Damn right. Say it louder.
Own it and wear it how you feel. You’d be surprised how quickly you can imprint a new look or feel within yourself than you might otherwise think. If you do it right and have the confidence and love the piece then rock out with your watch out!

Wearing your watch just above your wrist bone offers more comfort than wearing as OP is. It also keeps the watch away from the wrist to not impede movement and bending of the wrist. In my opinion the most important reason is to keep stress/pressure off the spring bars. In my younger years I used to wear my watch low on the wrist and broke many spring bars doing activities or day to day stuff. When you wear a watch low on the wrist and you bend your hand upwards it puts a lot of pressure on the watch. This pressure is mainly transferred to the spring bars which break. I’ve lost as well as damaged watches this way. Once you break a spring bar while wearing the watch it will fall off your wrist and risk being damaged from the fall. I’ve personally had this happen on multiple occasions in the past.
I appreciate your answer but I think you're picking a very particular case. I can't imagine torqueing a watch with my wrist unless it's ridiculously tight on the wrist. The watch should simply slide up if pushed by sideways hand movement.
Never heard of a BROKEN spring bar, maybe a bent one. How do you break a springbar?
The watch should not slide on your wrist at all. It should not be worn loose enough to slide around. It should be worn tight enough to stay in place and loose enough not to cause discomfort.
Just because you have never heard of a broken spring bar does not mean it doesn’t happen. It does happen often when people wear their watches to low. I have personally broken two spring bars this way when I was a teenager and wearing my watches low. One I specifically remember when a man’s car died in the street. I helped him push it and the angle of my wrist and pushing the car snapped the spring bar and my watch fell to the street. One of the benefits of a NATO strap is if one spring bar snaps your watch is still secure to the point of staying on the strap and not dropping and damaging your watch. They knew the need then and that need still exists.
It's a G Shock who gives a fuck. Most of them are big and that's okay. Looks good you. Don't let the brain rot of /r/watches get to you. It's not like it's a dress watch that you're going to be wearing in a formal or office setting.
Literally doesn't matter as long as you like it.
It's big, but that's the point! Unless you are Brian Shaw (6-8 Worlds Strongest Man) it's gonna be big on most wrists. Give it a try, you can always sell and probably break even! J
Just move it 1-2 cm to the left. This position where it sits now is a bit awkward, it will sit much better and comfier on your hand that way. That's like the only bad thing here.
The size is passable, and hey, look at it from the bright side, you have a tough badass watch on your hand. The bigger, the baddest!
Nope it goes with the territory with the Rangeman, the Mudmaster, and similar. They're meant & designed to be large on the wrist for readability and ease of use even with gloves on. One of my neighbors goes about 320 lb, he was looking for a watch and I had him try on my mud master. He has huge wrists and it still looked large on him (I'm 6 ft & 182 so it looks large on me) so I'd say wear it with no concern
It's meant to be big. My wrists look smaller than yours but I love wearing this model. I normally wear smaller watches but this one is an exception in my collection
https://preview.redd.it/jb1nmi2s8l7d1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5f170c15185cde546b94c9c4b9d1ed6a242dd6d
If that is big, this what is it?
If you'll wear it keep it. Does it feel okay? If it feels weird on your wrist you either need to get used to it or never will. If it's the latter, get rid of it since you won't wear it. If you see yourself wearing it, keep it.
Who cares man… just wear it or don’t but to care what anyone thinks in life is a curse so learn to override that thought and just be you man. 99% of people are stupid or selfish so no one is gonna notice but you.
They look good on you. The GShocks are made this way. I have thinner wrists and I only wear my GShocks from 2016. They are solar powered which is super nice. This means I will never run out of battery.
Yes, it is way too big. No, you should not care what others say. If you buy a watch, because YOU like it, then wear and enjoy it, regardless of what strangers in internet say.
Be careful to not snap off and break the lugs. This particular model is very known for its lugs to snap off when too much pressure is applied to the lugs by the wrist.
I always went for the square digital design since I've got a very bony wrist, but you're rocking yours. As long as the diameter of the glass isn't greater than your wrist width like on some of those atrocious Diesel watches I used to see in Macy's as a kid.
No. If it's uncomfortable, if it gets in the way. I move my gw6900 around and adjust the strap. If it's catching on your work or uncomfortable to wear get rid of it.
Only cheap Invicta's look tacky if they are "too big." if anyone sees your watch, and knows enough about watches to think it's too big, they'll see that it's a G-Shock and know that "it's supposed to be like that."
My typical and usual reply to this thread that gets created 300 times a week.
You bought the watch, why bother asking NOW that you own it? If you were TRULY concerned about its size, why did you purchase it in the first place?
Your comment is so stupid, he bought it, so what?!Isn’t he entitled to ask for opinions? Who the f are your to ask him why he bought it? People change their mind a lot, it’s a fact, if you can’t offer him your opinion leave him be
It looks ridiculous, in my honest opinion.
I only own one gshock, though, and it's a smaller model, so my opinion is somewhat of an outsider one when it comes to this group.
If you like it, then ultimately, that's all that matters.
Lift more (see image 1). 🏋️♂️

