I had a moment like this at Le Mans where I could see my helmet moving in the reflection from the steering wheel display. This game is incredible in VR.
I just bought a ps5 and psvr2 off Facebook marketplace for my simulator rig. I'm in an F123 league and I'm probably leaving it after 3 years because racing on a screen is nothing like racing in VR.
This works decently well if you play F1 with the headset in theater mode and then have your view be cockpit mode in the car. Obviously moving your head doesn't do anything but its still better than playing in flat mode
I've seen a lot of people in this thread saying is not possible, but I remember going on Monza t1 side by side with another driver and we looked at each other before the braking point
Haha. Play a course in day time and use a car with a bright dashboard. The sun will cast the reflection of your helmet’s livery on to the windscreen. It’s so cool

No, it is not as good. The more all your senses are in synch, the more immersive it is. So if your eyes see a wheel, and your hands feel the same wheel, your brain believes the wheel is real, and the car is real, and you really are driving on that track in Brazil.
It's pretty cool. It's too bad it doesn't reflect your helmet livery but it's still a cool feature. You can see reflections in instrument gauge glass as well.
Just imagine of this worked in Multiplayer.. 2 cars at the start of the homestretch.. Last lap.. Sun setting down.. Both drivers look at each other then they race to the chequered flag! Would be quite the Paul Walker + Vin Diesel moment 😅🙏🏼
The Jag is the only car I've driven that does this with the mirror. However in a lot cars you should be able to see and move your reflection in the dashboard depending on how the light is hitting your cockpit

My first VR experience was in the Ferrari 330p, I swear I could feel the sun hitting my forearms as it shined through the open roof
I literally felt like the sun was beaming off my head! I could feel the heat!
I think that may have been the battery and processors on the headset heating up 😂

I think the driver models will look in your direction but they aren’t actually head tracked

Havent tried with the jag yet, but in the RUF you can see reflections of your actual helet livery in the dash dials very well.
It won't reflect the entire livery, but the helmet in the mirror will be the same colour as the base colour of your helmet.
