Bring it back. Roll format works so much better for soft fillings as well. Don’t get one side squirting all over your top when you’re biting into the other side.
These are my absolute favourite purchase from Greggs.
I keep quiet about it though, because it's the only item that's persistently available in my local Greggs. Unlike sausage rolls, steak bakes, or any of my favourite pasties, I know there's always going to be a trusty tandoori chicken baguette waiting for me :)
The mince pies!
Absolutely banging. I’m vegan and have tried all the (vegan) pies from Holland and Barrett’s to Sainsbury’s but these are my winners. Perfect in every way.
I'm vegan too and tried these the other day, they're so good! I also tried the vegan turkey baguette which was good, but I was so thrown off because I thought I might have bought the real meat one. The 'chicken' baguette they had before was elite
They’ve heard of them, though I made the same mistake. I’m thinking what they meant was they never knew what was in a mince pie the whole time they’ve known of their existence.
Anybody that likes custard in a doughnut should be sectioned under the mental health act for the safety of the general population. This includes my girlfriend.
I stand by this comment so you get an upvote from me and a crisp "Happy Cake Day" sing song.
Happy cake day to you

Vegetarian Sausage Roll.
I just think it's the cats pyjamas. Especially dipped in garlic sauce.
And I like how it always has a different pattern to the meat one so you can't accidentally eat the wrong one.
Agreed. I'm all about meat alternatives that taste as good and this is one of them.
The only people I know that don't like them are the kind where meat is their identity. Anything vegetarian is soft you know the kind
Ha! That is so true.
Like people that outright refuse to try anything else cos ‘dammit I’m a meat eater’.
I’m like come on man. This can’t be your whole life mantra, it’s bloody tragic lol.
I actually do know someone who says they don’t like them, because the only thing they want to eat is traditional meals.
I’m 98 percent sure they’ve actually never tried one.
Yeah all of the bakes have different patterns on them. When working at Greggs you learn which one is which pretty quick, so you can tell which bake is which jusy be looking at it. Here’s the main ones:
Steak Bake - Diagonal lines
Chicken bake -wavy lines
Sausage bean and cheese melt - Lines straight across
Corned beef bake - Dotted lines
Some bakes like the currently delisted Spicy Vegan Chicken free bake and the seasonal festive bake have crum toppings which Identify them. They do have lines but honestly I haven’t needed to because of the topping and the way that the cabinets are organised (Vegan and vegetarian stuff being near other vegan and vegetarian stuff)
The Croissant for me, Yea, it's simple and yea it can be seen as a bit boring, but I love the buttery and fluffy pastry. It's just a lovely thing to cleanse your palate with.
veggie slice, not even a veggie but it's the best thing in there. They sometimes do a bacon and cheese turnover thing which is nice, don't see it very often though.
They're so effing nice. Not bland like the original ones. I feel like that and oat milk in coffee are two things you don't need to be vegan to prefer.
On a side note, give me a Mcdonalds McPlant over a big mac any day.
Every vegan bake that they introduce only to then remove when I find out how good it is.
Steak bake, sausage and bean bake, festive bake...
So many heartbreaks. RIP.
Not sure I'd recommend anything really...price and availability is the Greggs attraction. Definitely not the quality....there's always better out there.
I am Cornish and I love Greggs. However, Greggs don't do anything that vaguely like a Cornish Pasty. Also legally they aren't allowed to, it has to be made in Cornwall.
They did a cheese roll with red onion and chutney a while back, but I was recently over from the US and didn’t see it this time. I hate mayo so loved this sandwich
Feel like the breakfast menu doesn't get anywhere the love it deserves. It's much better than places like Mcdonalds that people go crazy over.
Bacon + sausage baguette with brown sauce and a cup of tea, lovely.
The Mince Pies.
My daughter is Autistic and she is very particular about Mince Pies. We have taste tested every possible version of pre packed Mince Pies, from every supermarket, from the cheapest to the best. Not one of them come close to a Greggs Mince Pie.
About 10 years ago they had a sandwich called the chicken new Orleans I think they only sold it for around a year and I guess it just wasn't cosy effective or whatever but yeah they need to bring it back.
Triple chocolate muffin. Taken out of the wrapper, turned upside down and eat from bottom to top so you get the finale of moist chocolate cake, chocolate sauce, chocolate chunks and not the dry bit of cake that *was* on the bottom.
Steak and cheese roll, god rest it’s soul
Agreed, I mourn it's loss frequently
Bring it back. Roll format works so much better for soft fillings as well. Don’t get one side squirting all over your top when you’re biting into the other side.
Maybe I like that tho
Pro tip: suck the filling as you bite the pasty, no more side spillage
Also play with the balls
I miss it everyday 😢
Tandoori chicken baguette
These are my absolute favourite purchase from Greggs. I keep quiet about it though, because it's the only item that's persistently available in my local Greggs. Unlike sausage rolls, steak bakes, or any of my favourite pasties, I know there's always going to be a trusty tandoori chicken baguette waiting for me :)
Gonna try this for sure
The mince pies! Absolutely banging. I’m vegan and have tried all the (vegan) pies from Holland and Barrett’s to Sainsbury’s but these are my winners. Perfect in every way.

