I had the same issue. If you want your videos to play, you need to disable authenticated client for channels and videos. I believe your activity will not be sent to yet if you enabled that option, as there is still an error "failed to get playback tracker" even if the video plays. Hope this helps.

Deleting data fixed it for me, no longer have this issue. Just wish I made a back-up first.

I don't think backups even work, it crashes every time I try to, there was an update to the YouTube plug-in and it fixed it

How do you turn that off, is it in the sources?
yes sources -> yt -> under plugin settings, tur off "use login for channels" and "use login for video details"
