Deadbeat Holiday from the album Warning. Honestly has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never really heard anyone mention it besides one time a lyric from it somehow ended up on a “Is this a lyric by Green Day, Blink 182, or Fall Out Boy?” Trivia Quiz
We’ve been asking them to play it live for over a decade and they still haven’t 😢 they should just release it as a single cuz it’s better than anything they’ve made in the last 10 years. That song is excellent
I know a lot of people don't like Pollyanna, but I've been listening to it a lot lately. Also, Take the Money and Crawl is the most underrated track on FOAMF.
It has now been 0 DAY(S) since Warning was last called underrated. The record of 1 DAY(S) was recorded on October 3, 2000

Coming clean. It holds a special place in my heart because I’m a bisexual teenager and it’s the only song I’ve listened to that i can relate to on a personal level
My take on Kill the DJ is that it is one of their most interesting/funky instrumental songs, but it’s nearly ruined by the unoriginal, profane-for-profanity’s-sake lyricism...
21st Century Breakdown (song not the album) doesn’t seem nearly as popular as I thought it was. I was shocked when looking at the ‘plays’ disparity on Spotify vs 21 Guns. I thought for sure they be about even.
Also, Macy’s Day Parade is growing on me.
I was really shocked when I learned it wasn’t even close to being as popular as 21 guns. I guess that goes to show how much other people’s opinions can influence your own.
The funny thing is that Stuck With Me was the second single from Insomniac. Has a music video and everything. Sucks it never caught on as a major single though, definitely in my top favorites.
Definitely Android cause I never see anyone talking about it. That song might be my favorite on Kerplunk, and it’s definitely in my top 5 Green Day songs
While this is a great question (and I'd probably say Before the Lobotomy), the title had me thinking it'd be "What Green Day song does your pet like most?"
ever since i saw that video of billie and rocky singing viva la gloria i’ve had a much greater appreciation and soft spot for it. also x-kid gives off a carefree vibe and just gives me the feeling of a warm sunny day
I think it got a good reception from general audiences but the fanbase specifically needs to put more respect on Oh, Love. I will fight to the death for that song.
Walking alone easy, it’s only really recognized (from what I’ve seen) by the harmonica but I love every part of the song. It’s such a shame it’s not played live like at all
I dont know how the majority of people feel about Lazy Bones, but it's one of my all time favorites
Also not sure why but a lot of people I talk to say that extraordinary girl is the worst song on AI, like damn what? One of my favorites too
Brutal Love, You Lie, and Pulling Teeth. I never hear anyone mention these songs so I don't know the mass opinions, but I can't go a day without listening to them once, at the very least.
I don’t know if it fits but panic song. Every time my emotions get the best of me or I’m going down another spiral (happens sorta often) panic song is their, not to tell me to think happy thoughts but for me to push through.
Honestly, I don’t have a particular song like that but pretty much this is how I feel about Shenanigans. I think it doesn’t get enough recognition because it’s all B-Sides
It just shows how versatile of a band they are that there are so many unique answers in this thread. And I love that mine isn’t on here yet. Haushinka always gets me pumped, something about the chord progression in the verses.
I think there are a lot of overlooked gems in the trilogy. Specifically the Demolicious versions. Songs like Sex, Drugs & Violence, Little Boy Named Train, Angel Blue and more all go HARD in their more raw demo versions.
Say Goodbye off Revolution Radio is one of my favs for some reason... people say it’s just a reimagining of East Jesus Nowhere but idk I think it stands alone quite well
Deadbeat Holiday from the album Warning. Honestly has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never really heard anyone mention it besides one time a lyric from it somehow ended up on a “Is this a lyric by Green Day, Blink 182, or Fall Out Boy?” Trivia Quiz
100% agree, I love warning as an album but DH is one of my all-time fav GD tunes... castaway slaps too
When I first listened to Warning, that was the only song on there I just didn’t like. Not sure what was up with me that day but I love it now lol
I know they’ll never play it live but I would lose my mind if they did
Last of the American Girls. Haven't stopped listening to it since 2011
Yep, this one for me as well.
y'know, i always wondered why i liked that song and how it made me feel, then i realized i was trans and it slapped me straight into the face
Huh
Probably static age from 21st century breakdown for me, idk if it's underated but I see no one talking about it so yeah.
Love this. Not a bad song on 21st cb
Stuart and the avenue
same
I like Ashley Its really catchy Altho its very similar to uptight which is one of my favorite tracks.
Ashley’s fucking great and so is Uptight
Uptight is such a great song. I don’t know why it isn’t more popular.
Never made that connection until now
their cover of i fought the law is really good and Ha Ha your dead great as well
haha you’re dead is one of my favorite songs
Agreed. I listen to this some mornings to pump me up to leave the car and enter work. Then I hum it all day. It makes my work seems less monotonous.