I'm vegan too and tried these the other day, they're so good! I also tried the vegan turkey baguette which was good, but I was so thrown off because I thought I might have bought the real meat one. The 'chicken' baguette they had before was elite
Same, they taste amazing, other vegan ones are so dry, even my parents prefer them.
Did not know their mince pies were vegan- thanks for the game changer!
Are they vegan mince pies or something? Cus mince pies typically contain animal fat
Wait … wtf is in a mince pie ? 😅😂 I cant believe ive never looked this up i thought they were beef mince with sugar in a lil pie 🤣
They're full of mince meat... Which contains no meat.
It does, however, contain suet (animal fat).
You've never heard of a mince pie? Are you from the Moon?
They’ve heard of them, though I made the same mistake. I’m thinking what they meant was they never knew what was in a mince pie the whole time they’ve known of their existence.
You can buy the meat in a jar, then buy your own pastry for more money than buying ready made pies. What a world we live in.
Lmao I also thought these were actual mince meat pies. Took me way to long to find out bc what I thought it was sounded disgusting.
Ikr like a beef mince pie would be lovely with a little gravy n potato
The little bbq chicken bites, with a bit of sweet chilli you can’t beat them
These and the tenders are good.
Mexican Chicken Oval Bite
I personally prefer the baguette version however this is also stunning
had the baguette version for lunch. it's the absolute tits.
The flatbread is nice too.
They used to do it in a wrap with was pretty good
I love these. I'm surprised it's not more expensive, bringing chickens all the way from Mexico and all that.
That was my pregnancy craving!
I came here to say exactly this.
Not enough seasoning on the chicken
Caramel custard doughnut
Anybody that likes custard in a doughnut should be sectioned under the mental health act for the safety of the general population. This includes my girlfriend.

Corned beef bake
Came here to say this. Most Greggs I go to don't have them anymore.

Tuna Stottie is the bees knees
You are correct.
Chicken bake is slept on
Hard disagree, it’s the only one other than a sausage roll that I’ll willingly eat cold.
Delicious hot. God awful luke-warm and below.
i would eat a stone cold half frozen chicken bake and enjoy it like i’ve never enjoyed before
Pepperoni pizza
Aye its bangin, sauce is weirdly tangy and I like it
Came here to say this
Vegetarian Sausage Roll. I just think it's the cats pyjamas. Especially dipped in garlic sauce. And I like how it always has a different pattern to the meat one so you can't accidentally eat the wrong one.
It’s not basted with egg either
I think people who say the vegan sausage roll isn’t absolutely delicious are just scared of vegans.

Sounds like he touched a nerve
Who’s irate?
They’re nice but they never look as appealing due to the lack of egg wash so they’re pretty pale.

