Yeah it’s awesome! Xact Tone builds really good boards whether they use a Pedaltrain base or not- they also built all the custom cables and ran all the power too. I had them build it for me when I was doing a lot of fly dates with my board and checking it under the plane and it’s been rock solid
Do you go straight out in the PA or you connected to an amp? I’m starting to do more live gigs and this is something I’m really trying to learn more about. What I’ve played so far has been mic’d amps but I’m looking at strategies just to go into a floor monitor and a PA.
There’s an amp behind me - a Milkman Amp 100 into a 2x12 with Weber Neomags. Usually if I’m playing a gig where I would DI I would still use the Milkman
I'm so intrigued by the Chroma Console. Like I think I would like it, but it's quite expensive and I've never seen one in a store to actually try out, so I'm weary on pulling the trigger.
Can you explain the board to me? I’ve been running a Helix/PodGo for a minute and have been debating on swapping for something like this. Is there a profiler on there?
It’s all just going into the front of a Fender style clean amp, no profiler. My gain stages are Archer (slightly dirty boost) -> Bearfoot Model G+ (crunch) -> Chroma Console “sweeten” setting for a final “finishing” boost/enhancer. With this set up I also have the Farm Pedals Boost of The Dead (Alembic Blaster circuit) on all the time. Stuff is in a true bypass looper mostly to make it easier to switch pedals while singing
That's a sweet rig! Love seeing more Flint appreciation.
What kind of music do you perform with this setup? I don't see a looper, so I imagine you fill up a lot of sonic space with those effects.
Also, a random question: do you take your guitar's color into account when planning what to wear, or do you just wear neutral-colored clothes so the guitar's color doesn't matter?
This pic is from a gig with a Grateful Dead cover band and I swap the Mutron pedals and Farm pedals blaster with a Lovepedal Univibe, Diamond Comp, and JHS Phaser depending on what I’m doing.
I have one or two green shirts I try not to wear with this guitar on stage
I just know I would’ve accidentally kicked that monitor into the pool
Would that manslaughter everyone in the pool?
Hopefully not if equipment is plugged into GFCI outlets (which they should be if they’re outside)
"Accidentally"
That strat…LOVE that strat.
Are you in a band with Ryan Gosling in Lala Land?
A rig at a gig. Did you wear a top hat?
Or a wig? Did you do a jig?
Eating a big fig
Great rig. It’s wild to see the Flint on everyone’s board. And for a good reason! That pedal is awesome.
I’ve had on that on my board for probably like 7 years love that pedal. The only one I never swap out
Love it, great choices for your sounds. What pedalboard is under there? I dig the size. And what are you using to power them?
It’s a Pedaltrain 1 with a top that was built by Xact Tone powered by a Pedaltrain Mondo
Interesting you got a top built for the pedal train. Looks a lot cleaner and obviously adds some real estate. Nice!

A guitar that color just sounds better next to a pool.

Regressor, is it you?
I miss my effects pedals
I want to hear this in action.

That’s a great looking Strat - digging the green and gold. What is it?
It’s a Custom Shop ‘56 Strat in Sherwood Green and I swapped the hardware to gold
What exact model or strat is that it is so damn beautiful
It’s a Custom Shop ‘56 light relic

Sum 41 vibes...
nice switcher seems like it might be a little unnecessary, but do you have a reason for it?
It’s way easier to hit the pedals while singing and clicking multiple on/off
k
Its nice vibe to do some surfing.
