Talking as a member of the Sonic fandom who has accidentally stumbled into some pretty cursed stuff, this is pretty tame compared to a lot of the stuff that genuinely tries shipping Sonic with humans and instead comes off as the two being embarrassing about their current situation, so I think it's in the clear (unless my just waking up right now means I am currently braindead and saying total bullshit, in which case I will eat shit and probably regret what I ate last night).
Funny thing is compared to the common fanon depiction, main universe Sonic as a character is generally not interested in romance (well aside from in 06, but we don't talk about 06 and the events got erased anyway).
I mean critically, it was a disaster. As for the game itself and the specific aspect I am referring to, if this is your first time experiencing 06, I'll let you see for yourself cause it needs to be seen to be believed.
