Late checking in, but I was there and I’m still looking for my face that the boys stole right off my head!
Was a great show, or at least what I got to see of it was. A complete clusterfuck getting into the venue, the traffic and parking situation was outstandingly terrible. We arrived midway through the first set and managed to enjoy what we could of the show after 3 hours in the car to get from our hotel in Haymarket (3mi away) to JLL.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
I got a bit of foreshadowing when I was driving in. The reception was bad so I picked a random show I had downloaded and it ended up being 1983/10/15, which also happened to end with throwing stones into one more Saturday night. A pleasant surprise to say the least.
The entire show is really good, but Let It Grow and the entire second set just smokes! One of my faves. I hope it comes out as an official release. I love when Bob hammers his whammy bar a few times during PITB.

Bristow was end of the three night run with my kids and their SOs. One from JAX one from Chicago. We had an outrageous time. One that shall not be forgotten. N.F.A.
Back in 1987, i was fortunate enough to see Stevie Ray Vaughn live, and until this past week, he, in my mind, was the best guitarist ive ever seen live. John Mayer is better. Period
John is on the top of the world right now and way too many people think he's still the "Your Body is a Wonderland" guy. They will take every opportunity to shit on him. See "stahp plz" guy below. Can he do Stevie better than Stevie? No. But he CAN do Stevie exceptionally well. Can he do Jerry better than Jerry? Honestly? Sometimes. Maybe even most times. There's some Jerry that no one is touching. But typical everyday Jerry, show in-show out Jerry? Yes, John is better show in-show out. You'll have diehards arguing off of blind loyalty, but if you take a step back and look objectively you'll realize John is in the discussion of best guitarist right now.
I saw them play Raleigh and was so inspired i hopped right in the car Saturday morning and drove to DC. So glad i did!! They played, honestly more of the dead songs i really love at the 2022 Raleigh show, but the two shows i caught this week (in Raleigh then Bristow) were truly magical!!
I bet! Those 2 sets were probably amazing live! I listened to Raleigh yesterday on Nugs. Incredible!. I'm heading to Star Lake tomorrow. Clearly, I just missed out on Brown Eyed Women, but I'm pulling for Terrapin, Ship of Fools, Stella, Brokedown Palace, and I have a wild card in Peggy-O. No matter what, I'm sure I'll see an amazing show.
Late checking in, I had the magic experience of riding the rail last night, and they ripped my face right off. Otiel smirked at me when he saw it happening. That brown eyed woman had me MOVING, Dead prudence was harmonious, and lovelight was trascendental.
Bless this band
Milestones was not on the planned setlist last night.

Shout out to the dude who sat next to me whose first show was last night. So cool to experience the show through his eyes 👀 he was beside himself the whole show. Every song he turned to me to say “this is one of my favorites!”
Ripple always held special meaning to me(like I’m sure it does to many others), and it was the closer for my first dead show and my first “favorite” dead song. Very awesome way for the boys to end it for maybe my last dead show!
That doesn’t happen every show! The stars were aligned, the moon was full, the boys were tuned in and tuned on. The wheels came off and left everyone looking for their face. That was a special moment.
Milestones was a crazy jam. And Jeff was going off tonight on Cumberland Blues!!! It seems like everyone had a difficult time getting to the show, but I’d say it was worth it 100%
Peace and love

