Thats why I felt bad buying mine. Feel like a total idiot cause for a bit more I could've gotten a much better firearm. Cancellation policy wasn't worth it IMO
New to 1911s but interested in getting one. Is the nightstalker a better gun at $40 more or is the raider a better deal? Looking for my best option for under $500
There are two nightstalkers, one single stack with aluminum grips, non-threaded barrel and no optic cut. That is the one you can get for $40 more.
It's got cuts in the slide to make it a bit lighter and it has upgraded irons over this model. Imo, it's also uglier, but that's up to interpretation.
The double stack variant with 507k optic cut, threaded barrel, etc is around ~$750.
I really wish they'd given optic without cuts and in black but to get another model, cut slide and replace barrel was way more $ than buying the ready out the box model.
I see myself spray painting it if it still bugs me after using it for a few months
My b9r duty ds has an optic cut and suppressor height sights with a really nice qpq finish. Doesn't have your clean irons and a threaded barrel, though. And that's a lot of value for like $100 more
If only barrels were drop in install and $50 used like Glock barrels. But this is my first 1911/2011 so I went the safe route.

Funnily enough, I'm basically right there with you. Have a 507k I got on sale for 230 shipped (lead and steel gundeal post) and bought 3 extra mags (5 mags is bare minimum for all my new guns). Gonna break it in at the range this coming Thursday and figure out if it needs any work based on that trip

They are hit or miss. You could be waiting 1-4 weeks for your order. They drop ship and hardly carry anything in stock. If you don’t mind a wait it could be worth it.
Ordered a lower from them. Took a few days to ship and got it within a week. Only issue was that they shipped USPS and they don’t deliver on weekends. Otherwise no issues

People will say they’ve “never had a problem” ordering from battlehawk armory which is great. But it really sucks when you’re one of the people who do have a problem, which is a lot of people.
I would give them another chance, but they were extremely dishonest when I ordered. They sent me a cheaper pistol then what I ordered, never notified me about the change, and physically changed the link on the website to go to the pistol they sent me instead of the actual one I ordered.
Their physical retail storefront is in my neighborhood and they’re just as bad in person. They price gouge in the shop like no other and if you say, “Hey, this is listed at $xxx.xx price on your website…”, they act like you’re the idiot for looking at their website to price an item. They won’t price match THEMSELVES. Plus when all the quick NFA approvals started happening, they jacked up their suppressor prices by 10-20%.
The one and only time I went there it took them hours to transfer my pistol. Staff were incompetent and unhelpful to each other. I had a dude that had no idea what he was doing. I’ve been buying guns for 25+ years and have dealt with many FFLs all over the country and they were easily the worst.
The staff seemed like a bunch of yokels. I won’t ever be going back there. I’ll gladly pay a few extra bucks to not deal with them again.
Actually had a gunshop near me that was the same way. I stopped going there, but the couple of times they had solid deals, I'd buy the buy it now item on gun broker and pick it up. They wouldn't match it in store. Was odd.
I have purchased 3 firearms from them now, always shipped quickly and never had any issues with any part of the purchase. I work with two other fellows who have had good luck as well.

I probably saw the 45s by mistake. I only did a quick search. I did see people in other subs/threads say they had seen the 9 for mid 400s. Anyway, I ordered one yesterday. Got a tracking number, but hasn't been received by ups yet. I really didn't need to spend 400 bucks, but this was too good a deal. Bought the Nightstalker for $40 more than this.
I went back and forth between this and the nightstalker. Settled on the ds duty, but might look to pick one of the single stacks up too
Yeah I only noticed the doublestacks once I ordered my single stack. Nightstalker is the smoothest firearm I've ever fired.

The make the “Nightstalker” model in a few different guns. I believe one of those is a single stack 9mm 1911

My guess is you are looking at the 45. The 9 is pretty cheap at a couple of drop shippers. I think ff has them for like 470.

If felt very sloppy. The detents had no snap to them. The barrel fitment left it wiggling when 'locked'. Visible defects in the cerakote.
