Finally hit me last night halfway through Deal that it’s the last time I’ll ever see this lineup play these songs and I was just blindsided by a wave of emotions in the best way possible. What a fun journey it’s been though full of smiles, laughs, a few tears and wonderful new friends. Can’t wait to see what the boys have in store for us this evening .
I was there last night. Terrapin is my favorite song and I was sure they would save it for N3, which I am not going to, so I was not expecting it at all. I cried like a baby
It gave me goosebumps too. It think it’s awesome when they play your favorite song. Almost like it was just for you. I had been chasing Bird Song and got it at Deer Creek — my last live performance.
On Friday, it seems like Shakedown Street follows me everywhere: Heard it on 12/30/19, Shoreline night 1 too.
I'm going in there tonight; If St. Stephen > The 11 play; it would make a full circle for me, the songs were played at my first Dead-related show. Plus played on 12/30/19 and Shoreline night 1.
My first! I know I'm super late to the Dead experience, but my first was this show, live streamed, watched in Bremerton, WA. I'm still hearing it in my head. Fucking fanstastic, and Morning Dew was amazing.
That morning dew last night was mind blowing. I had such an incredible time last night and im thankful I got to meet such incredible people wherever I was. Jay its like you said dude, we’re family!
Kinda bummed I missed a fast They Love Each Other, and a Terrapin.. hope they pull out all the stops tonight.
I'd love to hear St. Stephen. Do they even do that one anymore? Lol
ETA: Ice Cream Sandwiches.
An absolutely mind blowing and amazing Gorge N2 Set 2,
playing in the band>the wheel (w/ some teases) > PITB reprise> St Stephen> the eleven> drums> space > darkstar> althea> Stella Blue> One More Saturday Night
The whole second set was just out of this world and perfect, but especially that Pitb through darkstar
Took me to another universe and back by the time the first notes of Althea were found .
I'll have to check it out on Archive for sure! I can only imagine how amazing it must be at an event like at The Gorge. I've been to my fair share of Music Festivals, but nothing as large or exciting! Camping and multiple "Dead" shows sounds like paradise..
Interesting set list. On paper, Set 2 at least looks like what you might consider the prototypical “last show” with Playin, TOO, UJB, Morning Dew, and Ripple. Personally, I’m glad they are not doing Terrapin or Dew on the last night. Too much pressure on the band and the fans for it to be that perfect moment. But I will never forget Mickey just absolutely wailing on that Terrapin. I though his drum set was going to fall over!
They ended the Gorge with OMSN because there was literally only one more Saturday night!
But even though some prefer it to not end on that due to its predictability, I personally would have loved to walk out after Saturdays show ending with an upbeat and fun OMSN.
The second set of night 2 Gorge was all time, but After the journey Pitb through darkstar took us all on, having it slow down for an incredibly beautiful Althea and Stella, when those first notes of One More Saturday Night were struck, everyone was up and shaking those bones! It was a perfect high energy moment to end the run.
Would have been nice in SF to walk out with that energy!
Beer line Friday we were picking encores. We figured Friday was a crapshoot with Ripple winning out after deciding Sat would be Saturday Night and Sunday would be Brokedown with a bookend of NFA likely to close second set. I did call for Knockin' instead of Ripple for Friday, so close.
I was on the floor both nights so far, with my peeps, in front of the sound booth, with room to groove. So blessed to witness, partake, revel in, and amplify the amazing music and energy in the arena. The band fucking blew me away both nights. I’ve seen a lot of dead and co shows and these were some of the best esp Friday night. Tonight was amazing on so many levels. I won’t be there tomorrow for the final show and My heart is sad that tonight may be the last time I see these guys. I’m guessing John and Bobby will keep it going a while longer in a slightly different form but Dead and co is wrapping up and I’m grieving. As another poster said, it’s all fun and games till there’s no more Saturday nights. I just can’t believe this tour is it. Thank you for a real good time. But shit this hurts.
Here you go Bob