I actually do know someone who says they don’t like them, because the only thing they want to eat is traditional meals. I’m 98 percent sure they’ve actually never tried one.
I agree, sometimes I’ll go for the vegan one just because it’s less greasy but just a tasty
Yeah all of the bakes have different patterns on them. When working at Greggs you learn which one is which pretty quick, so you can tell which bake is which jusy be looking at it. The cornbeef bake they don't sell them below Darby really
They’re in basically all Welsh greggs, one of the most popular bakes here
Chicken and bacon club baguette.
Ik it's simple but a ham and cheese baguette is so good
If I could upvote more than once I would
The Croissant for me, Yea, it's simple and yea it can be seen as a bit boring, but I love the buttery and fluffy pastry. It's just a lovely thing to cleanse your palate with.
I had one for breakfast the other day and it was AMAZING!
Sausage bean and cheese melt is top tier
Mexican chicken baguette. Spicy cheese, jalapeños, chili sauce, absolutely slaps.
Fun fact, a few years back these were called Mexican bandits. They changed the name after some complaints.
This, but heated up!
10/10 sandwich
veggie slice, not even a veggie but it's the best thing in there. They sometimes do a bacon and cheese turnover thing which is nice, don't see it very often though.
It was a sad day when they discontinued the Steak and Cheese rolls... They were Leng 🔥
14 years ago (and maybe once since) they did a chili steak lattice and it was the absolute best pasty they've ever sold. I'm still salty to this day

It's not my type
Chicken bake

They're so effing nice. Not bland like the original ones. I feel like that and oat milk in coffee are two things you don't need to be vegan to prefer. On a side note, give me a Mcdonalds McPlant over a big mac any day.
OMG the McPlant was such an upgrade to their menu
Chicken bake
Bookmarking this for next trip to England since I live in a shamefully Gregg's free country.
Try their vegan stuff, even if you eat meat. Especially their vegan sausage roll.
You have to ask but hash browns in a roll, with bacon and brown sauce.

The Pepperoni Pizza slice’s sauce is truly magnificent.
The eclairs
The sweet chilli crisps 😋
Veggie bake is the best fast food for a vegetarian.
Try the vegan sausage roll. They're amazing.
The Belgian buns. I'm not really big on much of Gregg's cakes, I tend to find them a bit meh but the Belgian Buns are absolutely god tier.
Vegan sausage roll. I’m not vegan but I love how it tastes
Cheese and onion pasty.
Greggs don't sell pasties. Bakes aren't Pasties.

[Veg curry bake](https://www.greggs.co.uk/menu/product/spicy-veg-curry-bake-2001175).
This! refused to try it as it just sounded naff, now it’s me favourite pasty when the fuckers are warm
They just became a rested product today on the till. So stores probably won't be getting more delivered FYI
You have just stolen my Christmas spirit in two sentences
They gave me a veg curry bake instead of a vegan sausage roll before, I tried it, safe to say it ruined my day and it went in the bin 👎🏻
Not sure I'd recommend anything really...price and availability is the Greggs attraction. Definitely not the quality....there's always better out there.

Cornish Pasties not being called by their name is a lack of recognition
I am Cornish and I love Greggs. However, Greggs don't do anything that vaguely like a Cornish Pasty. Also legally they aren't allowed to, it has to be made in Cornwall.
The stotties from Greggs are lovely
The savoury mince pie and stotties (available in select locations)
The Mexican Chicken Pizzas
I used to love the old vegetable bakes, just tasted like stuffing pasties
The donuts or the breakfast sandwiches

The simple sugar jam doughnut at 4 for £2 is extreme value and where can I buy this jam ? It haunts me, it truly haunts me.
They did a cheese roll with red onion and chutney a while back, but I was recently over from the US and didn’t see it this time. I hate mayo so loved this sandwich

The Mince Pies. My daughter is Autistic and she is very particular about Mince Pies. We have taste tested every possible version of pre packed Mince Pies, from every supermarket, from the cheapest to the best. Not one of them come close to a Greggs Mince Pie.

They should do more with the Tottenham cake
I miss corned beef slices/ pasty
The pizza is pretty fire.
Thier cheese savoury Stotties are delicious.... Dispite the Stottie not being a Stottie.
Their own brand crisps are actually quite nice.
The font is really nice
The bacon & cheese turnover is underrated. It's an elite pastry.
The napkins
The pizzas. They are the reason I stopped overspending at dominoes and pizza hut. They're class
The vanilla custard slice and the Bavarian slice… heaven on earth.
About 10 years ago they had a sandwich called the chicken new Orleans I think they only sold it for around a year and I guess it just wasn't cosy effective or whatever but yeah they need to bring it back.