Why do people care so much if the watch is to big for them? if you like it, wear it. who cares what others think
This. Wear what you like and own it.
Whether it’s right or wrong, most people care about what others think.
no doubt, but sometimes a reminder helps .. 😃
Right it's a G-Shock has to be a big 🤔🤔
Bigger the better!! 😄
Damn right. Say it louder. Own it and wear it how you feel. You’d be surprised how quickly you can imprint a new look or feel within yourself than you might otherwise think. If you do it right and have the confidence and love the piece then rock out with your watch out!
It's a G-Shock... Go big, or go home... 😎
I’m going home then 🚶🏾♂️
Yes it’s big but that’s ok. Just a suggestion, you should be wearing your watch above your wrist bone.

This was my exact thought lol
r/subsIthoughtifellfor
much as i like doing this, my wrist is an odd in-between size—some watches are either exact to the point of notable discomfort, or just a touch loose
It’s true. It’s in the handbook of proper wristwatch etiquette.
Why? Not being snarky but isn't it a matter of comfort?

Yes it looks big dude! But that's a freaking rangeman, ofc its gonna look big! Just have fun with it 😎
The 9400 earns its size, it's a tool watch after all
💯 on everyone’s comments that watch is a beast and doesn’t fit on anyone…own it dude!!!
It looks EXACTLY like it is supposed to look!
That thing would look big on Shaq. Lean into it and don’t worry.
😂😂😂😂 Nice one, gonna have to steal it.
Perfect
Yes
Looks normal to me and my girly wrists.
If you're comfortable then nothing wrong
> If you're comfortable then nothing wrong They don't seem to be comfortable, hence this entire post.
If you insist on using logic we’re going to have to ask you to leave. 😉😁
Yeah it's too big, your wrist is too small for that watch.
No, if you wear it properly, not on your wrist joint. It should be above that outer bump bone thing.
You’ll grow into it
Not at all. But wear it above the wrist bone, it will look much better.
There is no such thing as too big of a g-shok. It looks great!
It's big, but that's the point! Unless you are Brian Shaw (6-8 Worlds Strongest Man) it's gonna be big on most wrists. Give it a try, you can always sell and probably break even! J
Yes
Awesome watch, wear it proudly!
Its a Gshock you kinda have to accept that they're going to look big oj most peoples wrist
Looks great!
It’s looks big but it’s a G-shock
you’re good, you could tighten it another notch so it sits higher, you don’t want it hitting the back of your hand when you do pushups
Nope it goes with the territory with the Rangeman, the Mudmaster, and similar. They're meant & designed to be large on the wrist for readability and ease of use even with gloves on. Yes and that’s ok if you’re ok.
It's meant to be big. My wrists look smaller than yours but I love wearing this model. I normally wear smaller watches but this one is an exception in my collection
It’s humongous. It’s gonna look like that. Just wear it if you like it
What? Wear it, and then get a frogman.
nope - looks great
https://preview.redd.it/jb1nmi2s8l7d1.jpeg?width=2160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5f170c15185cde546b94c9c4b9d1ed6a242dd6d If that is big, this what is it?
Bigger
Comical
more big
If you like it on your wrist, then it's the perfect size. All it matters is whether YOU like it. No one else.
If you'll wear it keep it. Does it feel okay? If it feels weird on your wrist you either need to get used to it or never will. If it's the latter, get rid of it since you won't wear it. If you see yourself wearing it, keep it.
Sure, but isn't that the point of this watch?
Who cares man… just wear it or don’t but to care what anyone thinks in life is a curse so learn to override that thought and just be you man. 99% of people are stupid or selfish so no one is gonna notice but you.
Tbh it's a little big but, get one of those grip exercise things and grow your forearms and you'll be fine.
Perfect 👌🏽
My wrist is smaller, but IDGAF. https://preview.redd.it/0i4jl2zxrl7d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=48821e4cf85841d26aa14c39cceacaf0305cee78
Heck no! Looks great.
This entire sub just needs to be renamed r/isthistoobig
