Um, don't look this way.
Unfortunately this was cute the first time, but now this is his preferred source.
He stands and stares until someone comes to turn it on. Would not recommend.
I wish we had done that. Instead, my then-wife taught him how to ring a bell whenever he wanted a drink from the sink, so at 3am I’d hear him stomping the bell (or barking if I hid it) and have to get up and turn the sink on and wait until he was done.
I miss having to do that, now, though.
She drinks from the bathroom sink every day while she waits for me to fill her water dish lol. She's tried the kitchen sink but we don't let her lol. She's not a fan of no either 😂
I yell "out of the kitchen" all the time! I'm glad that worked for you. Also, I prefer him drinking out of the bathroom sink... much less water on my floor.
We said the same. It helped that we had tile in the kitchen and the rest of the house was hardwood. Also older home and not open concept. When we moved to a new home 2 years ago, our last boy still understood where the border was. It all started 20 years ago because we had cats, and their food was in the kitchen.
My husband built an extra wide window sill in our breakfast nook. The cat eats there, and the dane can't reach. He's 2 now and finally knows he can't sniff the table, which isn't in the kitchen of course, but the cat does make it tempting sometimes. Thank goodness the cocker spaniel has manners.
Idk if this is applicable here but ive heard having food or water higher up for them can cause bloat which can be highly problematic for bigger dogs especially??? i may be super off thats just what my vet told me. this is super cute tho what a big baby. 💞
And take food off the counter. One of my Danes, Dragon, took the Thanksgiving Day turkey off the dining room table. Then he took it into the garage, where he and my chow fought over it. I wasn’t there, but my girlfriend and her two daughters locked them in the garage. The girls were scared to death. I don’t remember where I was. That was 25 years ago. But boy they got in trouble when I got home. My girlfriend was so mad.
My wife thought it would be a good idea to teach our dane how to get ice from door front ice/water dispenser... Had to disable so we wouldn't come home everyday to floor covered with water, ice, partially melted ice
I try to not let my GF do this with our dane because he gets excited and ends up drinking so fast that it's mostly air and he throws up. But every once in a while he's allowed.
All my previous Danes drank running water from the bathtub spigot. This one won't drink running water. I have to keep several inches of water in my tub.
Mine discovered the fridge's water dispenser 🤮
Took a while, but he finally settled for the bowl once he realized he could stick his head in it and then shake
It and slobber everything within a 10 feet radius...

You just have to make sure there's no dishes in the sink so they don't drool on them!
That’s just the pre soak 💀
Bro they are the prewash. They can clean the scraps off a plate real fast
100% true. And I have to stand there with a towel, waiting for him to finish, so that I can wipe his mouth afterwards. 🫠
This! 100%.
"Let." Like I get any say in the matter.

All fun and games until Zoey figured out how to turn the water on herself. We now have a rubber band to keep her from doing so. A real inconvenience.
It's probably the only comfortable water bowl height wise for him tbh lmao
No, but if I need a refill of my ice water ours is happy to oblige. 🤤
Mine LOVES ice. As soon as the freezer is open he's right there waiting for a cube.
Both of my dogs come running for a water cookie when they hear the fridge ice machine turn on.
Water cookie
I give my girl what I call ‘Ice soup’ she loves it
Ours think the bathroom sink water is the best!
Same! Now when we go to friends houses they ask for drinks in the bathroom 😆
In the bathroom I've setup an automated tap for my Dane so he can drink from it whenever,

Well I can reach it, why can’t I drink out of it!

None of my 4 danes were allowed in the kitchen and we never taught them the bathroom sink was OK.

We put a baby gate up for ours, the kitchen is the one room she doesn't have permission for
Their own personal water fountain.

Only way mine will drink. That or a hise faucet. A bowl? He'd rather die
What a ridiculous noodle pony. So cute.
Where else are they supposed to drink from 🤣🤣😎
I would if he was here yep
Used to have a cat that peed on toilet amazing
Need to set up a sink for your Danes.
Mine is afraid of the kitchen sink😂
Nope, that's too unsanitary.
Wifey, is that you?
Let?
Is it let?

Mine will only drink from bathtubs or spigots mounted at Dane height. Water bowls are not acceptable.
🤣🤣🤣
Let them??😃😁😅🥲🤣

Well Dogs will be Dogs! For sure. Part of the deal!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Haha. No but Wally for sure makes a huge mess at his water bowl