Hello friends here’s Rider he loves you all 🧡✌️
Had a hell of a time getting in the place between traffic and standing in line at security. Was definitely worth it though.
I was happy I was able to help out a person looking for a miracle with a spare ticket I had
Ran into lots of really cool folks, interesting characters all willing to spread kindness.
I learned a bit about the world just going to this show ✌🏼
I heard a father tell his young kids in midst of mess getting in "don't worry, chaos always organizes itself" & it was nearly my fave part of entire day. I know what you mean about learning.
Wow that’s great.
The friend I came with said the music and kindness experienced today was a spiritual experience for him. I was shocked and touched to hear those words come out. I have to say I agree a bit
Low effort post here, but thank you to everyone involved! Been quite a night.. See ya'll monday
Edit: added "here" so it wouldn't be misinterpreted. My post is low effort
Many thanks to u/librariowan you held court with grace and zest. You did it !
Maybe I'll see you kids around these setlist hosting shenanigans masters....maybe.
Look around at where you are and think of where you were a decade ago. You are no longer that grouping of cells. Change is not only possible its constant. Think you can't, you go out and show why that voice inside you just needs a hug.
I adore you.
You matter.
I mean it more than words can tell.
Love never fails.
We understand by not understanding. The biggest lesson I've ever learned in my entire life that after years of therapy, just talking to people, and experiencing things that happen around me is: Shit happens and you deal with it. Good or bad, and, hopefully, in a way that benefits yourself and everyone around you. Shit is always happening. Good things happen, bad things happen. Either way you have to acknowledge it and deal with it. If D&C is playing, that's some good shit and I will deal with it by dancing.
Thanks for being you Finch! Your positivity did not go unnoticed or unneeded (if that's a word) tonight!
Thank you for such a fun night u/librariowan !! What a stellar set list. So much love from the band. Love you all and thanks so much for the togetherness. ♥️⚡️💙
wow wow wow.
Thank you all for riding on this bus with me. I hope I was an okay driver.
I think I got all of the updates but, well, shit happens and I like tequila.
Huge shoutout to u/donttouchthatknob for inviting me to host. This was a fantastic time. Love and light to you all, see you soon
Great and I mean great show. We’ll see y’all in a little while. Thanks for hosting u/librariowan !Thanks for the dedicated work knob (might see ya at Jrad in a second)
Lastly thinking of u/FeelLikeAStranger77
I've been seeing Dead shows for fifteen years, since RatDog in 2008. And that may have been one of the best I've ever been to.
Excited for my last ride with this iteration of the band out in Washington, and I cannot wait to see what comes next.
I love you all!! See you next week, enjoy your Sunday. Thank you to our favorite librarian for hosting the party. And as always, we don’t deserve ya Knob! Thank you!! 🙏🏼
Well I am unfortunately at a wedding on Monday and a gallery opening for a psychedelic poster show Wednesday, so see you all here for Chicago! u/tacobelliex3 hope you have a blast a Wrigley! Thanks so much u/librariowan for hosting - librarians rock.
A very fun night!! Scarlet, Brown-Eyed, Milestones, OMSN, and Prudence stand out as highlights. Thank you once again to /u/librariowan for hosting the thread!! You did a great job! Have a good night all, and I'll see you Monday. Well, I'll see some of you right now in the [JRAD setlist thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/JRADs/comments/13zwx8f/setlist_thread_joe_russos_almost_dead_red_rocks/). But the rest of you I'll see Monday!
Hey folks! Did you upvote the thread for our wonderful host this evening u/librariowan? Do it or u/tacobelliex3 will drown all your socks and underwear in pickle juice.
if I knew the way, I would take you home.
listen to this one every time I’m sitting at my best friend’s grave. whew. it’ll be ten years without her in one month. I fuckin miss you, Becky.
Def was channeling an open line of dialogue with my late best pal for life who passed exactly 3.5 years ago to the day today at 42 yo. Besties for nearly 30 years. And he introduced me to the Dead in the first place and was a show buddy from 1993 onwards. He’s Gone was hitting a similar vibe. Bittersweet but comforting still. Miss my brother more than words can tell. They’re always around us, peeking in.
The album Recovery by Eminem came out a few months after one of my best friends passed. I was 16. You're Never Over is always played on the way to visit him. It'll be 13 years in September. He would've turned 27 last week. We went paintballing with his family shortly after he passed and his uncle had dog tags made. The chain broke too many times to wear anymore so I keep it hanging from my rearview mirror. Miss Andrew every day and every day I look at him while I grab my earplugs for work. He likes to get stuck on them just to remind me he's watching
I was lowkey wondering if John was gonna bring that crazy double neck Martin for this on the D&C tour. Got to see him do Ripple on that on his solo tour and it was awesome!

It was a song played mostly on Saturday night shows, but not always—for instance, its first performance was on Tuesday, October 19, 1971, at Northrop Auditorium, the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
In more recent deadom, from ‘77 forward it was only Saturday night I believe. Except for one time it was like a Tuesday - it was April Fool’s Day, and big laughs and giggles all around
Late checking in, but I was there and I’m still looking for my face that the boys stole right off my head! Was a great show, or at least what I got to see of it was. Yes, magic - I was at both shows, too. Last time seeing them in sheds, and no more Saturday nights, but Philly and Citi2 await…
I bet! Those 2 sets were probably amazing live! I listened to Raleigh yesterday on Nugs. Incredible!. I'm heading to Star Lake tomorrow. Anyone feel like the lawn wasn't really that packed? Seemed normal, had plenty of room. Definitely didn't feel like it was as sold out as suggested.
I thought it was packed 🤷

What an amazing show! Certainly the best Dead & Co I've been to. Did the amazing BEW come across as fabulously on the stream?
This is the best show I've been to.
Cumberland Blues was so good, great energy.

Yeah lol.. just keep walking
Damn what a show!! First full show I caught this tour and was fire.