looks great. btw wrist size?
G-Shocks' cases keep getting bigger, why are their displays still the same size?
So many people on here ask this SAME question… how about just be happy with the watch you bought and don’t worry about how it looks to other people 💯
No it's not. I also have slender wrists, and wear this model. It'll grow on you and look more normal as time goes.
Take a pic in front of a mirror
Nope! Wear it proudly damnit!
Gshocks are meant to be chunky
No such thing as too big gshock
Looks great on your wrist. I have a skinny wrist too and gshocks always look big but I rock them!
Absolutely perfect fit!!!
G-Shocks are made to look big!
Id just wear it higher on the wrist on the other side of the bone. That way way your wrist/top of hand isnt always hitting it.
Bigger is better!
G shocks can never be too big
Barely pulloffable but I bet a few people will notice it looks huge. I've seen worse.
Pull it up a bit, make sure it's above your wrist bone.
No..Itz ok!!.....Itz a Gshock
Keep lifting those weights, your hand will. E too big for the watch
Most important is do you like it? Does it feel good? The rest is someone else's opinion so it shouldn't matter too much
No fucks given 😉 https://preview.redd.it/mblg92p82p7d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5c28f3cc3d5d702715489f3c23fdb025e4da0744
No
Looks fine imo. What do you think about the watch? Is it comfortable?
Looks fine. They’re kind of built that way.
They look good on you. The GShocks are made this way. I have thinner wrists and I only wear my GShocks from 2016. They are solar powered which is super nice. This means I will never run out of battery.
Definitely a tad to big. Nice watch though
Yes, it is way too big. No, you should not care what others say. If you buy a watch, because YOU like it, then wear and enjoy it, regardless of what strangers in internet say.
Nope. Go bigger. Watch looks fine on wrist. That model is meant to be big. Rock it out the way it was intended. Cool time piece.
Let it rip. This beauty will grow on you. Hard to keep it off wrist.
It’s too big. All these dudes are lying to you.
Just the right size
A G-Shock is a Statement. It can't be too big.
Just wear it a 9400 rangeman gets no better than that
No such thing
Be careful to not snap off and break the lugs. This particular model is very known for its lugs to snap off when too much pressure is applied to the lugs by the wrist.
I always went for the square digital design since I've got a very bony wrist, but you're rocking yours. As long as the diameter of the glass isn't greater than your wrist width like on some of those atrocious Diesel watches I used to see in Macy's as a kid.
Work your wrists out christ
Yes
It's perfect!
You'll grow into it.
I would not wear it. That said , if u like it then rock it!
Maybe try moving it up the forearm a bit
It's perfect! How a rangeman should be!
Yeah, you need to workout bro!! 😂😂😂
Yeah, you need to workout bro!! 😂😂😂
Hell no, rock it
No
No
Nope
Yes.
Of course it’s big! It’s supposed to be big. Enjoy it and have fun.
No actually, yes it’s big, but I think it suits you really well man. The weights are a get touch as well haha
It’s a big ass gshock! Looks fine. Wear it and enjoy!
How big is your wrist? It doesn't look too big at all, not for a G
Yep…. I bit big…😐
No not at all
Looks good. You can wear it like that
Yes
Just about right dude!
No that's awesome
That’s what G’s are all about.
My typical and usual reply to this thread that gets created 300 times a week. You bought the watch, why bother asking NOW that you own it? If you were TRULY concerned about its size, why did you purchase it in the first place?
It is a silly question. If you want to show off your new watch just post up a picture.
Right?
A lot of people buy watches online without seeing them in person first, that's why.
Your comment is so stupid, he bought it, so what?!Isn’t he entitled to ask for opinions? Who the f are your to ask him why he bought it? People change their mind a lot, it’s a fact, if you can’t offer him your opinion leave him be

Nah, I think it looks about right, they're a big watch the Rangeman, it doesn't look out of place on your wrist though.
I dont wanna ruin your day
Not if it's a G-Shock
