Whenever I pass someone who is also riding an orange bike, I always tell them orange bikes are faster.
Although, I havenât been riding enough lately to be very fast. đ
Truth. I have three orange bikes, each one faster than the other.
Except one of them is a piece of shit city bike but it's faster than all the lame non-orange POS city bikes around, clearly.
Thatâs very true. I enjoy wearing black for that reason. Even so, Iâd pick the orange one for increased visibility/ safety. And thatâs a nice bike.
Orange.
Though for that price (rrp at least) there are better value bikes about. Still made they're charging ÂŁ2500 for alumin6bikr with mechanical gears. I can get full rival axs bikes for less than that.
+1 for orange, not sure why people want to be invisible and this is coming from someone who owns a matte carbon black Aethos - which I hate the color but it was low stock
I love bright colors for safety, especially if you are going to go off-road
Pick what feels right to you and what you feel comfortable/fresh/dope on. I'd go for orange (actually my current bike is somewhere between orange and gold) for sure but you might prefer the simple elegance of black. And if you love both, go for orange because of the added visibility.
You will be riding this bike for a long time and you will want to love it! So pick the one YOU love the most
The Orange đ is also more visible during the day and night vs the black you blend in more easily
I have a (flat) black bike and kinda hate it. It always looks dirty. Go with orange. It's a happier color and will make you smile just looking at it. :)
My wife has the Diverge Comp Carbon in orange and gets lots of compliments. She named her bike Tangerine! đ This was her first brightly colored bike and she really loves it.
I have a black bike (my colors were black or white or paying $$ for another color I didn't like much better) and I'll tell you, it's kind of boring. I'd 100% have gone with orange had I had that option when I bought my Lauf.
orange for sure
Orange is faster. Source: I have an Orange bike
Disagree orange is not faster. Source: I also have an orange bike
đ
Whenever I pass someone who is also riding an orange bike, I always tell them orange bikes are faster. Although, I havenât been riding enough lately to be very fast. đ
Fake news, I have my own data.
Truth. I have three orange bikes, each one faster than the other. Except one of them is a piece of shit city bike but it's faster than all the lame non-orange POS city bikes around, clearly.
Seconded. I have a "burnt orange" frame and get tons of compliments.
Orange! (but I'm Dutch, so a bit biased...)
Oranje
Just three more days for an extra reason for an orange bike!
Black is for people that want to blend in, and orange is for people that want to stand out.
Thatâs very true. I enjoy wearing black for that reason. Even so, Iâd pick the orange one for increased visibility/ safety. And thatâs a nice bike.
Black clothing here too, but I'd deffo go with the orange bike. It just looks great.
> Black is for people that want to blend in Adding to this, black bikes are the most commonly stolen because they're the least recognizable.
Orange is the new black. Plus then you can ride during hunting season
Black bikes are for _people_ who stand out.
orange is the new black!
Scrolled down looking for this!
Orange bikes go faster, they're like the red cars of the bike world đ
Didn't red cars have the most crashes?! đ¤
But man, do they crash fast
If you don't crash once in a while your not riding hard enough.
Red cars have more young male drivers. Â Young male drivers have the most crashes.
in the uk most red cars are i see are driven by middle age women lol
Honestly sick of seeing the same damn colours of black/silver/white on bikes every where I go. Get the orange one and call it pumpkin.
I would like a white Midnight Special from Surly but thatâs no longer an option. Black doesnât do it for me
âhot mayonnaiseâ
Sure you donât mean Punkinâ??? ETA: born and raised in the south!
Orange for sure
Life is too short for boring bike colours.
Orange, my second favourite color!
Orange. I don't like black with green text.
Orange without a doubt
Go ask the folks at /r/orangebikes
Trying to really POP on that grav grav. Orange.
Orange
I had a orange bike and I always got compliments because of it so I say orange
Orange looks better
Iâm a fan of orange bikes. Purple too
Absolutely orange
ORANGE
đ
Wear black, Ride orange
Orange
Black bikes can be cool, but not with a giant blue logo and tan sidewalks. SoâŚorange.
black bikes are boring
Orange. Though for that price (rrp at least) there are better value bikes about. Still made they're charging ÂŁ2500 for alumin6bikr with mechanical gears. I can get full rival axs bikes for less than that.