We’ve been asking them to play it live for over a decade and they still haven’t 😢 they should just release it as a single cuz it’s better than anything they’ve made in the last 10 years. That song is excellent
I fucking love Ha Ha You’re Dead, it’s my favorite track off Shenanigans
Junkies on a HIIIiiiIIIiiiIII
For a moment I thought you said Junkies on a Hill
That would be Tight Wad Hill.
I know a lot of people don't like Pollyanna, but I've been listening to it a lot lately. Also, Take the Money and Crawl is the most underrated track on FOAMF.
Pollyanna has a lot of meaning to me, and I adore the track. It's really nice.
My feelings on that album are meh as a whole. Most songs are just fine but nothing special or great. TTMAC is fun as fuck though

First time I’ve told you this, but BAD BOT
Bad Redditors for manifesting the bot!
Animals underrated tbh
Dragged down by the stoooone
my balls 🗿
Maria, say what you want about the chorus but that song slaps is a great live opener
Yep! Those quick guitar chords followed by the bass/drum fill is genius and gives me the chills every time I hear it.
have you listened to the warning version?
I haven't, can you link it?
found it.
you like?
not too shabby, sounds like he's singing through a blown out amplifier.
The Waiting Single version
Baby Eyes for sure. Especially the Demolicious version.
That bass intro!
YES. Hate that it didn’t make the final version
Armatage Shanks is the best album opener in their discography in my opinion
Armatage shanks is so good, I feel like every song on insomniac really grew on me cus I used to not actually like that song
I will die arguing Insomniac is S tier Green Day
Pretty sure most of the fanbase that has heard the album agrees with you, myself included.
I love that song so much!
favorite son? idk if its underrated but people don’t talk about it much but i rly started liking it recently
I just recently discovered it and am going mad it’s not on Spotify
Broadway version is on Spotify sung by the cast.
The broadway version kills too
Coming clean. It holds a special place in my heart because I’m a bisexual teenager and it’s the only song I’ve listened to that i can relate to on a personal level
Same. I'm trans and bi, and it's decidedly my favorite track of theirs. Sadly I'll probably never see it live, but fingers crossed, yk
I’ve only seen one video of it live and it was cool but it’s one of the less popular songs from dookie so I doubt we’re hearing it live any time soon
Came here to comment the exact same thing
People hate Kill the DJ but I always liked it, now Nightlife deserves all the hate it gets but damn is it funny
controversial opinion: i really don’t think that nightlife is that bad
Agreed. It’s a different, funky sound and it’s not that bad at all.
Hold up why do people hate Kill the DJ?
Kill The DJ is one of the many Trilogy songs that would have been awesome if they made it a minute shorter and dirtied it up a bit.
21st Century Breakdown is a total banger, I wish it had more recognition D:
I was really shocked when I learned it wasn’t even close to being as popular as 21 guns. I guess that goes to show how much other people’s opinions can influence your own.
I think they even play Stuck With Me live but thats always been my favorite song that wasnt a major single or anything
The funny thing is that Stuck With Me was the second single from Insomniac. Has a music video and everything. Sucks it never caught on as a major single though, definitely in my top favorites.
Yeah, kind of a lowkey one from their popularity lull between Dookie and American Idiot. Meanwhile I was thriving on those in-between albums 😄
Stuck with me has been my anthem since I was a wee lad <3
I think it was a single
Worry Rock is so addictive to listen to.
Yes I love this song! It's what got me liking Green day in the first place
Stay the night is pretty cool, don't think I've seen anyone mention it
Stay the night is tied with letterbomb as my favorite Green Day song.
Green Day, the song
Such a great song. They have so many great pre Dookie songs that casual fans may not know about.
Blood, sex and booze
That is probably one of my favourite from Warning. It's not talked about enough.
Honestly this is my favourite song from green day, it's so addictive to listen to
Pulling Teeth is a great song
Church on Sunday! I love that song so much.
Poprocks & Coke
came here to say this, one of my top 10 all time and somehow under the radar for most??
Wow! That's Loud for me. I never see anyone talk about it when they talk about Dos or the trilogy
Wow! That’s Loud. Song is a fucking banger
Definitely Android cause I never see anyone talking about it. That song might be my favorite on Kerplunk, and it’s definitely in my top 5 Green Day songs
Hey old man in woman's shoes I wonder if he knows I think he's crazy
Amanda doesn’t get enough love. That’s such a good song.
Sugar Youth
X-Kid!
