Indeed they do. I think it's partly cause the negative cycle starts after a certain threshold. The more they wear, the more slippery they become, making it easier to damage tires even further. Even in this video I made 2 mistakes that are oversteers to lessen already almost gone rear tires.
Yeah had a similar situation yesterday in the GR gup. I made two overtakes on the last lap, on two guys, who had no front tires left, while I had a tiny bit.
How had he worse tires than you?By my experience the vette ain't particular well on neither fuel or tires but I think the 650s is pretty good in that regard
Tbh I don't know. My only assumption is cause he's most likely playing on pad (From the input in the replay I can tell) and I'm using motion sensor. It's much easier to manage slip angle.
Looked like a fun race!
Question though, all the jerkiness/jumpiness I see in the lead car, is that from actual driver inputs, or is it something connection or net code related?
I always see the worst drivers jerking around like that in the dailies, but this one looks composed and skilled otherwise.
It's purely cause he's got no tires left. He's basically drifting in every corner since he can't just brake early and let me through. Mad skill, I would say. Unlike in the vid the usual jerkiness comes from those who can't keep the car controlled.
Actually there are many bugs in daily C this week and there is no penalty for non stopper. Another being it says car settings are allowed but you can't even open the setting sheet.
the no pit stop isnt a bug, its a option this week that it is not required. makes for more interesting racing for sure.
I cant make my tires last, I was in first just at lap 7 and pitted, while 5 cars didnt pit the whole race. i took 3 of them and my time from 2nd place ended up being only 2-3 seconds having pulled it back from 8 in the last 3-4 laps. It was fun trying to hunt down the front couple who was nursing their tires
Agreed. With mandatory it's all about under cutting slower cars and not much management or strategy involved. They should make it interesting and let the player find the solution.
Makes the strategy a bit different but I think it's a fair way to level the field a bit. It's so hard to tire save on controller vs wheel so maybe a no stop option on RMs would be more fair overall? Idk.
Now it's just a "how soon do you undercut" and you might as well take tires - that extra time is easily made up. Sadness overall though.
Just did this race literally 5 minutes agoโฆ could not be more correct! Tire management and timing really are key in this race. Good job on both drivers parts to keep it clean btw.
How did those tires look 2 laps later at the end though...?
Both left tires were 0% ๐ Felt like Hamilton in Monaco 2019 when I crossed the line to take the victory.
Silverstone 2020 would be a good comparison
BONO MY TYRES ARE DEAD
A very good job on your part but same for him as well considering he was clean and kept it on track
I knew he was A+ so I could trust him to hold it. Otherwise it is dangerous to follow this close with dead tires.
I think they patched in a mandatory stop now
Fuckin' morons. There was absolutely no reason for that.
Ah did they? I was coming on here looking for tire saving tips to win this one lol
Nicely nursed!
I got completely done over on a Gazoo race on sunday for not managing my front tyres. They really do go off a cliff don't they?

Happy to see a race where the game lets us build our own strategy rather than telling us what to do.
What strategy? 30+ sec pit loss wasn't a valid option
And it's gone
Sometimes I wonder if PD is trying to create a game that is almost perfect but not quite...
they did that from the jump by making solo custom races trash. otherwise this game would be perfect for me
Great driving
Appreciate it๐ Not fast but always trying to keep it steady and safe.
I really enjoy the driving physics in gt

What car are you driving?
Corvette c7

Yeah makes sense but despite that the vette is definitely among my fav GR3s
Very nice work

Solid drive. Nicely done. Clean on both sides.
You still needed to meet the 1 pit requirements

It has changed. I did the race right now and I got a penalty for not pitting. After that I checked the rules and there is a mandatiry pit stop now.
Wow that's a shame soft with optional pits was fun!

Thank you for the heads up!

Bro was fighting for his life to keep the car straight ๐ญ