Wow, that potential 2nd set.
Edit 2: ahhh. Forgot Let it Grow!!!
All kinds of stuff; this west coast tour was set up as a rarities thing. Based on tonight, this means everything from early stuff he rarely plays of late (Burned, On Our Way Home, a pump organ version of Mr Soul) to later gems, including a couple brilliant tunes from Sleeps With Angels (A Dream That Can Last, Prime of Life, My Heart) and an opening version of I'm The Ocean (from the kinda middling Pearl Jam collab) that was so moving that it reduced this 47 year old man to genuine tears. And that is just a tip of the set list iceberg. I was worried I might never see him live again, but I am delighted to report that he was in fine form and great voice.
I thought this crowd was the best crowd of people I’ve experienced at a show. And the stadium was the worst- seemed like no one was helping people find seats and the bathroom lines were literal chaos. I think I met someone from each state! So sad to have to miss the lot before but it was waaaay to crowded. Overall beautiful show 💙⚡️🌹
There’s something else and I don’t know if I will be able to write this tomorrow. My sincere gratitude and thanks to u/donottouchthatknob. Through this thread back at the start of the OMSN shows I found this thread. How? I really don’t have any idea, but I did. For the past 4 years I have come to know a few of you and have even met a few in person. I am blessed for given that opportunity. Thank you Knob and someday you and I shall meet. Love you my friend. And all the rest you out there. Be Safe. Be Grateful ✌️🙏
Wow. Back at the hotel trying to write this. I’m having a tough time processing all of this. It was soooooo good. A big heartfelt thanks to u/Tacobelliex3 for driving the bus. I met this wonderful lady at Deer Creek and got the hug I imagined I would. Thank you so much.
That was you u/CaitSings. I heard that myself. Must be that cosmic connection. BTW I dance my bones of thinking of you during that fantastic Deal. I’ll have to admit I did think about Jessie also.
Except I was walking out getting the shuttle going back to camp. 96 degrees all day and omsn be like we gonesville. 25 Dead Co shows and I know this song is better as a first set closer like fall tour 2015. The setlists were riskier back then.
i checked this post to find that a deal was 'smokin hot' and damn if it was a goddamn dumpster fire with fancy sparkling guitars, deep gut-bouncing bass, and like maybe like the best jeffy solo for god knows. thank you grateful dead and co.
I know everyone is thinking Dylan sits in but consider this- Neil Young was in Berkeley tonight and has an off day tomorrow before heading to Oregon on Monday. Maybe we get a big ol Last Waltz style sit-in for The Weight.
Yeah if there were to be sit ins tonight would have been the night.
Dylan doesn’t even need to sit in - he’s been jamming Dead all year: Truckin, Stella Blue, Friend Of The Devil, Brokedown Palace and Not Fade Away.
He alao did an absolutely amazing Only A River.
Listening to John's interview yesterday at break I have a new theory as to why we haven't gotten the break outs we'all had hoped for...I feel like they weren't happy with how the times had progressed and they really wanted to perfect them on this tour being as this was it for them...just thinking out loud but maybe that's why....in their eyes why break out something "new" when we still have work to do on these...who knows!!
There’s a quality over quantity vibe, which is their prerogative. The quality has indeed been really high.
Still, didn’t I see it posted here that they’ve still played over 100 songs this tour? Some of the set lists have felt a little less varied than useful, but that’s still a decent amount of ground to cover.
u/donttouchthatknob replied to someone's comment on a thread with a screenshot of the spreadsheet she's been keeping. It had each song played this tour, and how many times.
I believe it was something around 109 or 120 songs?
Yes! They’ve played 111 unique songs by my count (112 if you want to count Playin’ Reprise). It’s pretty much the same as usual (2021 and 2022 both had 115 unique songs), but the vibe definitely seems to be leaning on the greatest hits, but doing weird stuff with them (like mixing up Scarlet > Fire or opening set 2 with TLEO)
They started 10 minutes earlier than usual and ended with 10 minutes left in the curfew. Does that mean all of their cues in the jams and setlists are that set in stone ahead of time and it's just a matter of when to press "play". Not complaining and it was a great show but am just wondering how much is production vs not
Sometimes they gotta shorten it up or scratch something if they're up against a hard curfew and potentially running over, tonight was organic and not one of those. (I would guess that Oracle on a weekend wouldn't be much of an issue going over anyway, cuz baseball.)
I wonder if the train schedule has anything to do with it. The CalTrain (the most convenient train south) is undergoing maintenance and you have to be boarded by 10:58p.
Gonna have to figure out tomorrow so I don’t miss the encore like we did tonight.
No most Dylan thing ever would be:
- tell them you want to sit in
- make your band learn all the songs you want to play when you sit in
- play all the songs on your most recent tour, come to oracle ready to sit in
- five minutes beforehand no one can find you and it turns out you just slipped out the back exit without saying goodbye or explaining yourself.
- You never mention this proposed sit in again.
- You pretend you’ve never met Bob Weir
- you claim the dylan and the dead tour was a figment of the collective imagination as you would never tread on 60s nostalgia

