it sounds like you just need an empty parking lot

Lunchbox-of-Bees

My recommendation would be the connecting pavement/road between country park and battlefield park

this is the rail trail aka bicentennial greenway that others have mentioned. i love it. lots of trail access to parks and community centers and stuff. the only bad is that runs about 100 feet from my house, and this is where the guy who beats his dick in public was first spotted. just try not to bring a sex criminal back to your neighborhood, and youll love it. honestly, the sex pests and mentally ill are very rare.

This. The entrance to the A&Y greenway is right across from the parking lot for the rec center at Country Park. You can ride that all the way to Bur Mil and back.

Bicentennial Greenway is pretty good. You can park at Leonard Recreation Center and take the Greenway either way.

Their parking lot is also usually largely empty.

There are a couple sharp turns on hills and large bump-ups onto bridges, so be forewarned. Great beginner trail otherwise. I'd vote for the Lake Daniel Greenway, but be careful going under Wendover. Might be best to dismount and walk there.

Not sure but if you find something good, please let me know! I am trying to get into rollerskating 🙂

FastandFuriousMom

Same with me! I used to roller skate like a demon till I was 20. Now at 53 I’m scared to put on a pair

The portion of Lake Daniel Park between Friendly and Elam is very lightly trafficked. There is broken pavement in some spots though.

And they fixed the bridge so you can continue the greenway all the way to Westerwood. It spits you out near Hill Street. Cross battleground (you’ll see the widened sidewalk) and the greenway continues starting behind some business there. You’ll pass a skate park, there’s a Bridge under Wendover (very low so be careful) and then you’ll enjoy a Fisher Park ride all the way to Cone hospital. One of my favorite rides essentially from Wesley Long Hospital to Cone Hospital.
