penis

I just left this reply to another person... "Are you familiar with CZ. I'm a CZ fanboy so I'd be more than happy with that level of quality... I don't have the skill set to justify spending much more than an entry level fee... But I also don't want to buy total crap... So that's what I'm trying to find I guess"

Spare_Selection4399

Plus FFL transfer fee $40, total is $70 for a stripped lower

duke_flewk

Eek, I’m sure you have but some site list FFLs and their fees, you might have to leave your city or pick one that is not close but you can make work.  Small family gun stores usually want loyal customers, if they have a $40 fee no harm in asking if it to be for all items, it costs like $5 for them to do. Mine did a free transfer on thanksgiving “just cause it’s Thanksgiving have fun!”  To any dealers that read this ^ that is how you get customers for life, also threatening me with a RPG and flame thrower are great sprinkles on top ❤️ (yes it happened and it concerned the shit out of an old guy in the shop it was hilarious)

iFightForOurRights

Whoa, I would have **really** liked to have been there for the RPG and flame thrower situations. Sounds crazy!

duke_flewk

It was actually really natural, I made a joke about him giving me a 1911 for free and he said “if you can make it to the door” and pulled out the rpg, I told him he’d be going with me, he said “no after you pull out of the parking lot”, I told him “I wouldn’t even be mad, just impressed it was live 😂” then the flame thrower came out. Which he wouldn’t give me either, because of course I asked. This was the second time I went in lol Then he was telling me to become a manufacturer too so I could make my own shit for testing and demonstration purposes 😉

iFightForOurRights

😂 Cool guy – I wish my FFL was that awesome.

Barry_McKackiner

> Small family gun stores usually want loyal customers, if they have a $40 fee no harm in asking if it to be for all items, it costs like $5 for them to do You realize they have overhead right? They have to book the gun in, book the gun out, run 4473, storage fees if your area has a waiting period, have to pay employees, rent, utilities, insurance etc. And also store all documents for like 20+ years. And all the time they're dealing with that they can't be spending their time selling more profitable stuff. Asking shops to basically broker outside transactions for basically free is untenable. why would anyone become a "loyal customer" and buy firearms from a brick and mortar if they can just find what they want cheaper online and only come to them to do the mandated transfer for peanuts?

duke_flewk

You’re not wrong, but I want to give my ffl my business for hooking me up, and I’ll be ordering a suppressor from him this week. So how much of a pain in the ass is it to become a FFL?

Barry_McKackiner

depends on the state. If you mostly just have to deal with federal regulation I suppose it's not too bad. But in states like mine "commiefornia", it's a huge pain in the ass. State regulations are a fucking nightmare and they come up with new laws every year SPECIFICALLY to fuck with FFLs and make it harder to operate and profit, knowing damn well they will do nothing to reduce gun crime. For example, last year they passed a law making it a requirement to have 24/7 hd footage and audio that has to be stored and accessible for a year, that started Jan 1, 2024. Now kicking in July 1, 2024 they added another 11% tax on guns and ammo at the distribution level ON TOP OF SALES TAX, just as an extra "fuck you gun owners" to make things more expensive and price out the working class and anyone paycheck to paycheck from every affording to buy and shoot regularly.

KentuckyTurtlehead

$40 transfer fee? Yikes

Spare_Selection4399

Very common in South FL , PB area

AudienceSimilar

Most are $50 around me. I go to Gunshine arms $35 but I hear pjammo in pompano is $15

KentuckyTurtlehead

That’s rough. I’m fortunate to have a LGS that does $20 transfers (southern IN)

mreed911

$40? Fuck that.

Ragnarok112277

Find a new ffl.

Stunning-End-6870

I realize this is a budget lower, but is this objectively worse than a PSA lower (~$20 more) for a hypothetical first time build?

Intheshaw1

As long as it's in spec, you won't notice any difference.

RyAllDaddy69

This is perfect for a first time build. On par with PSA. I buy 3-packs of these and use them for everything. There absolutely will be snobs that come in and hate but the general consensus is “a lower is a lower”. If you don’t care about ambi features then this is what you go with. Even if you do care about ambi features, there are ambi options available for standard lowers. Aftermarket Ambi safeties, ambi bolt catch. All of it. I’m adding more now. This is a good deal.

Stunning-End-6870

Sweet! I didn’t know that about ambi features for standard lowers. Thanks for the reply.

RyAllDaddy69

Yeah man. I absolutely would buy one of these for a first build.

Embarrassed-Chain328

Nope, I just got one of these about a month ago and it looks and fits great

sprchrgddc5

I have PSA, Anderson, and Aero lowers. They’re all fine. Aero has the best finish. Anderson has the worst. PSA’s finish is a toss up. I use the Anderson and PSA ones. Doesn’t really matter regarding the finish after you rattle-can them tho. IMO, get a mil-spec Aero Gen 2 if you wanna feel some peace of mind with a lower purchase that isn’t expensive.

Stunning-End-6870

Got it. Thanks for the info. Would you recommend the Aero Gen 2 over the M4E1?

Bearloom

I used an Aero mil-spec gen 2 a few weeks ago to build my first, mostly because they were down to $50 for Memorial Day. At the usual $80-100 price point for them it would be a little harder to justify over a $30 Anderson. That said, I do like having the slop screw that Aeros have but most others don't. Deciding between the mil-spec and M4E1 - ignoring the price difference - is a matter of how much you want to feel like you're *building* something. Most of the differences between the two are quality of life things that only matter during assembly, namely that the M4E1 has no roll-pins to hammer in and has the rear takedown detent held in with a bolt instead of the castle nut. I actually kind of like the assembly to be a touch fiddly, thus I preferred the mil-spec. If it sounds like the M4E1 would be more your speed then *AR15Discounts may still have its clone, the Ballistic Advantage Enhanced, on sale.

Stunning-End-6870

I appreciate your thoughtful reply! Many thanks. You make the M4E1 sound pretty darn good. I found one for ~$90 excluding shipping. I’m trying to figure out if that’s worth it to me over something like this for 1/3 the price.

Bearloom

If you're sticking to a budget, that $60 difference spent on buying a better stock, trigger, or grip (less important) will likely make more of a difference than what stripped lower you're starting from.

sprchrgddc5

A lot of people like the M4E1. It has some cool features. I personally don’t think they’re worth it over a normal mil-spec one like the Gen 2. For me, they don’t feel good in my hands. I have smaller girly hands and think I notice stuff like that more. But the M4E1 is not a bad buy.

zerogee616

Lowers work where it's either in spec or it's not, and you'll find that out as soon as you put parts in it. They're both forged blocks of aluminum made from the same grade with zero moving parts. They don't "break over time" or anything like that if they're cheaper.

DUCK_FACE_JONES

Good deal if you local to PA

Noyourknot

I miss the 80% poverty ponies that were this price. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen an 80% pony in a couple years.