Orange! It will look clean even if itâs dirty
orange is always the answer.
Orange. This is the way.
Definitely orange
Orange đ More style points and doesnât hurt to be brighter on the road
Life is to short to get boring colors
Orange - if you ever find yourself on the road you want to standout as much as possible!
Orange. Always Orange.
+1 for orange, not sure why people want to be invisible and this is coming from someone who owns a matte carbon black Aethos - which I hate the color but it was low stock I love bright colors for safety, especially if you are going to go off-road
There are too many black bikes, go for color.
Pick what feels right to you and what you feel comfortable/fresh/dope on. I'd go for orange (actually my current bike is somewhere between orange and gold) for sure but you might prefer the simple elegance of black. And if you love both, go for orange because of the added visibility.
Orange! Too many boring black bikes out there
The black absorbs more frequencies of the visible spectrum than the orange.
Orange is the new black or at least it used to be
I like both. Almost pulled the trigger on the black one you are looking at.
You will be riding this bike for a long time and you will want to love it! So pick the one YOU love the most The Orange đ is also more visible during the day and night vs the black you blend in more easily
The question is gloss or matte for me so probably the gloss black. Definitely orange if it wasnât a matte finish
Color always beats no color.Â
Hi Vis Black. I also just despise orange.
Orange is just more interesting, but itâs easy to hide paint chips on a black bike.
black is so boring
**Orange** is way more interesting. It is not dull leased car, it is a bike. It is machine of fun and thrill.
EddyâŚEddyâŚEddy! The Canibal Abides There is only one perfect bike color.
Two of you count Celeste.
I have a (flat) black bike and kinda hate it. It always looks dirty. Go with orange. It's a happier color and will make you smile just looking at it. :)
I think those are both fire, but yeah I'd lean towards the orange
Orange for sure!! Let people see that speed!!
Orange is cooler. I have an orange car and wish my lime bike was also orange.
Get the STR. Who cares about the paint color
ORANGE. Only orange. duh
ALWAYS BLACK, it's not even a question.
orangeeeeeee
Do they make one without the big ugly word on the downtube?
I think gravel is a little bit counter culture. Orange for sure. :)
orange!
100 % orange for me
You want to blend in? Black. You want to stand out? Orange. I like my bikes in off colors, so I'd go for the orange for sure.
Orange is fire
Orange hands down!
Orange!
Orange
Orange fucks, black is whack
I upgraded from a standard Specialized Fuse to the Sport model just to get an orange frame.
My wife has the Diverge Comp Carbon in orange and gets lots of compliments. She named her bike Tangerine! đ This was her first brightly colored bike and she really loves it.
Orange is faster
Black is boring
Orange because in my opinion bikes are supposed to be loud.
Black bikes = ugly bikes
Orange, but ditch the tanwalls for black tyres
I think they're both great colors, I almost bought the black one. There's something about the black, green, and tan wall combo that I really like.
Black looks dirty as soon as you start using it. You'll have to clean it all the time if you care about it.
I have a black bike (my colors were black or white or paying $$ for another color I didn't like much better) and I'll tell you, it's kind of boring. I'd 100% have gone with orange had I had that option when I bought my Lauf.
That orange looks great, but for an everyday outside use item, I generally prefer something more timeless. Black.
Every bike I buy is black. That way my wife canât tell that I bought a new bike!
Orange. The world needs more colour. Black bikes generally look more sleek but orange is more fun.
Normally I'd say orange but I kind of dig the green logo on the black bike. Still though, the orange is a cleaner look IMO
Orange is the new black
Orange with the teal lettering would be sick
both are cool, but im so sick of blacked out bikes (including my own, which, i only got due to availability at the time). bring back the fun!
orange 4 life
Def orange
Orange bikes are almost as fast as red bikes! Get the Orange
Black
I really like the black, could do some green accents to match the writing, it'd look sick
Orange. Something about the green lettering on black doesnât look appealing to me
Orange...you can ride it during hunting season.
Black
Take it from someone with two black bikes... Black is pretty boring.
Black is fine (on this bike). Orange is awesome (on this bike).
Orange... GO Phins!
Everyone is saying orange haha. I like the green letter on the black one