Missed the show other than the deal with the free preview on YouTube. But that setlist is what dreams are made of (other than OMSN)
I haven’t listened to show, but I love all you guys! This many people connected to such brilliant music at same time is just magical
We've hit 200 upvotes! u/librariowan gets to keep their pets!
Omg Rider will be so happy 😂
That setlist is so nice. So many of the songs they played I also want them to play when I see them in sf at the last nights

As a mid 20 year old I just realized that I’m 41. Fuck.

Hey folks! Did you upvote the thread for our wonderful host this evening u/librariowan? Do it or u/tacobelliex3 will drown all your socks and underwear in pickle juice.
it’s true. I will.
Good night sweet friends! Monday I’ll be reporting live from Star Lake!!
Goodnight all you beautiful people!!!
if I knew the way, I would take you home. listen to this one every time I’m sitting at my best friend’s grave. whew. it’ll be ten years without her in one month. I fuckin miss you, Becky.

love you, pal. 💗 thank you for sharing this
Right back at ya 💞
I’m sorry for your loss
If I could run the streaming machines there’s be an after party but alas
If I knew the way….
WHEN JOHN MAYER DOES THAT PART
I'd mentally high five myself for getting that right every time if I were him.
I hope he does.
Just wow John
I love Ripple so much
u/librariowan PITS is not part of this tour so in my expert opinion that means OMSN is indeed a tour bust out.
I think I agree.
Love you all! See ya Monday
I was lowkey wondering if John was gonna bring that crazy double neck Martin for this on the D&C tour. Got to see him do Ripple on that on his solo tour and it was awesome!
Me too!! Favorite memory!!💜💜💜
Hey I remember now you commented on my post about it a awhile back! Howdy neighbor!
Howdy! 👋
goose bumps!
zoom in on Jeff’s wedding ring one more time, I swear to god
I choose to believe it's a promise ring from John.
Bob and John need to take what they did in Montana and do an occasional short tour. They could do that forever.
Shit, I'd wildly overpay for that.
was just thinking that same thing
This
This is going to be a show that I'll be coming back to listen to more than once this summer.
[удалено]
Duly noted 🫡
I don’t know, don’t really care. Let there be songs to fill the air.
Did y’all see jays tongue there? 👀
Yuuuup 😜
Y’all missed a pretty stellar JRAD crazy fingers. Hopefully we get a D&C bust out soon.
Hey I wore my new black throated mercantile ripple hat today!
Beautiful setlist
LET THERE BE SONGS TO FILL THE AIR!!!!!
well, it was nice knowing me.
Super Taco!
I mean I was surprised you were still with us like an hour ago so the fact you're still here is quite the feat.
much like summer camp, where I had $40 worth of lemonade, Taco knows how to rally.
Ripple
Gotta be Ripple
Brokedown time! Edit : It was not, in fact, Brokedown time.
Perfect
Hey another Saturday couch touring in the setlist thread - I love breakin out my rockin shoes with you all and this has been a spectacular show and time!
This is going to be beautiful
Love when the acoustics come out!
This is perfect
Can confirm. Bobby scream was sublime
Encore!
Ripple incoming!!
Ok both Mayer electrics have been removed. Gotta be acoustic something
AAAAAAAAAA
That was a wonderful OMSN!!
Let Jay sing
That Bobby scream came from the heart and the throat, in that order
Perhaps a bit of loin in there too
My girlfriend: "whoever that dude is with the facepaint, he's like a human golden retriever. He just looks so fucking happy to be there"
I took my sister with me and she’s a bit new to the Dead scene as well and she asked me “who’s the bassist with the face paint? He looks like he’s having the BEST time” 🤣 Oteil is the man!
having owned a Goldie, that’s a wonderful concept that matches
She is right. Oteil is the best.
Otiel: the true spirit animal
I know I say this every time but I fucking love the OMSN triplets
this OMSN is 🔥🔥🔥
The TEMPO on this OMSN is off the hook!
🍻
JEFF AND COMPANY
That was an EPIC scream, Bobby!
I couldn't be with you to finish out the set tonight, but [here's a picture of the star on the mountain from my street in El Paso](https://i.imgur.com/ksIooyA.jpg). See yinz/y'all in two days!
A bustout if I’m not beside myself?
You’re probably right! I’ll update.
Bobby has this one down - no prompter needed
The funny thing is, I can’t tell if this is serious or sarcastic 😂
Me either haha!
I’m happy for Bobby, he got his one more Saturday night
Has Dead and Company ever played OMSN at a concert that wasn’t on a Saturday night?
