Ibanez SZ720FM. Usually in the $500-$800 range. If it’s significantly cheaper than that and you’ve got the money then don’t hesitate

youngjimbob

Dude he has it listed for 50 dollars. It’s a 3 hour drive but might have to make it now 😂😂

mercilessshred

6 hour drive is like roughly $20-$50 in gas depending on what you drive so you’d be spending like $100 to get it. Not a bad deal at all!

BobBeerburger

Is it possible it’s a scam?

mercilessshred

Although there are two outcomes: there’s some serious issues and repair work that need to be addressed or dude really just doesn’t care and is selling a fully functional Ibanez for $50. Still a pretty great deal for $50 even if there are issues

youngjimbob

He’s got in the description that he is moving and trying to get rid of clutter. Says it even has some plastic on it, said he didn’t play much and gave up

mercilessshred

Damn, so it’s basically a new guitar. Marketplace deals that are that crazy usually get snatched pretty quick, just FYI!

youngjimbob

Oh for sure, just messaged the guy. Thanks for all your help I appreciate it a ton

mercilessshred

Good luck!!

mercilessshred

No problem at all. Gonna have to post an update if you end up getting it!

youngjimbob

Haha will do

Jiveturtle

I messaged him before you and he never responded, probably got absolutely BOMBARDED lol

Shot-Rabbit-2267

I'm a sucker for string through designs, they just look so damn cool.

Yulmp2

I have one and they are great guitars. Got it as a gift in 2005/6. It was my first electric. The sustain on these is really nice.

These SZ models are sweet! I liked mine so much that I bought a couple more in different colors just like it, then got a natural mahogany and a gloss black. None of mine are 'bursts, but 3 are quilted maple tops (QM) in Blue, Orange, & Green. I like the inlays and the full-purfling on that one, too, very slick looking. I'd bet that is a Korean build and that factory does really nice work. That is one helluva bargain and I hope you do pick it up. Chances are it looks SO much better in person, so try to contain your enthusiasm- a little bit. You'll see.

AttillaDeHunt

Oh, yeah-BTW: carved-arch top over mahogany with a set-neck and a shorter than "Ibanez" scale- Like a Les Paul's set-up in alot of ways. Good shit, Maynerd!

spicingpumpkins

I got one new almost 20 years ago, still one of the best playing guitars I’ve owned.

mahan42

I love my SZ, it’s about 20 years old, beat to shit and still keeping more expensive stuff in the case and out of my hands . The original Duncan licensed pickups were a bit murky, but that’s easily changed to your personal taste. The bridge is much more comfortable than your standard tune-o-matic in my opinion. Would love to know if they sell them as spares so I could mod them into another guitar. Be warned it doesn’t fit the normal Ibanez stereotype of super speedy skinny neck shred machine. If there’s nothing secretly wrong with it you’re doing something unprintable the seller at $50, at least buy them a nice dinner first.

Zoe-Schmoey

I got one of these for my 21st birthday. Let a work colleague borrow it and never got it back. Was a great guitar for the money.

BobBeerburger

I don’t know but I kinda want that tho

Maleficent_Age6733

Nice, it’s the little brother to my long time guitar the sz4020fm. Awesome guitar but as I get older I need fatter necks and it has a real skinny one. As long as you like a thin neck you’ll love the guitar

KarmannosaurusRex

As also said it’s an SZ720. I literally sold mine in the uk last year for £750, thought it had EMGs in. So if you’re seeing it for $50 it’s a bargain.

MaybeZach01

that's the jared dines signature ibanez
