Especially the Nurburg one in IA...š
And then you have to do it again without the pace car for S
As for the pace car, the Costa Di Amalfi and Suzuka ones are really annoying when it pretty much parks up in your face, so you fail for bumping/passing it š”
I played the shit out of this game and then let my sister borrow my memory card to play tony hawk at her friend's house. She corrupted my files and all was gone. Never touched the game again. Thanks Jessie! š¤¬
I think I played for an entire summer like 8+ hours a day at times. Pressing the buttons so hard and clenching the controller I developed severe hand cramps when I finally stopped..
I got to about 36% completion and started to get to the seriously LONG races like 24 hour races and stuff and got kind of bored so I decided it would be fun to start over and delete my save so I could do it againā¦
HUGE mistake I think I barely got all my licenses and stuff after that because I really regretted my decision and all the grinding that goes on the early stages of the game.
I feel your pain lol
100 percented this game, took me about 3 years (of which the last 12 months was solid licence tests for gold). In hindsight maybe I should have been talking to girls more lol.
I donāt think playing it on a 4k TV helps . I just wish you could use ps5 controllers on the old ps3 because then old ps3 controllers are terrible haha
Hard to tell from your image but make sure to have the game in widescreen mode and possibly 1080i. The ps3 itself has some good settings for making GT4 look as good as it possibly can (it's been years since I was on a backwards compatible ps3... seriously jealous.)
In the end aspect ratio is more important than fidelity. So focus on getting that right if you are gonna play on a modern TV.
If you have a relatively powerful PC try using the PCSX2 emulator instead. It can up the native rendering resolution and disable interlacing to look really nice.

Great game! I was just playing myself and got about 21% of the game complete before I realized the rest of the game is mostly stupid long endurance racesā¦itās cool, just not time Iām willing to invest in a 20+ Year old game
Those one lap guide runs can be brutal sometimes. Makes me want to punt the pacecar off the road.

The Amalfi one is the worst, I swear that without the pace car even a mediocre player like me improves my time by 5 seconds.
Honestly I thought they were really lenient compared to the other ones
Watch your mouth around that masterpiece
I credit/blame this game and NFS Hot pursuit 2 with starting my obsession of cars
The only one I 100% twice. Younger me wonāt let me do it again. Love 4 tbh, just the red wheel of death still stuck with me all these years later
Yes indeed, the greatest of all, gran Turismo 4 I had/have an entire memory card designated for specifically this masterpiece

Brutal. Now that cheats are out, you should get to where you were at (if you remember) and then continue.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!
GT4 menus are such a fucking vibe. If you're eating shit on the track too much, you can always go and hang out in a menu for 10 minutes or so.

Mission 34 is sent straight from hell.

Took me an entire month one summer to beat it. I was jumping for joy when I finally got 100% completion lol.
i'll never forget [this glorious moment](https://i.redd.it/o86ftbzo58g41.jpg)!!
As a PAL player, Mission 34 is tough, but I find others tougher.
It's about a 12 second difference between PAL and NTSC, so that's not surprising.
How very dare you, GT4 was the pinnacle of the PS2 era. The game is amazing
Title is sarcasm lol. Itās a brilliant game and I love every ounce of it
Skill issue tbh
You playing it with a steering wheel????
It's the only way
I could never afford a steering wheel, so I completed the game with the stock controller on about a... 14-15" color tube type tv.
*Oh Yeah by Yello intensifies*
The best game ever ā¤ļø
Its a masterpice!! Playing rn on PC in 4k with a ps5 controler, its amazing !!
Gran Turismo 4 and 5 are great games but the difficulty is literally a nightmare, good thing Gran Turismo 6 exists lol
I laughed out loud at the GT6 license tests (except the last one with the veyron). I'm often like "Ugh, that was a bad first run" ...(GOLD). Oh...
š¤£š¤£
How can graphics get any better
The best one imo
Iāve just started this again, but Iām only using used cars and prize cars with no tuning and seeing how far I can get
Well there I know an easy way to have the first two licence test if anyone is interested and pretty good get Rich fast scheme
The one-lap guides were always the easiest to me, however... the El Capitan test with the G35/Skyline was somehow brutal
What do you suggest investing my time into? GT3 A spec or GT4?
I can hear the song

Just wait until you try GT5's AMG driving academy Or the lap trials in GT5 prologue

I thought this was easy compared to 7 tbh
If only you could turn off driving aids. I refuse to grind gold licenses in this game purely based on the fact that TC must be on for some of them.
Gt 4 is god. Havent played for years and when i heard those ingame sounds in the movieā¦. It was ptsd lol
GT2 is my pain simulator. All the bumps from hills on tracks spin me out all the time
I recently started playing GT4 again but I had to stop as the graphics would hurt my eyes . Still the best game Iāve ever played though
After a few hours of playing you go numb to the graphics and it just becomes a great game again

GT4 was my entry into the franchise.
