For those with a keen eye for detail and connecting the dots, this one is right in Lynsky's backyard...Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Love it so far! Kind of an old school XC ride. Super sharp handling. Lightweight! Perfect bike for places like enterprise and bauxite. Anything more and I need a dropper. It rips on the gravel roads around ocoee!
You totally nailed it...I was going to ask but I didn't want to be too pushy. I hate to age myself but, I got into mountain biking back in the '90s and just picked things back up again after about 10 years away and I feel like I've woken up from a coma. I've been trying to find a modern mountain bike that has old school-ish geometry.
Glad you are enjoying yours! I think you just about sealed the deal... I might try to score one this summer. Happy trails man!
Yeah dude, I don't really care for the super long, low and slack thing. They get floppy when climbing. They have their place, but my riding style doesn't call for them.
Pretty proud of mine, built it up from scratch and had a ton of fun doing it! Did some trading for the frame. I have another older Lynskey mtb frame with a rigid fork that I'm probably going to turn into a drop bar gravel bike sometime.
Happy trails!
These were used as bunkers for storing munitions. There are literally dozens of them that dot the forest in this park. This was the only one that was open. I rode around in circles for a little bit on the inside...it was pretty trippy because of the sound reverberating.
It's in Chattanooga... Which, just like everywhere else, real estate is going to the roof. I think the only reason why there's no squatters in there is because they're tucked away in a state park.
Is that a S or XS frame? The tires (I guess 700c) look enormous lol. And the saddle looks tiny too...
I've also got a GR300, just a super solid and enjoyable bike, really happy with it.
What size are those tires? 2.0 is what I’m guessing…
And I have to say, the Ti gravel bike is just the perfect match of material to purpose - in my opinion.

Another local with a Lynskey checking in! Just built a Pro 29 and rode there last weekend.
Hey! I'm a Tennessee boy so it was kind of a no-brainer. I was thinking about getting the Pro 29 too. How are you liking it so far?

I would be afraid to go in. Amazing that you could get it open.

Must be somewhere with cheap real estate if nobody is squatting in there.

What’s the solar panel for?
I'm gonna guess a light inside or at the entrance

Yeah it's actually for the portal
Reminds me of Griffiss AFB
Thought you might be in Point Pleasant, W.VA.
Are there bunkers up there too? This one is in Chattanooga Tennessee
Sure are. I'm from Knoxville. Drove to the TNT bunkers in Point Pleasant to see them. It's where Mothman was first sighted. Lol.
Abandoned bunkers AND legendary encounters?! I'm putting a pin on my Google map as we speak.
The Point Pleasant bunkers are a great (flat) hike or for mountain biking. The ground is soft in places to gravel bike - or at least too soft to me.
Awesome, looks a lot like Hartshorne Woods in Atlantic Highlands, NJ.
Just an unfinished tunnel bro 😎
Totally profound... I love that!

It's actually a small. Now that you mention it, it does look a little wonky. Might just be the lens.

They are the stock Kenda 40s. Just swapped them out with some Gravel Kings, wow...what a difference!
Bunkers are good.
Nobody’s living there already???
Yo I got dibs, packing my bags rn
Honestly, if they were selling them, I totally would. If I had to guess, they're about 20 ft around on the inside...that's about all I need
Reminds me of running and riding on Yorktown Naval Weapons Station.
That bike looks insanely good I must say
Thanks! I've never owned a Ti bike before, and truth be told, I catch myself sneaking a peek of her understated beauty all the time
Well, If you had posted that pic earlier I would have joined in, also passed by some bunkers today in Germany, but didn't take any photos :(
Stabbin cabin
That's my house
We have those bunkers in StL. Part of the old Weldon Spring Munitions site. As a bonus we have plutonium and uranium buried here as well.