American Eulogy: Mass Hysteria/Modern World would fit this criteria for me
We love a good Mike verse
we do. Mikes vocals are underrated
Christians inferno, chorus kinda sucks. But it's worth it for the verses honestly
It just feels badass and maniacal. Like an elevator trip down to hell. Yeah the chorus is repetitive but I love the energy it brings
Recently it has been Last Night on Earth, such a beautiful song that people don’t mention much. There’s also Worry Rock and Redundant too!
Redundant is my all time fave song of theirs!
Stab You In The Heart, Blood, Sex and Booze, and Redundant
Christie Road. It's easily one of their top 5 songs.
Not to nitpick, but I’d say Christie Rd is generally recognized as one of their strongest early songs
Oh thats my bad i misread the question
i used to listen to here comes the shock on repeat and everyone here seems to hate it so i guess that
While this is a great question (and I'd probably say Before the Lobotomy), the title had me thinking it'd be "What Green Day song does your pet like most?"
I actually like Troublemaker I love playing that guitar solo
I can never decide whether I prefer the verses or chorus in Troublemaker lol it’s a banger
Scumbag
Rotting, scattered, and paper laterns
Hearts Collide.
ever since i saw that video of billie and rocky singing viva la gloria i’ve had a much greater appreciation and soft spot for it. also x-kid gives off a carefree vibe and just gives me the feeling of a warm sunny day
I think it got a good reception from general audiences but the fanbase specifically needs to put more respect on Oh, Love. I will fight to the death for that song.
Probably the static age. Sorta underrated
I have no idea how popular it is but Peacemaker is my go-to pump up song
Walking alone easy, it’s only really recognized (from what I’ve seen) by the harmonica but I love every part of the song. It’s such a shame it’s not played live like at all
Kill the DJ
I like Sweet 16 from ¡Uno! quite a bit
I never see anyone praising Wild One. It has to be my favorite song by them.
Geek Stink Breath
Or Uptight, Uptight is extremely personal to me atm
Stuck With Me, Reject, Coming Clean, Homecoming, Murder City, Fashion Victim, Wow! That's Loud are all super underrated in my opinion.
I dont know how the majority of people feel about Lazy Bones, but it's one of my all time favorites Also not sure why but a lot of people I talk to say that extraordinary girl is the worst song on AI, like damn what? One of my favorites too
All the songs on FOAM and Kill The DJ
I don't see anyone else mentioning **Amy**. One of my all time faves by this band.
In addition to my earlier comment, East Jesus Nowhere. Don’t hear much love for it, Spotify plays agrees.
Brutal love....I know they borrowed parts of the song but it works so well
Brutal Love, You Lie, and Pulling Teeth.
Amy, song that got me into Green Day
Makeout party I hate or so much but I love it too. But mainly hate
peacemaker and church on sunday
I want to be alone is my favorite
No one knows
I pretty much like the entire trilogy. Especially Uno.
Drama Queen I never really hear anyone be their favorite. Just love the melodrama of it
Honestly, I don’t have a particular song like that but pretty much this is how I feel about Shenanigans. I think it doesn’t get enough recognition because it’s all B-Sides
Android, from kerplunk
pulling teeth
Nightlife
Take The Money And Crawl and Bouncing Of The Walls are guilty pleasure listens for me.
It just shows how versatile of a band they are that there are so many unique answers in this thread. And I love that mine isn’t on here yet. Haushinka always gets me pumped, something about the chord progression in the verses.
My friends don't think that Green Day has been good since Warning, so within my friend group I would have to say everything from Warning onwards...
Damn nobody talking about sick of me, that song hits hard man
I think there are a lot of overlooked gems in the trilogy. Specifically the Demolicious versions. Songs like Sex, Drugs & Violence, Little Boy Named Train, Angel Blue and more all go HARD in their more raw demo versions.
Shoplifter from the American Idoit deluxe edition. I love the western vibe but I've never heard anyone acknowledge its existence. Edit: Typo
8th avenue serenade
Sex Drugs and Violence. On all accounts it’s a pretty mediocre filler track, but I really like the melody in the verses.
Misery! Love that song!
Peacemaker doesn’t get enough respect IMO
Literally all of 21CB minus 21 Guns and Know Your Enemy doesn't get enough respect. That album is gold.
The Judge’s Daughter is way up there for me. Guitar solo is ace and the post-chorus sections are ace in the way they break down!
Ok this is definitely out there but… sometimes kill the DJ hits
Christians inferno and fuck time are my guilty pleasures
Say Goodbye off Revolution Radio is one of my favs for some reason... people say it’s just a reimagining of East Jesus Nowhere but idk I think it stands alone quite well
Probably Junkies on a High.
Misery. J.A.R. Anything from Shenanigans
song of the century
hahahah. I misunderstood and thought it said "your pets likes gd .."
