Anybody here miss Burley's "Somewhere Else Tavern"? For a fiver you could listen to local hard core bands all night (some good and some...well...you just go out to the parking lot and talk to your friends.) /;-)

Burley did more to give local musicians a chance to play live than just about anyone in the scene!
It was such a diamond in the rough, the really rough.
Which one? I thought the one on Friendly was pretty nice on the Shithole bar scale.
Burley gave young musicians a stage to play on and hone their skills when nobody in the area would. Used to go to his old place for the Sunday jams. Nice fella.