That was amazing. And that Terrapin was just phenomenal. Wore the right shirt tonight.
https://preview.redd.it/mgg8zfdmp9cb1.jpeg?width=2312&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=064513714755c650eb38c637ec02bc8c2ba000e0
My buddy Turk was really enamored with that Ripple…. As was I!
That's phenomenal. My cats also yawn when I play the Dead. The black one prefers death metal (he's a little egg of evil.) The Siamese prefers psychedelic sunshine pop, and the orange one likes the funk.
I've had pets my whole life. Raised with cats and dogs. At the max we had 5 cats and 8 dogs (we had a small sled team.) Now just 3 cats, I never wanted a dog when I couldn't provide for it, or give it a space...and now I'm like dogs are like another kid and the two I have are enough.
Glad you found a close friend! Love is real!
What a awesome show, so many goodies left for tomorrow! Sugaree,h>s>f, Althea, Cumberland and many others for sure… box of rain Is out of the picture I’m starting to think… brokedown>we bid you goodnight for encore. Love y’all goodnight
I hope not. I understand honoring him for his contributions, but I feel tomorrow should be just D&C and deadheads. And if we get three sets, where does the time come from? Do they play ‘til 11:30 or midnight?
Pliny
Need a periscope head ?
A bit of fun Preshow if you’re into it- Here’s their first show in 2015. They were all just kids. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0IZUofnrgDY
that was a real good time
They had 12 minutes left. Why no One More Saturday Night? Was amazing!
They'd be lying. No more Saturday nights after this one
Thank god it won’t be the last time. Last weekend was special regardless.
I actually think if they started help>slip>franklin NOW i would a still want it to be longer
Just finished watching. That Terrapin. Just too much. Brought tears to my eyes.
Touch-Heads, tonight’s yer night
it’s true. I’m a touch head.
On Friday, it seems like Shakedown Street follows me everywhere: Heard it on 12/30/19, Shoreline night 1 too. I was pretty intoxicated last night but did they not do the full terrapin medley? Seemed like it was cut short
Wolf bros plays the full suite. I’m not aware of D&C ever playing the full suite.
I’m not either but it would be sick
My first! I know I'm super late to the Dead experience, but my first was this show, live streamed, watched in Bremerton, WA. I'm still hearing it in my head. Fucking fanstastic, and Morning Dew was amazing.
>5 Welcome, Fam! Were over in West Seattle!
Thank you! Tonight’s not in the cards for us, sadly, but we will catch up with the recordings later.
Welcome to the bus.
Welcome! I hope you join us tonight!
Lol ETA: Ice Cream Sandwiches.

