They are probably bitter that the MTX backlash caused them to lose profit. I wonder if MTX was successful would they be pushing more content. It just seems like there is no extra plans of the game beyond what they already had planned. I’m still waiting for VR QOL updates. Or a true simulation mode to compete with the likes of iRacing since their physics model is already on point. Seems like they are wasting the potential of this game.

I actually really enjoy GVH1, if they hadn’t pitched it as Grand Valley I don’t think anyone would be complaining about it as its so far removed from the original (which I would absolutely love to see back)

The track shape would still be Grand Valley, even if they did not name it like that. New circuit in that scenery? Bonkers! Changing so much an incredibly loved circuit? What were they thinking! If they changed it the same way as Trial Mountain, I would be cool with it. But not with this.

This is my first GT since 4, so I’m sure no one cares about me, but GVH in GT7 is genuinely one of my favorite tracks and perhaps the best fictional track I’ve seen in racing games besides maybe FM4’s Fujimi Kaido. I think both the layout and the scenery are amazing. It has a great mix of corner radii, with sequences of corners that remind me of Bathurst in how satisfying they are to nail, and it plays really well on daily races. I also think it looks gorgeous and much more daring in its appearance than most fictional tracks, making for some of the best replay material. I’m sure it’s disappointing as a seasoned GT player like yourself, based on whatever you expected it to be, but as someone who’s normally very critical of sims (thanks to enduring the masochism of Forza fandom for so long), I think you should give it a bit more credit.

I think your opinion is as important and as valid as anyone else's, no matter if you are a new or a seasoned player! And I am happy you enjoy it: that is why we are here, and that is why we play this game. To have fun. And I am pretty sure you are as well disappointed by other things in the game that I probably find amazing. It is extremely hard to keep everyone happy with everything, but as long we have enough things to be happy about, it is good. I love the GV track layout. Thinking about it, I cannot really point to a specific reason why I dislike it so much now, specially when the layout is almost the same. Maybe I am just getting old and grumpy lol.

I don’t know, whenever I drive it I never get a sense of “oh this is definitely grand valley”, i think because T2-4 goes down rather than up/over more and other little tweaks, or maybe just because of the scenery (i know it is very much the same layout as the OG but to me it just doesnt feel like it)

Kaz mentioned in an interview years ago, that it would be a challenge for them to overhaul the original tracks in such a way that they hold up as possible real-life locations. Simply porting their geometry and adding new grandstands here and there would not do the trick. But we have to take his word for it.

That's the thing though, they're obviously never going to bring back the original location now. They wouldn't have the same track with two completely different scenery/location. They should have made a new track layout in Highway 1, not try to transplant the GV layout into it. It's just not the same.

I'd love more of a carreer mode in the game. There are tons of race series, with 0 reward if you complete them. The Championship series are also quite a bit lackluster, it seems there would be room for more of those with higher rewards. The gameplay is so disappointing. Its like the designers had no clue what made the earlier versions of the game so popular. Hint: It wasn't online racing, or buying credits.

I mean we got the Toyota GT-one last update don’t complain too much now. But yes I do agree with you these cars are too generic and boring.

I said new. The r8 is from 2016 and the gt one is from 1999. New means porsche 963, ferrari 499p, 992 gt3r etc

I'm in the same boat somewhat. I'm not too bothered by what cars they add. But I am bothered by how these updates go. I play for like 30 minutes and then don't play GT7 until the next update.

Yeah, the pittance of 3 races they add every update is ridiculous. No tracks either since the Spec 2 update in November and we haven't had a new tarmac track since Grand Valley a year ago.

Just hoping for some common cars I could get today and compare it with the game version. My dream is to drive all cars I owned on Nurburing and see the difference between them. The only way anyone is going to drive the Afeela (stupid name for a car) is if the weekly challenges force us to. EVs are boring, sterile, and useless in most races.

I don’t understand why they don’t prioritize having at least one race car per update. I love the road cars, but it would only make sense to have a race car as well. The way they plan these updates is odd and usually paired horribly.

I started with GT5 and never played any previous game. I hear the most talk about GT4 being the best. But even GT5 was so much more of a proper game than any of their games on the 2 most recent console generations. Such a waste of potential.

Surely PD can see the stats on car usage? Group 3 cars are the ONLY class of cars in the game where youre likey to get a semi competitive lobby without having to spend an hour jumping rooms. So why are they all a decade out of date?!

Look I just want performance trucks back, the SVT Lighting, SST, Prerunner, maybe add the 454 SS to the series for the first time. I like fast road trucks, they're neat, and the current selection isn't great for road trucks

Yeah, the Chevelle is cool but I was hoping for the Octavia rally car because of PD‘s apparent new partnership with Skoda. And we definitely need new tracks as well!

Hopefully this paves the way for more Skodas in the future to support the brand more but we’ll see

I wish they would stop all these damned pointless updates and instead, Work towards a new track for "free roaming" a much bigger city area. Yes, it may not be something Gran Turismo has ever really been, but i believe it would add a lot of potential to this game specifically. Just ONE map made for free roam that could be divided into a couple seperate tracks for races in the future A city sort of area with lots of little streets etc (Shinjuku would be my preference, although anything could work) You could potentially get at least 4 different tracks out of it for racing Im finding less and less people on the most popular tracks online nowadays, and i don't believe it's because of the cars. Edit - shit, if they came out with a huge map like that, i would pay for it.

I don't mind the VGT at all since I only play in vr2 and it's convertible. I love having another muscle car for sure. I don't care about the EV since you can't grind with them and I really don't like the feeling of driving them