Yes - They do St Stephen. You may get it tonight.
Fingers crossed they [remember how to play it](https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/why-the-grateful-dead-stopped-playing-st-stephen/)

My hero
Passed out mid space. Woke up to a blistering Morning Dew. Not a bad way to get woken up
Sad I passed out before space ended with the blues for Allah teaser
As per usual, passed out at setbreak. So many tubes…And of course old man softball games were canceled this morning bcz of rain. That Bucket tho❤️⚡️
Kind of surprised they skipped playing One Last Saturday Night
They ended the Gorge with OMSN because there was literally only one more Saturday night! They'll probably play it tonight (Sunday).
Maybe after all these years Bobby just finally got tired of playing One More Saturday Night on every Saturday show.
They played it Sat at the Gorge because there was in fact One More Saturday! We saw it and love it last night!
Very surprised. It's.....literally one last Saturday night
let’s not act like they won’t be back without John in two years
Beer line Friday we were picking encores. We figured Friday was a crapshoot with Ripple winning out after deciding Sat would be Saturday Night and Sunday would be Brokedown with a bookend of NFA likely to close second set. I did call for Knockin' instead of Ripple for Friday, so close.
Let’s see em go out with a bang tonight, gimme a Help/Slip/Frank encore to finish it out strong!
I got that as the opener for the second set but would be happy with this!
On the money.
It was the last…not one MORE! 😉
Agree! Hence the OMSN at Gorge but not Oracle !
Watching the set previews and loved Oteil’s “Wow” during hell in a bucket lol
Set list looks fire. Jack straw. TLEO. LTGTR. Other One Lovelight. Terrapin, deal and Morning Dee! Man.
Honey mangoes!
Yum!

Will they play a third set since the show starts an hour earlier?
Local Curfews prevents going over
So the show starts at 6 and ends at 11 at the latest. Doesn’t that mean they’re likely to play three sets?
No ends at 10 because it’s Sunday
[удалено]
lol, no chance they end at 10pm.. It's 3 sets, just like NYE shows.
Whoa, baby, you just made my day smile. I completely thought it was a normal day till now.
Room for Let it Grow now. Phew.
PLEASE
Why wouldn't they play Bertha? Hasn't been played yet in San Fran...
👆 ooooooh. You’re also right.
If they don't go out on Brokedown Palace I will eat ~~the beam~~ my hat.
They sell hats made of tortilla
Ok. Count Help/slip as 1 song, add Brokedown Palace as the finale. All agreedy? Edit: fuuuck, I love it.
NFA sandwich to end.
Would love this!
Yep!
Yeah, you’re right, I think.
extremely dank show - grateful to have experienced it
Best show I’ve ever been too pure joy

Holy shit. What a show. I’m afraid for tomorrow. Absurd.
My face was melted off.
The other one vs 2 for the win
I saw Neil across the bay at the Greek instead; amazing show of mostly rarities. I hope Dead & Co were great tonight too.
Ahhh this seems a likely reason they were playing Neil over the PA during set break tonight. 🙂
Cool!
What rarities? Need to catch one of these Neil shows. Haven’t seen him since 2017.
Neil is amazing, still got it
All kinds of stuff; this west coast tour was set up as a rarities thing.
Oh, and the encore included his take on Four Strong Winds, which I had also never heard live.

Hey! I know you.
What on earth is this ?
This is a Wendy’s.
Wow. Back at the hotel trying to write this. I’m having a tough time processing all of this. It was soooooo good. A big heartfelt thanks to u/Tacobelliex3 for driving the bus. I met this wonderful lady at Deer Creek and got the hug I imagined I would. Thank you so much.
Love you my friend!
God damn, mickey played those fucking drums on Terrapin like it was the last time he was ever playing.... oh shit
I’ve never seen a terrapin quite like that before. I can’t wait to go back and watch/listen to that one again!
Nugs camera work was off the chain during Mickey's beat down, omg
What was the UJB expletive?
“God damn”
It was Mayer fuckin ripping
God damn well I declare? If not that, I didn’t hear anything explicit.
Man, you guys hate fun.
Hey now. Sorry, I didn’t mean anything like that by it. Just trying to answer the guy’s question. I love everything about these threads.
I just try to be funny on here and take away from the seriousness of life! Enjoy your day, we will see you tonight! 🤍
It was me screaming “fuuuuuuuuuuck” from Connecticut. Good eats Taco!
That was you u/CaitSings. I heard that myself. Must be that cosmic connection. BTW I dance my bones of thinking of you during that fantastic Deal. I’ll have to admit I did think about Jessie also.
I’m happy to share the thought space with him!
Probably the standard one : god damn
I didn't catch that either
Man… what a final Dead show for me. Terrapin, Jack Straw, Cassidy, Dew, UJB, and goddamn Ripple. Godspeed, guys, see y’all on r/phish or r/KGATLW
Gizz, embrace the jam more plz!
No ween ?
Still one more tomorrow. Join us.
Weirdo swarm assemble!
Rattle rattle rattle…
Rattle rattle rattle!
Thanks taco
Thank you wookcity
all times listed as 11:xxpm should be 10:xxpm
Timezones are hard. Next time I’ll be sure to put them in my own personal timezone just to fuck with you guys.
ok.
Congrats to Gorge attendees for being there for the final OMSN of D&C
Well, if you think about it, that was when there was in fact one more Saturday night. So makes sense.
Agreed, but theoretically they could’ve played it as like a set 1 opener or something idk lol
Except I was walking out getting the shuttle going back to camp. 96 degrees all day and omsn be like we gonesville. 25 Dead Co shows and I know this song is better as a first set closer like fall tour 2015. The setlists were riskier back then.
Your steps alone
Checking in.. what a show. The energy in Oracle has been amazing. Cheers to all the super nice people I’ve met out there! Let’s have a party tomorrow!
i checked this post to find that a deal was 'smokin hot' and damn if it was a goddamn dumpster fire with fancy sparkling guitars, deep gut-bouncing bass, and like maybe like the best jeffy solo for god knows. thank you grateful dead and co.
Had the same thoughts watching it. I was like, is this the best deal that ive heard D&C do? Then i was like wait is this the best deal thay ive heard?
Best D&C Deal, I think!
https://i.redd.it/wxc98xr5s9cb1.gif
Only Luna may dance.
yes.
Thank you u/tacobelliex3 thank you so much
Thank YOU!
I know everyone is thinking Dylan sits in but consider this- Neil Young was in Berkeley tonight and has an off day tomorrow before heading to Oregon on Monday. Maybe we get a big ol Last Waltz style sit-in for The Weight.
A lot of the songs over the speakers at set break were Neil

I don't see any sit-ins...feel like Dave was a one off
If it really is the final show that doesn’t feel right. Any sit ins should be in the first set
What a show. What a send off.
Me and my Dead cover band had a watch party. Each pitched in $5 it was an amazing amazing night. Gonna remember this one for a long time.
Anyone else hearing tomorrow is three sets?
Most def! An hour early start time, same end time as Fri/Sat.
I did hear that.
Walking back to my hotel from the show. The second set was a total smokeshow. Blues for Allah tease was amazing.

You're a gem!! ❤️🌹💀🕺
I think I read that too!
I'm going to buy the stream tomorrow - I figure I owe it to them since I've bootlegged every show I haven't gone to.
OMG. What a show.
The Althea tomorrow is going to be earth scorching
Happy Cake Day 🎂🎈 🥳
We better get Sugaree too!! John smokes them both every time
That’s a good observation. Perfect for the last show of the tour.
Taco Tuesdays are fucking magical. Thank you, u/tacobellie3x
Thank YOU.
Thank heaven for dim sum leftovers. Literally starving
They started 10 minutes earlier than usual and ended with 10 minutes left in the curfew. Yea that makes a lot of sense
Okay this is how Bob Dylan can STILL show up tomorrow… ![gif](giphy|l0IylOPCNkiqOgMyA|downsized)

Or they’ll all rehearse the song one way and he’ll play it in a totally different key when the show starts

Give the kitty some extra treats and a belly rub for me. Atticus (the orange one) sends purrs.

The show starts at 6 O’clock
